Chapter 461 It Feels So F*cking Awesome!

The sky was dark with only the faint light of a few stars in the sky.
In the darkness, Dorothy knew that Melanie must have brought a lot of men with her. However, she didn’t know exactly how many there were. But from the constant sounds of bullets being shot, she guessed there were a lot of them.
She didn’t know how Credence could see Melanie under such low visibility.
However, she knew that if she couldn’t take good care of herself, she would definitely be a burden for Credence. If that happened, the two of them wouldn’t be able to escape at all.
Thinking about this, Dorothy bit down on her lip hard. The stinging pain forced her to calm down. She held the steering wheel tightly with both her hands and slowly stepped on the accelerator with her right foot.
When Credence jumped out of the car, she had just stopped, but she didn’t turn the engine off. So long as Dorothy stepped on the gas pedal, their car would move along the road. Credence however was going the other direction.
Bullets whizzed past outside, and in the deathly stillness of the night, the loud bangs of gunfire rang out clearly. From time to time, one or two bullets would land on the car window, causing a sharp and ear-piercingly loud sound. However, oddly enough, it didn’t pierce the thin car window, and Dorothy wasn’t injured at all.
She realized the car was bulletproof. Credence must have arranged it.
So long as she was able to drive away quickly, she might be able to save herself.
But if she left, what was going to happen to Credence?
Was she supposed to just run away and let Credence face Melanie and all those other murderers and bodyguards alone?
No, she absolutely couldn’t!
Several thoughts flashed through her mind. She silenced all of them. She couldn’t make up her mind, and she couldn’t muster the courage to step on the accelerator. She only came to her senses after Credence suddenly started pushing the car from behind and shouted, “Honey, hurry, go!”.
Their enemies were hiding in the dark while they were completely exposed. Dorothy didn’t dare to turn on the car lights, instead, she hurriedly rolled down the window, leaving a small gap. She turned around towards the man who was standing proudly at the back of the car and protecting her with all his strength. Her eyes were a little red, and she shouted, “I’m not leaving. What will happen to you if I leave? Credence, either we leave together, or we die together!”
“Why are you so stubborn?”
Seeing how determined Dorothy was in staying with him, Credence had no other choice. He smiled and shook his head dotingly.
This was the woman he had always loved. She was not afraid of danger or death. As long as she could be with him, there was nothing for her to fear, not even death.
He could tell that Melanie was approaching them, it was too late for Dorothy to leave now.
Since she had decided to stay with him, then he had to consider every aspect of the situation. He had to protect her life even at the expense of his own. He also needed to worry about the child in her womb.
Under the dark sky, his eyes suddenly turned sharp as he listened to the sound of the wind. He dodged a fast-moving bullet and quickly shot back.
“Ah… ”
On the other end, in a corner five meters away, a hoarse scream rang out. Soon, the voice faded and went silent.
Credence’s eyes turned colder than frost. He immediately caught the sound of Melanie’s highly trained footsteps. She was roughly four meters away to his left.
She also brought a lot of people with her. Behind her were large jeeps. The lights were bright as they moved towards them. The surrounding area was brightly lit up.
However, he only had one pistol in his hand and a few spare machine guns in the trunk. The odds of him winning against such a large group of people were little to none.
Unless, he and Dorothy could survive until Marvin and his men arrived.
Credence closed his lips, his face turned cold. He immediately aimed the gun at Melanie and fired without hesitation.
Melanie dodged it swiftly and squinted her cold and ruthless eyes. She held a pistol in her hand and pointed at the man she loved and hated. Her eyes were red. “Credence, where were you taking that weak b*tch wife of yours to? Were you two having so much fun that you’ve abandoned your men?”
“Do you know how many people I have killed along the way? There were 50 people in your elite team, including the drivers. All of them have been killed by my men. It felt so f*cking awesome!”
“Credence, the men I brought this time aren’t trash with little to no skills. All of them are special agents who have climbed up from piles upon piles of corpses. Including me, there are 120 of us. Even if this ends up as a long fight, I will be able to tire you out!”
Melanie sneered cruelly as she stared at the man who was firmly protecting Dorothy. The hatred in her eyes was deep and immense. “Credence, I am a very vengeful person. From the moment you sent me into prison, I swore that I would kill you myself! Tonight, not only do I want you to die, I’ll kill your weak wife and send the two of you to hell!”
“Credence, why aren’t you retaliating? You aren’t stalling for time until Marvin comes to rescue you, are you?” Melanie raised her cold eyes and laughed smugly. “That idiot Marvin fell into my trap and is now stuck on the mountain. He won’t be able to escape even if he was given a few extra hours. By the time he and his men arrive to rescue you, you would already be dead, haha!”
Melanie’s laughter was extremely arrogant, as it echoed in the dead silence of the air. It startled the birds in the woods and shocked Dorothy.
She didn’t expect Melanie to arrive so quickly, nor did she expect her hatred for Credence to have festered so deeply.
If that was the case, it would be impossible for Credence and her to escape unscathed.
What should they do?
What were she and Credence supposed to do?
Suddenly, she noticed the jeeps were turning. The lights were swept to another direction, away from them, leaving them in the dark again.
In the darkness, Dorothy suddenly realized that Credence had disappeared without a trace.
She couldn’t even hear his breathing.
Dorothy was anxious, but she didn’t dare to scream at such a critical moment, she did not want to interrupt his plan. She still had to protect the child in her womb, so she desperately curled up into a ball on the seat and lowered her head.
Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Her heart was thumping in panic and confusion.
Melanie also realized this. This damned man suddenly disappeared from her sight, leaving only a bulletproof car and his weak b*tch inside the car.
At that moment, Melanie bitterly hated herself for rushing over without bringing along a bomb or some other fierce firearm.
Since the car was bulletproof, blowing up a few packs of explosives would easily destroy the car and the person inside. How could Dorothy, that weak b*tch, still be able to hide in the car so leisurely?
Melanie was well aware of Credence’s abilities, so she vigilantly looked out for him. Then, her charming eyes glanced sideways at the man standing beside her. “Zayn, Credence has something up his sleeve. You and your men need to be careful!”
