The moment he pushed the door open, Jonathan felt chills down his spine, and his breathing turned heavy.
Through the glass window, he could see Belle’s pale face, and her tiny body was injected with multiple infusion tubes. She laid motionlessly on the operating table, as she called out weakly with her eyes closed, “Mommy, my Mommy is missing. Please, help me find my Mommy!”
The doctors, donned sterile attire, were assessing Belle’s heartbeat, blood pressure, and other conditions. They wore serious expressions on their faces as they occasionally whispered to each other, nodding and shaking their heads from time to time.
Jonathan could tell that Belle’s illness must have worsened from the grim expressions on the doctors’ faces.
When a male attending doctor came out, Jonathan immediately grabbed his arm and asked bluntly, “Tell me, why is that little girl inside in need of emergency treatment? Also, what happened to her mother, Dorothy?”
The doctor frowned as he turned to look at Jonathan. He pulled back his arm and asked, “Why are you asking so many questions? Who are you?”
“Who am I? You are f*cking asking me who I am?”
Jonathan raised an eyebrow as he roared angrily, “I am Credence Scott’s mate, the uncle of the little girl inside there. Credence sent me here to look after that little girl and her mother.
So, are you going to tell me or not? If you’re not going to, I will go to the dean of the hospital! I don’t believe that there isn’t a single person in this big hospital who has no idea who I am!”
The doctor was stunned for a moment. After looking at Jonathan’s indignant face, it did not seem like he was lying. He sighed and answered quickly, “Well, sir! It’s like this, when our nurses made their rounds today, they found out that something was wrong with Belle. She insisted on asking the nurses to help her find her mother, and she kept saying that her mother had gone missing.
The dean has told us to take extra care of Belle. So the nurse called me immediately and informed me of her anxiety, for it might worsen her condition.
I immediately asked the nurses to get people to look for Dorothy everywhere. By the time I got here, Belle had already fainted, and the rate of her heartbeat was lower than that of a normal child. I immediately arranged for them to perform first aid on her… Sir, this is everything that happened.”
After listening to him, Jonathan broke out in a cold sweat. “F*ck, why did Dorothy suddenly disappear at such a critical moment?”
Seeing as how much she valued Belle, it would be impossible for her to suddenly disappear for no reason.
This meant that she had been kidnapped!
There was no other reason for a mother to actively leave her sick child for more than four hours.
Jonathan trembled at the thought of being badly beaten up by Credence. He quickly turned around and walked out of the ICU.
He then quickly took out his phone to find Dorothy’s photos. He told the veterans with a cold voice, “Please, my brothers, go and find this woman quickly. The faster, the better!”
“Okay, we will do that right away.”
They were all well-trained soldiers. Even without Jonathan’s orders, they had already come up with the most effective tracking plan. The army divided themselves up and quickly disappeared from Jonathan’s sight.

When he noticed that Jonathan was the one calling, he frowned at first, then, he immediately stood up and walked out of the conference room.
All the shareholders were shocked to see him leave without hesitation; all except for Rosalie and Jeremy.

Credence walked into the empty smoking area and listened to Jonathan stammer as he spoke. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his gaze was sharper than a sword. “What did you say? Dorothy had been kidnapped?”
Nothing might’ve looked out of place in the hospital, but he had secretly arranged for several bodyguards to protect Dorothy and Belle day and night.
Yet, someone was able to quietly take Dorothy away. It was obvious that the enemy’s methods were at a completely different level than the bodyguards that he had sent.
He narrowed his eyes coldly and asked, “Jonathan, how did she go missing? You’d better f*cking tell me clearly.”
At the other end of the phone, Jonathan repeated the male doctor’s words and also told him about how the soldiers had come back empty-handed.
However, Jonathan did not mention anything about Belle’s worsening situation.
Dorothy’s disappearance was enough to make Credence depressed and worried. He did not want to add on to his problems.
“Alright, I understand.”
After he hung up the phone, Credence gave Dorothy a call, hoping for a miracle.
Undoubtedly, he could not get through to her; it was turned off.
Luck and miracles did not exist.
