Marvin had waited in the helicopter on the rooftop from 11 o’clock until 1 o’clock in the morning. However, Credence, Dorothy and Belle were not on the rooftop yet. On the contrary, Dorothy had fainted and was on the verge of a miscarriage. His face turned extremely cold and he immediately jumped off the helicopter to run down the stairs to the emergency room in a hurry.
The surgery in the emergency room was still going on.
Marvin looked over and saw Credence leaning against the white wall. His face was extremely cold, as if it was devoid of life.
Marvin punched the wall hard, his eyes shooting towards Credence. “Credence, what happened?”
The only reply he got was the cold air rising from the room.
Marvin was not angry. Judging from Credence’s haggard appearance, he probably wasn’t in the mood to talk. Marvin quickly turned to Benjamin and said, “You tell me what happened. I want to know all the details.”
Benjamin sighed, but it was mostly out of self-blame. “It’s my fault, it’s all my fault! At that time, I was holding Miss Belle in my arms. In order not to make Miss Belle too frightened, Mr. Scott placed some sleeping pills in her food to help her sleep. This medicine would not have any side effects at all.”
“When Mrs. Scott came out from the lounge, she must have seen Miss Belle sleeping soundly for no reason at all. Thus, she rushed towards me and wanted to take Miss Belle away. I subconsciously stepped back. Yet, no one expected Mrs. Scott to trip on a suitcase and fall to the ground. When she fell, her stomach hit the floor first.”
“Mrs. Scott is pregnant, and the impact on her abdomen led to a lot of blood loss, and there is a possibility of miscarriage.”
“F*ck! What a mess! What the f*cking f*ck!”
Marvin could not help but curse. He took a serious look at the emergency room where the door was still closed. He was deeply worried.
Dorothy and her baby had to be fine, because it was the only way to save Belle.
There was another extremely serious consequence that Marvin dared not think too deeply about.
If Dorothy really miscarried, it was likely that they wouldn’t be able to find a suitable bone marrow for Belle in the short term. If that were the case, Belle’s life would be in danger.
If anything really did happen to Belle, then it would really be impossible for Dorothy to forgive Credence. Their relationship would definitely come to a stalemate as it was a dead knot.
Marvin frowned deeply. Looking at the tired and dispirited man in front of him, and coughed softly as he poked Benjamin. Then, he lowered his voice and analyzed carefully. “Look, Dorothy must not want to see Credence when she wakes up. She’ll need someone to care for her since she’s so badly injured, but you, me and Jonathan are definitely not suitable for the job. Maybe you should get Germaine or Juelz to come accompany her.”
“Juelz won’t do.”
No one knew when Credence walked over. His crimson eyes twinkled as he stared at Marvin. He parted his bloodless lips and rejected Marvin’s suggestion.
“Credence, is this really the time to be bothered about all this?” Marvin couldn’t take it anymore and shouted at a jealous Credence. “Germaine’s just only been discharged herself, and she’s still recovering from Jeremy’s torment! Who knows who’s going to be caring for who if she were to come? I think Juelz is more suitable for the job.”
After that, he immediately took his phone out and contacted Juelz.
Juelz arrived as fast as he could. He arrived in the emergency room in less than half an hour, panting. He did not look at anyone except for Credence, then swung his fists right at him.
“Credence, you’ve f*cking hurt Dory over and over again. You are the one who should die! Go to hell, you should just f*cking die!” Juelz’s eyes were bloodshot and his fists were clenched so tightly that they cracked. “If she really loses the child, Dory won’t forgive you. She will never forgive you!”
“Shut the f*ck up!”
Credence, who had silently allowed Juelz’s punches to land on his body without ever fighting back, was finally provoked by his last sentence. He suddenly jumped up, and a thick look of anger flashed across his pale face. “If she won’t forgive me, it’ll be all because of you! You were the one who caused us to get divorced, causing us to miss out on six wonderful years together! Juelz, I’m going to kill you right now!”
He was like an enraged wild beast, boiling with anger and on the verge of losing his mind. There was a horrible blood-thirsty anger in his heart that was about to be released. He could not wait to kill this rival in love of his with his bare hands.
Marvin and Benjamin stood aside. They’d never seen Credence so out of control, and they couldn’t help being stunned.
Marvin quickly came back to his senses and jumped in front of Juelz. “Credence, calm down, don’t be hasty.”
If Credence were to get his hands on Juelz, he’d probably lose his life.
If something happened to Juelz, Credence probably wouldn’t be able to get Dorothy’s forgiveness for the rest of his life.
She looked weak and mild-tempered, but the obstinance and ruthlessness in her bones were comparable to Credence.
After her divorce, she took Belle, who was still in her womb then, and left for Monticello. It had been six years since she left. However, she had never made a single complaint.
With a deep sigh, Marvin tried to persuade Credence. “Credence, think about it. If you were to harm Juelz, Dorothy will never forgive you.”
Credence was held down by Marvin, and his leg stiffened in mid-air as he listened to Marvin’s words.
With that, he slowly calmed down.
“Mr. Scott, let me help you over there for a short break.”
Benjamin felt bad at Credence’s situation, and he moved him over to the bench.
Credence had just sat down when he collapsed to the floor with a loud crash, right in front of Benjamin, Marvin and Juelz’s eyes.
“Credence!”
Marvin’s face darkened. He knew that Credence had finally broken down.
He took a few steps to Credence’s side, and he quickly turned him over. When he saw the blood coming from Credence’s mouth, he immediately picked him up and ran towards an empty emergency room.
As he ran, he shouted loudly, “Doctor, doctor, quick save him!”
Seeing that things were not going well, Benjamin hurriedly explained to Juelz, “Mr. Sherman, we’ll leave Mrs. Scott to you first. I will go and check on Mr. Scott.”
What else could Juelz do when he was faced with such a chaotic scene?
He sat down on the bench outside the emergency room and wiped his face with his hand. He stared at the flashing lights outside the emergency room, his heart sinking.
