Jonathan rushed to the hospital at 3 o’clock in the morning.
At that moment, Credence had already completed his emergency operation and was pushed into a VIP luxury ward by Marvin and Benjamin.
Because of the anesthetic, Credence was still unconscious. There was a transparent oxygen pipe stuck to his nostrils. His face was pale and devoid of any signs of life, and he looked no better off than a corpse.
Jonathan ran in with big strides. He reached out his hand to Credence’s chest so that he could touch it. He noticed that Credence’s heartbeat had slowed down, and it was beating very slowly. He shouted, “Marv, what’s wrong with Credence? He just got out of the operating room not long ago and his body was slowly recovering. What happened this time? D*mn it. Does he want to die?”
Marvin pounded the bedside table hard. He looked at the silent man lying on the bed, and a heavy feeling rose from the heart. “I don’t know whether Credence still wants his life or not, but if Dorothy’s child is gone, that can really kill him.”
On the way here, Jonathan had already heard from the phone that something had happened to Dorothy. At that time, he could not help but frown. He turned towards Benjamin, who was waiting beside Credence with a worried face, and asked anxiously, “How is Dorothy?”

“I don’t believe it! If you are so good at it, then show me what you’ve got!”
Benjamin noticed that they were getting further and further away from the topic, and he was afraid that he would be dragged into it. He quietly took a few steps back and went to the door of the room. He stared at them and held his breath. He observed them in silence.
In his heart, he truly sympathized with Mrs. Scott. He stood by her side. Some pains could never be made up for no matter how one tried.
Only Mrs. Scott would love Mr. Scott so badly that she would forgive him time and time again. Only she could let go of her tortured past and choose to start a new life with Mr. Scott.
Unfortunately, so many unhappy things had happened just moments after Mr. Scott and Mrs. Scott had gotten back together. Life was truly unpredictable.
On the other side, when Jonathan saw Marvin’s face darkening because of his teasing, he quickly changed the topic and said, “Marv, all of this happened because of that Melanie. I just don’t understand why you and Credence are so afraid of a woman like her? No matter how skillful she is, she’s just a woman!”
“You really have to admit that you’re stupid,” Marvin said coldly. “Melanie’s Jenciga’s top killer, and a hundred weaklings like yourself isn’t even worth her time.”

Jonathan snorted lazily. “Marv, Credence has you and me, and even Juelz on his side. If we were to gang up on her, she wouldn’t be able to hold out against us!”
“What the f*ck would you know!”
Marvin frowned. He wanted to kick this naïve and stupid guy out of the ward. “In the past, when Credence and I offended many drug lords over our years of busting their deals. Jonathan patted his chest and shouted in shock. “F*ck, is Melanie really that scary? D*mn, I almost got a heart attack! Why is a woman being so cruel and vicious? No wonder Credence isn’t interested in her!”
After shouting, Jonathan looked around and suddenly let out a roar that could be heard by mountains and rivers. “F*ck, if we are all guarding Credence here. Then, who is looking after Dorothy?”
“Juelz.”
“Mr. Sherman.”
Marvin and Benjamin replied at the same exact moment.
At this moment, Credence’s cold fingers twitched slightly. He tried to suppress the intense pain and made a hoarse sound from his throat incoherently.
All three men immediately perked up and strode towards the side of the bed, especially Benjamin. Benjamin shouted in an agitated way, “Mr. Scott, you, you are awake?”
Credence’s exhausted eyes slowly opened. His face looked even more haggard under the harsh white light.
After opening his eyes, he motioned for Marvin to help him pull out the tubes in his mouth, and the first thing he said was, “Send me over to her, I want to look after her.”
“You’ve just undergone an operation. The doctor said that you can’t move for the time being.”
Marvin lowered his head and comforted Credence in a hoarse voice. “Credence, this time, the blood vessels in your brain almost burst. You are too weak, you can’t bear any stimulation anymore. Otherwise, I don’t need to tell you the consequences. You know what’s going to happen. Besides that, I’ll ask Benjamin to take care of Dorothy. With him and Juelz watching, nothing will happen. Seeing the insistence in his eyes, Marvin, Jonathan, and Benjamin could not bear to see him in pain. They nodded. “Okay, we’ll send you there.”
