In an elegant restaurant.
As soon as Jeremy and Wilson walked in, the restaurant owner greeted them with a smile. He bowed and said, “Mr. Sherman, I am very sorry. The entire second and third floors have been booked. Would you mind moving over to the fourth floor?”
Jeremy frowned. His eyes gave off a sinister glare. Glancing at Wilson, he stopped in his tracks and began to slowly light a cigarette. He took one breath after another, and his eyelids narrowed so deeply that wrinkles appeared.
Wilson understood his boss’ expression and walked over to the restaurant owner. He had a wicked smile on his face. “Hey, tell me, who here thinks that they can just book up two whole floors? Who would be so bold as to make my boss move to a different room than his usual one?”
“Mr. Sherman…” The restaurant owner was so scared, his legs turned weak and he almost fell to the ground. In a stutter, he explained. “It’s, it’s Mr. Scott, Credence. He’s brought a woman, a coquettish woman who looks really fierce.”
Upon hearing this, Jeremy raised his head and glanced at the second floor. He licked his lower lip with interest. There was a mischievous look in his eyes.
“So Credence brought a date. And it’s not Dorothy?”
“How interesting.”
Wilson ignored the terrified restaurant owner. He turned around and looked at Jeremy. “Boss, what should we do? The other bosses are on their way. All of them will be here in twenty minutes.”
“We will have our meeting in our usual private room.”
Jeremy sneered. “Come on, let’s go and watch the fun. Let’s see what kind of woman Credence is hooking up with.”
“Alright then, let’s go.”
Wilson followed Jeremy from behind. He took big, swaggering steps towards the stairs. The restaurant owner just stood in place. These two were both big shots that he couldn’t afford to offend.

Credence was standing in front of a window. He had a frown on his face as he lit a cigarette and huffed it. His handsome and charming face was slightly obscured by the smoke, covering most of his facial features.
Melanie walked in with her high heels on. She was wearing a grey V-neck suit. As she walked towards him, she leaned over slightly. Resting against his wide and warm chest, she took the cigarette from his mouth. She casually threw it into the ashtray and cupped a glass of red wine to his lips. “Credence, is smoking all you ever do? Come on, drink with me.”
“I remember back then, every time we finished a mission, everyone in the team would get drunk, except for us. Since then, I’ve been waiting for a chance to see who’s the better drinker. I’m not too confident I can beat you though.”
“Because I would get drunk even if the wine didn’t have any alcohol in it! I’d just fall into your arms. My heart is already drunk, and I haven’t started drinking yet.”
Credence didn’t push Melanie away. The cold hidden in the depths of his eyes were about to turn frozen solid.
He raised his fingers and took the red wine from her hand. Raising his head, he took a small sip. With a faint smile, he asked “How drunk is your heart?”
Credence was acting cold but also sexy. Melanie was staring at him when he tightly grabbed her arm and pulled her into his embrace.
“Credence, you’re so enthusiastic. Aren’t you afraid that I won’t let you go tonight?”
Melanie’s charming smile was like a flower. She tiptoed and kissed his soft lips.
Credence quickly tilted his head to avoid her kiss. His slender arm went up along her svelte waist.
Suddenly, Credence fished out a small fiber wire receiver from Melanie’s bra. He pried it open his fingers and showed it to her. He was very disappointed. “I didn’t think you’d still be the same. Using these disgusting methods.”
He threw the receiver into the trash can.
Melanie’s secret was discovered, but she didn’t feel guilty. She looked at Credence’s handsome face. “Credence, you know me. Where I’m from, if I don’t wear that, it’s as good as going out without any underwear on. It feels weird. Are you mad?”
“You know, I am wearing an underwear today.”
Melanie wrapped her arms around his neck. She narrowed her eyes slightly and exclaimed, “Credence, would you like to see what color of underwear I’m wearing today?”
Credence was unfazed from her flirting. He removed his arms from Melanie and walked away.
Back in the army, he heard those dirty words multiple times, he wasn’t surprised by it anymore.
There was a candlestick in the center of the hall, along with several delicious foods. There was also a large cake with a sculpture of a man and a woman made from cream. They were wearing a pair of green military uniforms in a dancing position.
Credence picked up a lighter from the table and lit the candles. After that, he placed it down with a snap.
Shortly after, some soothing music started playing, accompanying the swaying candlelight. The atmosphere was very romantic.
Credence’s romantic nature was hidden away in the deepest part of his heart, he would never show it to anyone easily.
However, if he was willing to show how romantic he was, he’d easily find his way into the deepest parts of any woman’s heart.
