The sound of the wind breezing filled the shabby room which was filled with the scent of blood. Among everyone there, only Belle, who was lying near the door, could raise her head to look outside.
After that, for her, it felt like she saw her hero suddenly appearing out of nowhere.
It was her daddy!
Her daddy, who was just a little more handsome than Daddy Juelz, was here to save her.
Her big blue eyes sparkled with joy, and she smiled. She clenched her fists and waved them around as she shouted, “Daddy, these bad guys bullied me and even hit me! They hit Daddy Juelz as well. Get revenge for me and Daddy Juelz and beat them up till they cry.”
Credence broke through the door, followed by several policemen. He heard Belle’s cries, and when he saw the bloodstains on her face, he burned with rage. He kicked out at the men.
The first two who fell prey to his attack were two shorter men. They flew up in the air and landed heavily, letting out pained cries.
“Ah!”
The other policemen who’d rushed in had already locked in on their own targets. Without a care for strategy and tactics, they quickly attacked these gang members from Eastland.
Amidst the battle, Juelz was kicked to the corner by someone. He curled up in a corner, unnoticed. At least he could finally get some peace.
He’d just gone home to take a shower before rushing back to the hospital to accompany Germaine with Dorothy.
Along the way, he suddenly thought of Belle. He hadn’t seen her for a long time, and her hospital wasn’t too far from Germaine’s.
Therefore, at an intersection, Juelz took a turn and headed towards the hospital where Belle was receiving treatment.
Just as he stopped the car, he saw a few men in black carrying a struggling Belle into a black car.
It happened all too suddenly, and Juelz did not have time to inform anyone. He followed them, finally arriving at a residential area that was supposed to be demolished.
When he saw those people bringing Belle into one of the house, he quickly called Credence. He hadn’t even managed to finish his conversation when someone noticed him and he was pulled into battle.
He was only one against many, after all, and he ended up licking his wounds in a lonely corner.
Now that Credence was here, there was nothing left for him to do.
But, f*ck, his back hurt!
“Good job, Uncles! Beat them all up! If they die, put it on my Daddy’s tab!”
Belle wasn’t hurt. She scrambled to her feet and ran over to Credence, clinging to his thigh. She blinked at him, looking slightly foolish. “Daddy, how’d you find me and Daddy Juelz so quickly? You were too cool.”
Credence bent down in silence and picked her up effortlessly, letting her lean on his shoulder. His eyes were gentle as he said, “Do you want to take a nap? When you’re awake, I promise you that you’ll see Mommy.”
“Alright.”
Belle was exhausted. She nodded obediently and mumbled, “Daddy, Daddy Juelz is injured, and he’s lost a lot of blood. Don’t forget to bring Daddy Juelz back with you.”
Suddenly, the sound of a bomb exploding could be heard from the outside.
Marvin’s cold voice followed soon, “Credence, are you inside?”
Belle, half asleep, trembled at the sound of the explosion. She squinted and asked dazedly, “Daddy, is it an earthquake?”
“No, it’s not an earthquake.”
Credence pressed her against his chest, then turned and said coldly, “Marvin, I’m here. Good timing, I think there’s something up with these people. They probably snuck in here from Jenciga.”
The man in the jacket was engaged in battle with three or four policemen. He’d been slashed in the back and the calf. At the sight of his comrades falling to the ground, not knowing whether they were alive or dead, he was so panicked that his eyes were almost popping out of their sockets.
D*mn, he thought that listening to his boss’ arrangements to help Rosalie kidnap Credence’s daughter was a simple matter that could be easily done.
He thought that after he did that, he could use this sickly girl to get at least a billion dollars from Credence. Who would’ve known that Juelz, the useless piece of trash, would ruin their whole plan?
At this moment, when he heard Credence’s words and a familiar opponent’s voice, he knew that he’d probably end up like his comrades if he were to continue fighting with them. Viciousness shot out from his eyes, and he faked a move to escape from the policemen. He jumped out of the window…
“Credence Scott, I’ll be back, and I’ll definitely pay you back for the two wounds I’ve suffered today. And don’t you worry, my boss will pay you back tenfold for the grudges between you two, old and new.”
When Credence heard that, his eyes immediately darkened.
From the man’s words, it seemed that his boss and Rosalie’s backer were one and the same, and this man had an ongoing rivalry with him…
Who on earth could he be?
Could it be Jeremy?
As soon as Credence thought of this, he immediately denied it.
With Jeremy’s strange and sinister methods, it was impossible for him to use this flawed plan.
It was very likely that this kidnapping was something that Rosalie and that man discussed together.
Because of how rushed everything was, Juelz had tried his best to stall more time for them to come over and save Belle.
At the same time, Marvin quickly ran up to them. When he looked at the men lying on the ground, a trace of viciousness flashed in his eyes. “Credence, you’re right. These f*ckers are from Jenciga. In fact, they came here to smuggle in weapons and drugs. According to what I heard, the total amount is several billion dollars.”
He scoffed. “I wouldn’t have expected you to get rid of these scumbags in here. Well, it’s more than they deserve, I suppose!”
“There are still some other things that I have to deal with. Clean this place up.”
Credence ignored Marvin’s words and held Belle tightly. He turned to head out, then turned back when he was at the door. He nodded at Juelz, who lay on the floor. “Thanks for this.”
Even though Juelz was in excruciating pain, he wouldn’t lose to Credence in terms of their auras. He forced out a self-thought handsome smile and said, “You’re welcome.”
