“Bang! Bang!” Juelz was caught off guard and got hit on the back by Credence’s iron fists. He was in so much pain that his vision turned blurry and almost fainted.
He turned around and met with Credence’s cold stare. He was furious and shouted hoarsely. “Credence, are you out of your f*cking mind?”
“Shut the f*ck up!”
Credence wouldn’t answer him. His long and narrow eyes were uncaringly furious. He grabbed Juelz’s arm and threw him on his back with intense force.
Juelz didn’t have time to dodge. He was immediately thrown towards the door frame of the next ward and landed on his nose. Fresh blood flowed out of it.
When Juelz caught the faint smell of blood, he touched the blood on his nose with his hand. He fell into a rage and shouted. “Credence, why?! What right do you have to hit me?! Dory almost lost her baby because of you, even now, she’s still in immense pain. I haven’t even sought you out for revenge, so what gives you the right to hit me? Fine then, come on, I haven’t had time to seek you out, but you’ve come to me instead. Credence, even if I die today, I’m dragging you to hell with me. So long as you’re dead, Dory won’t have to live in pain anymore.”
“Send me to hell? You and what army?”
Credence scoffed and stared at Juelz’s broken but unyielding face. He knew exactly what he wanted to do at this moment. He would kill this man who had been coveting Dorothy.
“What? You want to kill me now?” Juelz said in a mocking tone.
Juelz stood up and prepared to pounce on Credence. Unexpectedly, Marvin rushed in from the side, reached out, and stopped him.
They struggled, but Juelz knew that he was no match against Marvin in a fight. He frowned and yelled at Credence. “Credence, what the f*ck do you want? I’m telling you, even if you break-in, it will be useless. Dory won’t forgive you, she will never forgive you.”
Credence was about to walk into the ultrasound room when Juelz yelled at him. He turned around and shot Juelz a frigid glare. His gaze was colder than ice, and it was deeper and more silent than the deepest rivers of hell. Juelz was so shocked by this, he froze on the spot.
Seeing Juelz in a daze, he sneered. “Since when does an outsider like you have the right to interfere with our relationship?”
Credence looked away and walked into the room.
Juelz quickly came to his senses. He was so angry that he managed to kick Marvin away. “F*ck you, Marvin, you’re just a nosy motherf*cker. Mind your own business, or I’ll kill you.”
Juelz was on the verge of exploding. He waved his fists and kicked Marvin, but the two of them were worlds apart in terms of skills. With just a few moves, Marvin dodged all of Juelz’s attacks and his wrists were quickly restrained.
The sharp pain Juelz felt seemed to spread into his heart, his eyes widened from the pain. “Marvin, let me go, let me in. I can’t let Dory face Credence alone. She’ll be in pain. If this continues, she’ll die! Don’t you get it? Do you understand?”
“No, I don’t understand! All I know is that no matter how great someone’s wife is, she is still someone else’s wife.”
Marvin didn’t let him go. Instead, he dragged Juelz away and threw him into the smoking-room at the end of the corridor. “Juelz, let me be clear. Dorothy is Credence’s wife. No matter how sad she is, it is his business, and doesn’t have anything to do with you! As a man, you have to stop making an absolute fool of yourself!”
Juelz tripped and fell down, then slowly picked himself up. The only way out was being blocked by Marvin, there was no escape. His eyes turned red from anxiety. “You think I’m shameless for taking care of Dory? Marvin, what do you know? If Credence hadn’t flirted with all those other women or hurt Dory over and over again, she wouldn’t be so depressed. No matter how much I adore her, I will never have a chance to be close to her!”
“So all of this is Credence’s fault. If Dory hates him or rejects him, then it’s because of his own doing, he deserves it!”
“I still stand by what I said. They are married, and it is their business. There isn’t a need for an outsider like you to get involved!”
Marvin’s deep and serene eyes swept over Juelz, he turned and walked out of the smoking room. Taking a small key from his pockets, he locked the door with a click and shut Juelz firmly inside.
“Marvin, how dare you lock me in here. F*ck you.”
Juelz continued to shout, as Marvin walked further and further away. He gradually walked far enough until he couldn’t hear him anymore.
….
Inside the quiet ultrasound room.
After Juelz left, Dorothy felt immense pain. It hurt her so badly that she felt dizzy. She felt like she was hallucinating, and she seemed to have heard Juelz screaming.
She didn’t say anything, even the doctors who were examining her were silent.
Right now, the most important thing to do is to work together and find the best solution to protect the child in her womb.
When Credence walked in, Dorothy caught a whiff of his familiar scent, and she thought that she was dreaming.
As his scent grew stronger, she felt something was wrong. She opened her eyes. Under the bright surgical lights, she saw a face with a look of unconcealable fatigue. It felt like the sun had risen, but was covered by dark clouds.
For a split second, Dorothy felt pity for Credence.
However, she gently shook her head and removed that ridiculous thought from her mind.
In this world, she could feel pity for anyone, everyone except Credence.
“Credence, what are you doing here? Aren’t I miserable enough? Are you here to sprinkle salt on my wound?”
Dorothy wrung her pale lips at the man who was approaching, and she sneered in a hoarse voice. “But, it’s good that you are here! Let’s make things clear. I want to end our relationship.”
“Credence, I’ve thought about it. Since Melanie is the most important thing to you, then I won’t stop you. Let’s go our separate ways.”
“So, let’s… let’s get divorced! We did it once before, it doesn’t matter if we do it again.”
