Who Is More Frustrated?

Mum is definitely coming to check up on me in school. The wolf healer has tried his best to heal Alec but he hasn’t responded to the treatment.
I suddenly feel a touch behind me and I stare back just to see mum.
“What are you doing here?” I ask, my voice hoarse.
“You visited Alex last!.”
“Visited?”
“Saw, I mean. I need you right in Dominic’s pack. Let’s find him through our mind links. We will also employ my younger sister.” She says but suddenly holds her lips.
“Who’s your younger sister?” I intently ask.
“I was… that was a slip of the tongue. Come on, Alex is not safe. I can sense it within me. My wolf stopped talking to me. It didn’t give me any reason.” She complains.
“I-I was present when Dominic injured him and I put a call through to you. Did I not?!” I scream back at her. She fidgets, trying to maintain composure.
“I didn’t get here on time, I’m sorry.”
“What do you need me for in Dominic’s pack? What the hell do you need me for?” I ask with my voice raised.
“He returned to his pack and claimed his brother is in trouble. He even stopped me from coming here but I sneaked out of his pack just to make sure I’m present here.” She explains.
She sighs since I don’t respond, “can you take me to where he is?”
“No. A pack healer for one of the packs here already left with him for treatment.”
“Damn, Jack. Why would you do that!”
“Why not?! Did you look responsible? Mum, stop being so fake. You can take your leave now.”
She remains mute and as I’m about walking out on her, she reveals a secret, “but Dominic is your father!”
I’m forced to look back and pause. I stare daggers at her before I gather words to say to her.
“All my life, we lived in Alex’s pack. He trained us and bought us goodies. I registered in an high school because of him. He could afford it. Where was Dominic?”
I permit a lone tear to roll down my cheeks. She moves closer but I take a few steps back.
“Don’t come any closer. I’m disappointed in your words. And one more thing, do not ever come here to visit me. Let’s make things clear now. Once and for all.”
Her expression suddenly switches and she becomes as aggressive as I’ve been, “stop saying rubbish! I came here for Alec.”
“Hey, two of you should get out of the school’s premises. You’re disturbing the next class.” A lecturer suddenly warns, appearing behind us.
I move out of the vicinity so my case doesn’t get tougher. She moves behind me and once we reach outside, she begins to drag me to Dominic’s pack, screaming, “remember you haven’t gotten a wolf. Don’t let me hurt you with my wolf!”
“Do! Please do! Kill me right here!” I scream in return. Though I am a bit afraid that she might resort to hurting me with her wolf because I refuse to cooperate, I keep screaming.
“I’ll let you know where Alex is. I’ll explain. Just leave me!”
“We’re almost at his pack. Can you see the work of my wolf?” She boasts.
“I don’t want Dominic. We’re not friends. He’s nothing but my uncle!”
Dominic suddenly appears in front of us. He had moved so quickly from his pack to bring us home, once he heard my voice. Nora releases her grip on me and I consider running away but the gleaming eyes of Dominic cancels my thought completely.
“My brother is weak and I sent a pack doctor to take him to the jungle and heal him.” He discloses.
“Never ever lie! Not even in my presence. I ordered the pack healer to heal him, not you. Mother fucker.” I point my fingers at him but he only smirks to appease his anger.
“Son, you’re the future of my pack. You and Jake. I can’t release you to a vagabond.”
“He doesn’t even have a good relationship with his brother. What a shame. Both of you are twins, aren’t you?” Nora interrupts.
I roll my eyes angrily at her, “should you talk? Should you say a word? Look at your double husbands – Dominic and Alec. Aren’t they twins? Are they not haters to themselves?”
“Who the hell told you we are twin brothers?” Dominic asks, his voice laced with fury.
“No one actually need to. I’m fourteen and I will be fifteen soon. I might be lucky to have my wolf before eighteen. I’m no longer the four year old kid. Oh, I forgot. You weren’t here when I was four year old. You were still searching for our pack’s scent.” I chuckle a bit to demonstrate my intentional mockery at him.
“You told him all these, didn’t you?” Dominic attacks Nora instead and I deem it fit to sneak out of their presence due to this chance.
“Where is my silver wolf? Where is the girl?” Dominic growls at Nora. I remember that the pack healer I employed to heal Alex is a silver wolf and she claimed to be Amanda.
I remain mute about that. I’m very glad to discover she’s Dominic’s favorite.
“I swear, I don’t know where she is.” Nora claims.
“You sent her out of the pack, didn’t you? I’ve been noticing your interest in this girl. Why did you lie to me?” He asks.
She coughs slightly, “lie about what?”
I suddenly fling a stone at them, so there will be some interruption and the truth will not be revealed. Amanda might be related to Nora in a way. She talked about a sister when she walked into the school’s premises.
She winks her eyes at me when Dominic react to my act. With that, she beckons to me to follow her and we both get down to Dominic’s pack.
I myself don’t know the location of Alex and the silver wolf but I know she’ll be capable of healing Alex. I try to find his scent but I remember I haven’t gotten a wolf yet.
I hurry up to catch up with Nora and when I am now with her, I inquire, “what about Alex? How do we find him?”
“Amanda is my sister. I have better connection with her. Even if she masks her scent, I can still track her down.” She reveals.
“Wow, that’s great. But how come Dominic couldn’t track down Alex since they are twin brothers?”
“Did I mention that I’m a twin sister to Amanda?”
“You’re sisters. Same should happen for twins.”
“Dominic is poor with tracking of location. Also, the pack’s scent was masked with Alex’s scent. Right now, Amanda can only mask her scent, not a pack’s. She doesn’t have a pack.”
“So, if I have a pack, I can mask my scent with the pack’s so no one can find us?”
She slowly nods her head, her lips moving slowly, “yeah.”
Her lips suddenly tremble when she notices a presence behind us.
It’s Dominic. He smirks, “I heard everything you discussed.”
