At the same time, in the lounge on the top floor of Mandalay Town, Wilson handed two investigation reports to the man who was coldly smoking by the windows.
“Boss, our men followed Credence and his men to Talco City’s government hospital and retreated after that. It seems that he is going to admit his daughter there to treat her illness. However, there’s a question. His daughter resembles you in some way. Is she really not your illegitimate daughter?”
“You talk too much. Are you thinking of getting rid of your tongue?”
He shot him a cold and sharp glare.
Wilson immediately bowed and admitted his mistake. “Boss, I was wrong. I’ll shut up!”
“Time to get serious.” Jeremy puffed out a mouthful of smoke. His gaze was downcast, and he thought that his assistant really talked too much. Perhaps, he should find a suitable time to find a new one?
“Credence and his men may have gone to the government hospital in Talco City, but we could not find out which ward Belle is residing in. We didn’t even see Dorothy. Hence, I think that they might have changed their destination and fooled us.”
Wilson continued, “Also, halfway there, we met another group of people who were following Credence. We almost fought with them too… Boss, guess what happened? Those bunch of thugs were sent by Rosalie. We followed them in silence to find her whereabouts. Do you know where she is hiding? Oh my, you definitely won’t be able to guess it.”
“Where?”
Jeremy threw away the cigarette butt in his hand and stared at Wilson coldly. His gaze looked like a venomous snake.
“She’s in this hospital. In the bed of the lounge in the director’s office to be exact.” Wilson burst into laughter. “That vicious woman wants to take the opportunity to hurt Belle and Miss Germaine. She really thinks too highly of herself.”
After laughing for less than two seconds, he suddenly stopped.
Because, when Jeremy looked at Wilson, there was a very faint smile on his face and there was a cold aura surrounding him. He turned around and walked out of the room.
Wilson shivered as he followed suit. He had a feeling that Rosalie was unlucky and unable to escape anymore.

Since Jeremy had thrown a huge sum of money to take over the fourth floor of the hospital, it became exclusively his. The dean’s office was moved to the third floor, which was also two wards away from Germaine’s.
At this moment, Rosalie had sent off the greedy and lusty director and was laying on the bed, wearing only a thin layer of laced ribbon dress and her eyes filled with charm. She received a phone call from the group of people she paid to follow Credence. “So you’re saying they have entered the general hospital and haven’t come out since? Alright, I understand. I will transfer the rest of the payments to your accounts immediately.”
Yvonne, who had a conflict with Dorothy, was still in Talco City. She had also worked in Jonathan’s hospital for several years. If she made good use of Yvonne’s connections, she would definitely be able to grasp Belle and Dorothy tightly in her hands again as well as force Credence to submit.
At the thought of this, Rosalie’s delicate face was flushed with excitement. She was finally able to relax after being tense and anxious for a few days. She got out of bed, took off her lace ribbon dress, and prepared to put on some lightweight and comfortable clothing.
Just as she bent down and put on her pants, she suddenly heard the sound of steady footsteps approaching. The door of the lounge was kicked open with a loud bang.
Rosalie’s pants had just reached her calves when the door was bust open and she quickly pulled it up. She had thought it was the cleaners, however, just when she was about to scold them, she noticed, from the corner of her eyes, that the man in front of her seemed familiar. She was so fearful that her legs trembled and she collapsed onto the ground the moment she looked up and saw clearly who he was.
She was so frightened that moment, her calves cramped and the blood drained from her face.
The man strode in, he sneered with his cold handsome face, “Rosalie, I haven’t seen you in a while. It has been some time since my hands were stained with blood too.”
“How… how did you know I’m here?”
Rosalie was so frightened that her pupils contracted. The only thought she had at that moment was that the man in front of her was like a lingering demon. What was even more horrifying was the long, pitch-black whip with needles attached to it in his hand.
Her body, every inch of it, was trembling uncontrollably. She could only inch back as she continued to tremble.
