These are not humans that are wolves yet to shift. These are werewolves. There’s a lycanthrope amongst them. That must be their leader. How did they get in here? I’m sure they must have destroyed a few structures before being able to access here.
“Did you deceive me?” I inquire from Amanda, my lips shivering from fear of being caught and jailed. Worst, being publicized as a bad student while Jake is praised for being a cool, yet he’s a cool dumbass. They don’t describe in full.
“If you call it that. Wolves, seize him.” She orders but I push her to the ground and split her clothes apart. I remove all of her clothes with speed even before the wolves reach me. I am amazed at how fast that happened. I roll my eyes at the wolves, attempting to shift like my double fathers but nothing happens. I was only slapped on the chin and dragged away.
I look back at Amanda and gulp at her full fledged body. She doesn’t even bother to quickly find what she’ll cover her body with. It seems like she is waiting for a customer to attend to her. Slut. Just like Harley Donovan. I’ve read about her being a top slut for Dominic for the past many years.
I still don’t know where I am being led to. I desire my wolf better now because it will be aggressive if I have it, and fight off these people.
As we reach a dimly lit hall, they fling me at the centre, as everyone gathers around me.
“We heard information about you. We’re here to confirm if it is true, so we can take some actions. We recommend that you give us details to the best of your knowledge.” A burly man states. I glare at him, maintaining a straight face.
“What’s it?” I coldly askz feeling confined at the centre of the hall.
“You lured Amanda into being impregnated by a male wolf. An alpha. The Alpha of your pack actually.” He accuses boldly.
I chuckle sternly, and fall silent afterwards.
“Our words don’t make any sense to you?”
“You’re right. They don’t. You should make some findings before you lay an accusation against a citizen. It’s not your right.” I retort boldly.
“If you get out of this hall unscathed, call me a bastard.” The burly man hollers, and orders some hefty men to guard the entrance of the doors.
Amidst the tension, I let out a slight chuckle. I’m sure they think I must be up to something because of my fearless moves.
“I need to see Dominic and Alec. We need to talk one-on-one. Can you leave now?” I inquire.
“Burn his skin.” The burly man orders.
“I am not a vampire. Such doesn’t reduce my power.” I state, briskly moving away from the centre of the hall but I can’t really escape out of the hall without fighting them off..
“Don’t mind his words. Burn his skin!” The burly man orders. I look around me as reality dawns on me. No mother around, no Dominic, no Alex. And most importantly, no wolf yet. I consider pleading with him for release but I am reminded that warriors don’t plead, they fight for whatever they want.
“I need to leave… now.” I say as I clip. I suddenly let out an earsplitting scream as they sprint backwards due to the pressure from the scream. I seize the opportunity to escape from the hall and luckily, the hefty men permitted me to leave. It feels awkward. I mean their sudden softness of hearts. Have I even met the guards earlier? I didn’t even see their faces. I can’t conclude yet.
But as I walk out of the hall, I hear the door slam shut and thuds approaching. I look back and see them heading towards me. If not for Alex, I would run away from them.
Alex and Dominic actually disguised as a member for the burly man’s pack. They remove the masks and crawl out of the structured shape.
“Jack, seriously, you should consider having your own pack as soon as you get your wolf.” Dominic says as he pants roughly. Alex keeps struggling to get out of the structured shape.
“I will consider it. I don’t have what it takes, though. I don’t even know a lot of people. I don’t attend lectures regularly. But I think reading werewolf books will be a key to my high performance as an Alpha.”
Alex begins to shift suddenly as Dominic and I are shocked to experience that kind of delayed shifting, causing groans to erupt from his lips.
“What do we do?” I feel pity for his condition, inquiring from Dominic. He shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly, suggesting we take a quick move.
“What did you do to your brother?!” I scream at Dominic as I rush towards Alex. His eyes look feeble and his lips are pale already. His clothes are torn apart already and he’s halfway being a werewolf.
“Did you hinder his power to shift? Remember wolfsbane and silver injection.” I speak to Dominic.
“I didn’t hinder his power. I only weakened his wolf so he doesn’t get to attack me when I’ve convinced you to return to my pack.”
I sigh in frustration.
“Why should I return? I’m not Nora. Why are you after my life, uncle?” I oppose.
“Don’t ever in your random life call me your uncle anymore!!” He angrily rebukes. Though those words can be expected, but I didn’t expect them.
“See, mum told us Alex is our father and I can’t keep believing two contradicting facts. It’s OK. You can take your leave. If I’ll return home, I’ll decide the type of the father I’ll go for.”
Dominic rolls his eyes at me, shaking his head in disappointment, as he walks out of the wall, not muttering anymore words.
I lower myself to check up on Alex but he’s grown weaker. He begins to wail, feeling enervated much worse every single moment that passes. I unintentionally lift his shirt. I scream on top of my lungs, after observing the deep cut on his belly.
“Did your brother do this to you?” I inquire an urgent answer.
He chuckles softly, “Jack, you don’t worry, huh? It’s Okay, I’m going to be fine.”
I swipe my cellphone out of my pocket, as Nora takes the call at the first ring once I call her number.
“Hello.” She whispers, sounding weak,. obvious in her voice.
“Alex has been stabbed with silver! Bring him a cure or else he’ll die.” I shiver as I inform her. Before she can say a word, I hang up but notice an unusual silence from Alex.
“Alec?” I call but his slow, weak voice doesn’t say a word. I lower myself again to ensure he’s fine. As I feel his pulse, I conclude he’s gone.
Orion Blackwood, P. K. A Alec is dead. What do I tell Nora?
I slowly rise to my feet as I scream on top ofu lungs. Does this mean silver injection terminate wolf’s abilities to heal wound as well? I keep asking myself questions no one is ready to answer. Sincerely, I prefer Alex to Dominic and I’m set to ensure he lives again, even if it has to cost Dominic’s life.