Melanie was completely immersed in the warm atmosphere that Credence created. She leisurely walked over and sat down on the seat closest to her. She stared at how charming he looked as he poured her wine. Her eyes burned with desire. “Credence, you’ve always been so distant with women. I didn’t expect you to bend over so much for such a meek woman. I don’t mind that you’re doing all of this for Dorothy.”
“But I’d rather be your lawfully wedded wife. That way, the two of us can have lots of fun every night.”
“Huh, come to think of it… ever since I first met you, you’ve been the only thing in my mind every night. What about me, Credence? Have you ever looked at your woman and imagine her with my body?”
Credence raised his head and gulped down his wine. After hearing Melanie’s question, he stared at her and pondered about it. He nodded his head and said, “Yes.”
There were a lot of men in the army, and almost zero women. So when this cool and coquettishly beautiful woman suddenly came to him, wanting to be in a relationship, of course, he was bound to have imagined all kinds of things.
It had nothing to do with true love. It was just an obsession he had, in wanting to conquer a woman.
However, those thoughts vanished when she almost killed him.
Melanie wasn’t expecting him to be so direct in admitting it, and her cool demeanor softened.
In the end, this man became an obstacle in her heart, ont that she could not escape from.
As she admired his good-looking eyebrows, she slowly opened her red lips. “Credence, after celebrating my birthday, will you stay with me tonight?”
He stared at her beautiful face. “Do you really want me to stay?”
She said, “Of course.”
Melanie stood up. The hem of her skirt moved slightly as she walked over to him. She jumped into his arms and flashed a charming smile. “Since it’s my special day, I want a kiss from you, are you going to give me one?”

Jeremy stepped into the corridor on the second floor and immediately looked around. Through an unlatched glass door, he spots a woman that seems acquainted with Credence’s chest. Her blood-red lips were moving ever so close to his chin. After that, she stopped and sneered.
Wilson, who was behind Jeremy, reacted. He whipped out his mobile phone, silenced it, and secretly snapped photos of the scene in front of him. Then, he silently typed out a message and showed it to Jeremy.
[Boss, do you want to send this photo of Credence’s to Miss Germaine?]
Jeremy turned around and gave him a look of confusion.
Wilson shrank back in fear, he typed a few more lines of words and showed it to Jeremy.
[Boss, even though Miss Germaine has blocked all contact with you, if she finds out that Credence is cheating, she’ll definitely step in and help Dorothy. This is just my personal opinion, if you tell Germaine, she will definitely bring Dorothy over to catch him in the act. This way, Germaine will have a better impression of you again!]
Although Jeremy rarely considered Wilson’s ideas, he was in a tough spot when it came to him and Germaine. He found it very difficult to deal with her. Hence, this might work.
Jeremy took the phone from Wilson’s hand with a gloomy look on his face. He walked to the smoking and dialed that familiar number.
Germaine answered the unknown number very quickly. She even treated him like a guest who wanted to book a room. Her voice was very gentle. She changed it so much that he felt uncomfortable listening to it.
She was a fine young lady from the Sherman family, why did she suddenly want to start a hotel in Lenolie City and work as a manager? Wasn’t she just looking for trouble?
Germaine would have to do everything. She would be busy from day till night. Even after working for an entire year, she wouldn’t have made nearly enough money than the amount he could casually throw at her.
However, ever since he accidentally hurt her, she wouldn’t accept any amount of money that he offered her.
He had hurt her, he made her miserable and made her feel immense pain. But his money didn’t hurt her, did it?
He really didn’t know what was on her mind.
Ever since she starting spending time with Dorothy, she’s changed into a different person. She became as silly as Dorothy was, she was like a fool.
“Germaine, it’s me! Wait, don’t hang up. I was having a business meeting in a restaurant, but something unexpected happened. I actually caught Credence having an affair with another woman.”
“Dorothy is my cousin. It’s reasonable for me to show her some kindness every once in a while.”
“You want evidence? OK, unblock me on Whatsapp, and I’ll send it to you.”
After sending the evidence, Jeremy let out a sigh of relief and began laughed maniacally, “Credence, thank you for cuckolding Dorothy.”
Wilson nodded happily and narrowed his eyes. “That’s great Boss. So far, it’s been four hundred and eighty-seven hours and seventy-seven seconds since you last saw Germaine. The time has finally come, she’s finally going to be in front of you.”
Jeremy snorted and ignored Wilson’s. He walked as fast as the wind, jumped down from the second floor in a couple of steps, and reached the restaurant’s front door. He smoked a cigarette as he waited for Germaine to arrive.