By the time she reached the corner of the wall, there was nowhere left to retreat. Despair filled her heart.
Who else could save her at this moment? Who?
The d*mned director had only taken off his pants and had half of his fun before he left to answer an urgent call. It seemed that Jeremy was the one who sent him away.
Jeremy walked up to the woman who was almost scared to death. His face was cruel and evil. “I don’t care what you did to Belle, but how dare you touch Germaine. You almost killed her too. Huh, Rosalie, since you did what you did, you should know what kind of price you have to pay.”
Hearing the word “price”, Rosalie’s whole body went stiff, as if she was nailed to the spot, immobile. She trembled as she numbly moved her lips. “It wasn’t me. I’ve never intended to hurt Germaine. Please let me go.”
Jeremy violently whipped Rosalie’s back. The silver needles left bloody marks, and blood splashed everywhere. Hearing her scream and her face twisting in pain, his smile became more and more excited and cruel. “Let you go? Why didn’t you let Germaine go when she begged?”
The man gave her another vicious whip and revealed a sinister and ghostly expression. “You idiot, did you think you could threaten Credence by kidnapping Belle and get him to separate with Dorothy?”
“Why can’t I?” Rosalie asked.
Rosalie raised her head to refute as she trembled in pain. “My intention was to kidnap Belle, who Dorothy saw as her everything. After getting her attention, I could use the mother and daughter as bait to capture Credence. When I kill them in front of him, he will definitely lose it.
After that, I can do the same as I did six years ago and get a top hypnotist to hypnotize Credence. Let him completely forget Dorothy and everything else. I will imprison him, make him stay by my side like a dog, and never betray me.”
“And you think you can pull it off on your own?”
Jeremy laughed sarcastically. “I can’t wait to see if Credence will really be your dog. But now, you’ll become a dying skinny dog under my whip.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he whipped Rosalie, who was rolling on the ground from the pain, without mercy. The aura surrounding him grew even colder.
“Ah, it hurts, please, don’t!”
“Please, Mr. Sherman, Mr. Sherman, be gentler, it hurts!”
Rosalie knelt on the ground and begged for mercy. Blood flowed from the corners of her lips as she screamed in despair.
At the same time, Germaine wanted to recover faster so that she could leave this place and Jeremy as soon as possible. Hence, she prepared to walk around to recuperate.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Wilson standing in the corridor not far away with his back facing her. He was guarding a closed office tightly. A strange feeling rose in her heart.
The only person who could make Wilson guard outside was Jeremy.
That meant that he was in the office at this moment. But what was he doing inside?
Germaine looked around. It was so quiet that she could vaguely hear a woman’s cries and gasps. Her heart began to beat violently. She thought for a while and quietly sneaked to the ward closest to the office. She then quietly pushed open the half-closed door, tiptoed in, and stuck her ears to the wall. She listened attentively to what was happening inside.
It didn’t take long for her to hear the sounds of slapping and the soft and delicate voice of a young woman begging for mercy.
“Ah, Mr. Sherman, it hurts. Please, be gentler, okay?”
“Mr. Sherman, it hurts so much, I’m begging you, don’t!”
In that instant, Germaine’s face turned deathly pale. A drop of tear slowly slid down her face.
She could tell what Jeremy and that woman were doing inside even if she was a fool.
At first, she thought that if she waited for him patiently, she would be able to wait until the day he loved her since he was not married nor had he said that he had a lover.
But now, it seemed like there was no reason for her to wait anymore.
He did not love her and he had found a woman. So why should she persist?
Germaine dazedly walked out of the door and out of the hospital. Her tears had covered her sight and she could not see the road below her feet. She could not see anything at all.
As her thoughts muddled, she saw a car seemingly belonging to Wilson. It was unlocked and the keys were on it. She got in the car, started the engine, and left with a bang!
She drove as fast as lightning, as if she was going insane!
