ALEX
I’m so grateful to have Jack as a kid. Though Nora keeps claiming it’s for Dominic, I still don’t believe. There’s a lady wolf in my pack whom I wanted to replace Nora, and she actually returned to save me after Dominic captured her from my pack through his warriors!
What are his efforts for, now?
I shut my eyes and open them immediately when I realize the silver wolf, Amanda, is not right here with me. Has she been captured again?
“Alec, I went to get some food for you. Eat and be revived. You need some energy.” She says, approaching. Her rounded hips and cute lips overwhelm me as I can’t wait to grab and claim her.
“Come quick.” I beckon and she scoots over to my side more quickly than earlier.
“I sense there’s a particular thing you’d like to inform me about. What’s it?” I inquire, though it’s just a guess.
“Thanks for the notice. I met Dominic on my way to get you some food. He was trying to catch a whiff of my scent but I masked it. That’s why you even slept off and didn’t wake up until I was out of his reach.”
“You masked my scent as well?” I ask.
“Nope. I masked my scent and it masked yours accordingly.” She retorts.
“But how’s that? We aren’t even mated. I didn’t mark you.” I state.
“I’m a silver wolf. I’ve been in your pack for a long while. I understand that you recently discovered that, and you don’t want to let me know you are aware.” She says.
“A silver wolf indeed. Can you be a Luna for my pack?” I ask her out immediately.
“I have always wished to be a Luna for your pack but Nora has shut me down several times. There was a time I attempted to seduce you. I even did. But you weren’t moved because this wicked woman was by your side. You tried to get back to me after sneaking out of the room but I wasn’t available. She apportioned a lot of works to my care so that I won’t have to meet with you.” She explains.
“This rant shouldn’t be to me. It should be ro Nora. She’s responsible.”
“Did she ever give birth to a son for you?” She inquires, her eyes darting to and fro. I feel an urgent need to answer that question.
“I really can’t say.”
“You see?!” She screams and up to five wolves materialize. I glare at them and then at her.
“What are these for?”
“To keep you somewhere safe. You’ll remain there until I make my findings and ensure Nora didn’t bear a child for you.” She states as her eyes suddenly look wild to me. I hold my lips, unable to absorb the shock from her words.
“You surely aren’t doing this to an Alpha. An alpha of your pack.” I express, chuckling softly to ease the tension.
“It might surprise you to realize that I actually am.” She says, her lips moving weirdly. I shrug my shoulders, hoping to survive with the wild wolves taking me to an unknown destination. I can’t fight her or the feral wolves. They’ll surely win and I’ll only have more bruises.
“I hope I’ll be totally safe. And hey, ensure you don’t hurt Nora in any way.”
She smirks, “good boy, I love your cooperation. What about your twin brother?”
I don’t bother asking how she discovered that. I only respond, “to hell with him.”
“Does that mean he can be hurt?” She inquires, making me feel pissed always.
“Amanda, ensure you check up on me everytime. I will expect you in the destination.”
She whispers to herself, “is it even somewhere I can go to? I don’t want to burn.”
I pretend not to hear those words. Are the wolves leading me to hell? I’ve never been there anyways. If things don’t turn out well, I’ll employ my Alpha power and do the undoable.
“Bye, Alex. See you!”
| NORA’s POV|
I am alone sitting in my chamber. Jack has left in anger when I don’t reveal a few secrets to him. I already asserted the fact that Amanda is my sister but he sought to know who my mother is, who our mother is.
He returns with a serious look on his face, “Mum, Amanda is on her way back! She’ll soon be here.”
I shift my gaze to his eyes intentionally, “seriously? Should we stop her from coming here?”
“Let’s go to dad’s pack!” He screams, denoting the urgency.
“Here’s dad’s pack, kiddo.” Dominic cuddles him from behind, smirking widely.
“You’re my uncle, get the fuck out of here!” Jack releases himself from the grip, grunting wildly. I wonder what he will be capable of, when he finally gets a wolf.
“Warn this boy not to call me his uncle anymore. If I deal with you, you’d regret being in this world.”
“I already do!” Jack screams back and we fall silent. Dominic later shrugs off his words and he turns to face me, “I heard your sister is on her way back. I already mind linked my beta to bring her home safely.”
“That’s not happening.” Jack says, blinks his eyes rapidly as he pushes Dominic away from the front door. He runs out of the pack but Dominic hinders me from moving out.
“He’s going to be a warrior. A very powerful one. Leave him to learn the hard way.” He whispers. I deliver a stinging slap to his face and he retaliates immediately by pushing me to the wall, strangling me severely.
“Because she is your sister? Because he is your kid? She’s also my MATE, he’s also my KID!” He screams into my ears but I only chuckle.
He removes his hands from my neck, sighing intently, “if she returns to this pack, she’ll never be able to leave. It’s a promise!”
Having said that, he barges out of the room. I’m not sure if he has masked the pack’s scent but that can’t affect the mind connection between I and my sister. I lock the door quickly, and enter the mind link.
“Amanda, are you safe?” I ask, my heart panting wildly. I don’t know what else to ask.
“I should be asking you.” She retorts with a cool voice. I feel refreshed by those words.
“Anyways, someone named Jack is here. He claims to be here to help me. I’m about injecting him with wolfsbane, do you know him and is he a wolf?” She asks.
“Damn! Amanda, that’s my kid. Hope you haven’t done any harm to him.”
“Not yet. I can release him now. He’ll be safe with me. Your son is also my son.”
“Dominic’s Beta and wolves are coming for you.” I inform.
“To hurt me?”
“No. To bring you here safely.”
“Where’s here?”
“Dominic’s pack. I’m currently here.”
“Permit them to come. I’ll follow them behind.”
Before I say a word, she disconnects from the mind link and I notice a figure in front of me. I realize that the door has been hewed down and someone has barged in.
“The Alpha ordered me to call you to his quarters. Your sister is almost here and he needs to inform you about a few things.” The beta states and begins to leave but I grab him by the hair, pushing him to the wall. My wolf grows aggressive to the extent that I consider murdering him.
I strangle him for a few more minutes, while punching him severely on the belly. I also twist his neck, almost wolfing out. He drops to the ground suddenly. I check his wrist and he’s dead! A creepy smile is found on my lips as I drag his dead body, and fling him out of the pack’s premises. A few wolves point at me, threatening to report to the Alpha but I run back to my room.
I killed his beta and I’m so glad I did. I am expecting my sister and what Dominic will do to her.
