Chapter 316 You’ve Got Yourself A Good Dog

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

Benjamin drove the Maybach so fast that it seemed to be flying like a helicopter. A journey that usually took 20 minutes of driving was shortened by half.
In less than ten minutes, Credence was already standing at the gates of the hospital. He stared at the front door that was tightly closed. His eyes were deep and filled with anxiousness.
Without a second thought, he took the metal rod from Benjamin’s hands and swung it at the door repeatedly.
It clanged loudly.
Credence put so much strength into it that blood started to seep out of his surgery wound.
“Mr. Scott, please don’t use too much strength.”
Benjamin felt conflicted at the sight of Credence’s blood. He felt worried for Credence, but at the same time, he felt happy that Credence was finally treating Dorothy with some heart.
Credence turned around to look at Benjamin. He ignored the pain coming from his wounds and said calmly, “I’m fine. She’s more important that I am.”
It had to be said that the hospital’s gates were extremely sturdy. It only fell to the ground with a loud crash after Credence had attacked it seven or eight times in a row.
Out of the corner of his eye, Credence caught a glimpse of Dorothy’s blue dress turning the corner to the left. His gaze sharpened as he sprinted towards that direction.
Benjamin followed closely from behind. He continued to nag, “Mr. Scott, please run slower. You are starting to bleed again.”
The next second, a man’s figure blew past Benjamin with a gust of wind.
The inexplicable cool wind almost knocked Benjamin down.
Who the f*ck was that? Hadn’t they seen that there were people here?
Benjamin held his anger back and glared at the man following Credence. When he finally caught sight of the man’s side profile, he snorted coldly. “Mr. Sherman, why are you following Mr. Scott?”
In Jeremy’s eyes, a small character like Benjamin was not worth his attention at all. He was only less than half a meter away from Credence, and his face was frosty. He plunged a sharp blade right at Credence’s neck.
Credence had long since noticed the murderous aura coming from behind him. He narrowed his eyes, sucked in a breath, and turned around abruptly. He grabbed Jeremy by the arm and kicked in the direction of Jeremy’s abdomen. The blade was less than a centimeter away from Credence’s neck.
If Jeremy insisted on stabbing him, Credence’s kick would definitely give him something to talk about.
Both of them would be hurt, and this wasn’t what Jeremy wanted.
He took two steps back, throwing the dagger into the air and catching it a few times. He chuckled, and it was filled with malice. “Mr. Scott, you have good reflexes even though you’re half dead.”
“Mr. Sherman, you’re the one who caused Mr. Scott to end up like this! Doesn’t your conscience hurt after causing so many people harm?”
“How the f*ck could he still attempt to assault an injured person?” Benjamin thought to himself.
After that, he hurried over to Credence and quickly inspected him. When he saw that Credence wasn’t injured aside from the blood flowing from his head, he relaxed. Then, he stuck by Credence’s side, not giving Jeremy the chance to attack again.
“Mr. Scott, I think I saw Mrs. Scott just now. She ran to the left… Ah!”
Before Benjamin could finish his words, he suddenly cried out in pain. He bent over and pressed his hands behind his waist.
A dagger was plunged almost halfway into him, and it had come from nowhere. It moved around with Benjamin’s movements.
Credence looked down and saw the dagger. He turned and rushed up to Jeremy, his eyes dark. “Mr. Sherman, I’m sure you know that Germaine is in Rosalie’s hands. I dragged myself over here to save your woman for the sake of my wife, yet you stabbed my assistant in the back?!”
Someone coughed. “Mr. Scott, my boss had nothing to do with that.”
Wilson came out from one side, laughing dryly. “Sorry, my hand slipped and my dagger flew right into your assistant’s waist.”
Compared with Wilson’s bulk, Benjamin’s slim stature made them look like Beauty and the Beast.
After that, Wilson crept behind Benjamin and pulled the dagger out of Benjamin’s body. He then stuffed the dagger into Benjamin’s hands and said, “Go ahead and stab me wherever you want. Just don’t get me killed.”
Benjamin was astounded and in great pain. Where the f*ck had this idiot come from?
Wilson’s action of pulling the dagger out of Benjamin caused the blood to gush out. It stained his shirt red.
At the sight of the flowing blood, Benjamin crouched down, gritting his teeth. He kept his hands pressed to his wound and looked up at Credence, concealing his pain. “Mr. Scott, I’m fine. I’ll go see a doctor to get this fixed up myself. Please go and look for Mrs. Scott.”
Credence frowned. He didn’t want to go after Wilson for now, but he added it to Jeremy’s tab. He turned to shoot a look at Jeremy, who liked slightly pleased, and sneered, “Mr. Sherman, you’ve got yourself a good dog that’ll bite anybody it meets.”
Jeremy let out a sinister chuckle and said, “Mr. Scott, the same goes to you.”
Credence wasn’t much better than him in this aspect.
While Jeremy was still lost in his thoughts, Credence quickly ran forward. He seemed to vaguely hear Dorothy letting out a muffled yell of pain. He sped up.
At the end of the corridor, there was a large window, and a sink.
Dorothy’s cries were coming from the direction of the sink.
Credence’s face immediately darkened.
He guessed that something had happened to either Dorothy or Germaine.
….
Inside the washroom.
Rosalie kept her dagger at Germaine’s neck the whole time. She’d planned on leaving the hospital with Germaine in tow, but she only realised that the doors were locked the moment she reached the first floor.
She did not have the strength to bash the door at all.
Therefore, she dragged a half-dead Germaine towards the washroom on the left.
She remembered that there was a large French window there. As long as she could call her men and get them to blast the large window, she could escape smoothly.
After all, there were plenty of trees around the window. It wouldn’t be hard for a few men from Jenciga to hide there.
Suddenly, a huge force crashed into her from behind, and Rosalie flew towards the counter.
At the pain, she tightened her grip on Germaine’s neck. She turned to look at Dorothy with hatred.
“Dorothy, if you don’t want Germaine to die, then you’d better listen to me.”
