Chapter 294 Baby, I Only Want You To Be Happy

Dawn arrived, and a glimmer of light rose from the horizon. The scenery around the beach got clearer and brighter with the rise of the sun.
However, Dorothy did not have time to enjoy such a beautiful scene at all. All of her attention was focused on the unconscious Credence as she trembled.
He had used his life to protect her from the waves. She didn’t want him to die just like this!
Dorothy’s hand was clenched around the small object she’d taken from Credence’s sleeve cuff. It was actually a long distance communication device, and she tremblingly stuffed it into her ear. When she heard Marvin’s steady questioning, she suddenly lost control of her emotions and cried, “Mr. Jules, please hurry! Credence is going to die!”
Marvin told her to calm down and asked her to provide their location. However, all Dorothy could see around her was the ocean and fog. There was no way she could tell where they were.
In the end, Marvin gave up. He told her to stay put and do everything she could to bring up Credence’s body temperature.
For if his body temperature continued to decrease, Credence would freeze to death rather than bleed to death.
“Alright, I will do as you say! It doesn’t seem like Credence is going to hold on much longer. Mr. Jules, please, hurry up.”
After that, she took a few deep breaths and used up all her strength to pull Credence forwards.
At the very least, she had to push him from the wet beach to the dry surface of the rocks.
The result of exerting too much force was that Dorothy accidentally dropped the tracker that Hugo had stuck onto her hair. However, she was completely unaware.

Rosalie sat elegantly on the sofa as she listened to the noises coming from the tracker.
She’d been enjoying Dorothy’s terrified shrieks, and she’d especially enjoyed hearing Dorothy mention that Credence was dying. She couldn’t help beaming with delight, and she was so agitated that she was trembling.
She scoffed.
This was the ending that Dorothy and Credence deserved!
There was suddenly a loud rustling.
It was followed by the shrill beep, then the tracker fell completely silent.
Rosalie frowned. With Dorothy’ personality, it would be hard for her to notice the tracker. It was more likely that she’d accidentally dropped it.
Rosalie angrily smashed her coffee cup on the marble floor and scoffed cruelly. “Dorothy, Credence, consider this your lucky day! You won’t be so lucky next time.”
She’d planned on sending hitmen over there to murder them the moment she knew where they were, but she hadn’t expected the tracker to be dropped at such a key moment.
She was so angry!
Fortunately, she still had a lot of tricks up her sleeve.
At the thought of this, Rosalie grinned as she picked up the phone on the bedside table gracefully. She made a phone call.
“It’s me! It’s time to put step three of the plan into motion.”

Dorothy dragged Credence from the cold and wet beach all the way to the black and gray rocks which were dozens of meters away from the water. After that, she dared not move him any longer.
It was because despite the fact that Credence was unconscious, blood still kept gushing out of his pursed lips.
To prevent the sunlight from shining directly onto Credence, she took off her torn shirt and opened it up to cover him. Dorothy tried her best to provide some sort of shelter for him.
The only thing Dorothy had on was a black camisole, and her skin felt like it was being pierced by the sunlight.
She thought about Marvin mentioning that she had to keep Credence warm. She gritted her teeth and moved over to Credence’s head. She gripped his shoulders and tried her best to hold him up so that she could wrap her arms around him to warm him up.
Apart from using such a primitive method to warm him up, she could not think of any other way.
If she let the sun shine on him directly, he’d probably be dehydrated in a jiffy.
She waited for a long, long time, and watched as Credence’s watch moved from 6. 30a. m. to 9. 30a. m. However, Marvin still had yet to arrive, and Dorothy couldn’t stop her tears from flowing. It landed on Credence’s lips.
“Credence, hold on. If you hold on for a little longer, Mr. Jules will definitely come to save us.”
However, the longer she waited, the more anxious she became, and the more hopeless she felt.
In the end, she couldn’t resist bursting into tears. “Credence, you still owe me so many years of love! I won’t allow you to die without paying off your debt, you hear me? Did you hear me?”
“If you die, where else am I going to find someone like you, who’s been deeply rooted in my heart since I was sixteen?”
Her tears, which tasted different from the salty seawater, slipped into Credence’s mouth through a slit in between his lips. The bitter taste made him frown.
However, his thin eyelids felt like they weighed tons.
Credence put in all his effort into opening his eyes. When he saw Dorothy sobbing because of his injuries, he felt a trace of sweetness, but it was overwhelmed by his heartache.
It was only now that he realised that because he loved her, he’d do anything to see her smile and stop her from crying.
Therefore, a faint yet tender smile formed on his lips. “Dorothy, don’t be sad for me, don’t cry! I’m sorry for all the pain and heartache I caused you during our marriage, and if I could turn back time, I’d go back and kill myself for doing that to you. Now, I’m willing to sacrifice everything I own in exchange for your safety and happiness, and that includes my own life!”
“Stop it, Credence, stop it right this instant.”
Dorothy looked at him as she spoke. At the same time, blood gushed out of his mouth. She was so anxious that her eyes were stinging. “I don’t want your life. I just want you to be alive and well!”
“Didn’t we agree to have another baby so we could use the baby’s umbilical cord blood to save Belle?”
“If you die, what am I going to do? What is Belle going to do?”
“Babe, I want to continue living too…”
Credence’s eyelashes fluttered and he closed his eyes again. As his strength waned, his breath became almost imperceptible.
He was too tired.
Noticing that Credence’s breath was slowly disappearing, Dorothy shuddered and placed a trembling hand under his nose. When she could no longer feel his breath, she let out a pained cry.
“Ah!”
Dorothy used all of her strength to hold Credence’s cooling body. She sobbed out his name, her tears and sweat mixing together and blurring her vision.
She was completely unharmed under his protection.
What about him?
He’d used his flesh and bone to fight against the current and rocks, and he’d ended up lying in her arms, a step away from dying.
Dorothy had never hated herself this much before.
She hated herself for placing too much faith in Juelz, which had led to Credence’s death.
Time flew by in the blink of an eye.
From Dorothy’s point of view, it was like a century had passed.
She sensed something and abruptly raised her head. She saw a few figures heading towards her.
As she stared at the figures, her tears flowed and she suddenly smiled.
“Credence, open your eyes and take a look. We are saved, you are saved!”
When she saw who it was, Dorothy’s eyes widened in shock.
She’d expected Marvin to be the first to arrive, but it was someone that was completely out of her expectation…
