Unbelievable Surrender

Book:Pregnant For The Twin Alphas Published:2024-6-4

Music blares the whole surrounding, as we drop to the floor, right in front of the pack. I notice the music mainly comes from inside of the pack. I remain naked but Jack flings a few clothes at me, having stolen it from someone’s backpack. We enter the pack and are surprised to find everyone being merry and dancing to the rhythm of the song.
I inquire from one of them, “what is going on?”
“A pack has decided to join our pack since their Alpha has grown weak…” He explains but his friend knocks his fist on his forehead.
“The Alpha is now a rogue and nowhere to be found. So, they decided to join our pack so we can be one. They’ll be the subjects and we’d dictate whatever action they’ll take.” His friend simplifies.
I shake my head in disbelief, “well, even if that’s true, does that permit this serious celebration? It’s normal for a weak pack to join a stronger one, isn’t it?”
“It is. But not just a regular pack surrended to us. Our rival pack did.” He continues.
My eyes bulge as different thoughts flood my mind: rival pack? Who’s rival to Alexander? I don’t know anyone who is, except Dominic. Dominic can never surrender to the Alpha King’s pack, not to talk of Alexander, his twin brother. That’s very impossible.
“Dominic?” I inquire, trying to confirm my suspicion anyways.
“Our Luna is such a brilliant one. Despite her absence, she figured out the reason for the celebration in a few minutes.” He responds.
I chuckle softly, shifting him away from my presence so I can walk further into the pack. Jack creeps behind me, as his face still looks swollen and hurt. I direct him to use the restroom, but I commit him into the hands of a formidable werewolf should he attempt to escape again.
I bump into Alexander when I proceed to his quarters, and he remains startled at my presence.
“You came right in time. You did a good job. Serve her a whole chicken. If possible, three portions.” He gracefully instructs his wolves but I hold him back, revealing a different intention within me with my creased forehead.
“I got Jack, don’t ask about that. Why the hell would Dominic join the pack? The strongest wolf I’ve ever encountered? It’s not possible.” My breaths trembles as I utter, my hopes at the verge of dwindling in case he confirms the doubt.
“He did. I was very shocked and I couldn’t wait to accomodate you so you’d witness the father of your kids giving up his pack to his brother.”
“Where’s he? Did you lock him up?” I inquire, my patience declining into nothing.
“Dominic? No. He never was here. His werewolves invaded this pack and claimed to have come to serve us as long as the pack keeps ruling. We welcome them and I instructed my wolves to be on the alert should they have a different and underlying reason.” He delivers his speech. I stare at him with disdain in my eyes. I express a look of disappointed afterwards, before I utter any response.
“You should be an Omega instead of an Alpha Male. You’re as daft as your dad. How could you welcome them to your pack, knowing well that they’re from your brother’s pack? Could Dominic have simply given up on his pack to release them to you? Not even you or your pack!” I slightly scream at him but he shushes me. I hold my lips literally to avoid any other words falling, since I can’t control myself at the moment.
“We can talk.” He whispers to me, directing us to the restroom for a quiet conversation as his quarters is noisy but active.
Jack hides behind the door when we enter and I shield him to escape before I shut the door. I don’t want Alec to learn about him using this particular restroom – he’d punish him for that.
“Jake resumed school already. I forgot to inform you.”
I glare fiercely at him, “why could you not expect me to arrive here with Jack beside me? They could have resumed at the same time. Why do you act so silly most times?”
“Moving forward, I won’t accept any insults from you. Be mindful of your words to enhance the betterment of the pack. I entrusted Jack to the hands of an Alpha of one of the packs in the high school. Jack can belong to the pack if he’s interested.”
“It shows you don’t care about the kids.”
“You’ll never call them my kids! All you know is to call them ‘the kids!” Didn’t we even agree to delay Jack’s resumption so he learns his lesson the hard way?”
I maintain a straight face, responding, “still standing on that point. He’ll be restricted to the pack and will resume school only after three weeks later. I will inform him about it.*
“Where’s Dominic?” I change the topic before he responds to my previous question.
“I honestly don’t know.”
I kick his groin suddenly as he groans deeply, feeling hurt by my moves.
“His werewolves must be here for a purpose. They can’t submit to you, not that easily. That’s so sudden and unbelievable.”
“As much as it was unbelievable when you shifted under the blue moon.” He derides as I remain quiet. When he turned me and we expected the full moon to come, and it came eventually, shifting was a bit tough for me as I was formerly human and didn’t know much about werewolves.
The door vibrates suspiciously and I budge the doorknob, opening it widely. Jack’s dressed in his uniform, with his backpack strapped to his back. I look at Alex and he looks at me.
“Come on, get inside!” Alex screams at him as he runs out of his presence. Warriors pursue him to hold him back so he doesn’t escape this time around. I just hope they’ll be successful. I try to help them too but Alec holds me back.
“I have a few words for you.” He whispers as the door slams shut due to his harsh hit at it.
