Wilson, who was standing in the corridor, felt something was off. When he looked out of the window, he saw his black car rush out like a runaway horse, and his expressions changed immediately.
He realized that the woman sitting in the driver’s seat was Germaine, and there was a sorrowful look on her face.
Several bodyguards ran over in a panic, and cold sweat filled their foreheads. “Mr. Wilson, this is bad. We just took a trip to the bathroom and Miss Germaine had disappeared. We looked for her everywhere but we could not find her at all.”
Wilson remembered that Jeremy was torturing Rosalie at the moment. That woman had to go and moan hard as if she was having s*x. He frowned and asked in a low voice, “How long have you been looking for Miss Germaine?”
“About half an hour or so.”
Half an hour was enough for Germaine to do a lot of things. Moreover, her ward was not too far from the director’s office. If the moans inside the room were any louder, she would’ve definitely heard it.
Wilson gulped, as he was a little lost.
It turned out that ten minutes ago, the sound of doors opening and closing, as well as the sounds of light footsteps were not his illusion, but something that really happened.
That meant that Germaine thought Jeremy was doing something indecent with a woman inside the room, thus she drove away angrily.
“Miss Germaine just drove out of the hospital. All of you, chase after her in different directions. Even if you can’t catch up with her, you must find out the specific location. Otherwise, I won’t be able to protect you guys in front of our boss.”
“Yes, yes, yes. We’ll do that right away. Thank you, Mr. Wilson.”
After a while, Jeremy came out. He had just vented the deep rage hidden in the bottom of his heart on Rosalie’s body. He was expressionless and did not notice Wilson’s uneasy look. He squinted his eyes fiercely and strode towards Germaine’s ward.
“Boss, hold up.”
Wilson hurried up and whispered with lack of confidence, “Half an hour ago, Miss Germaine left the hospital.”
The man stopped and looked back at Wilson coldly. As if he did not hear it clearly, he asked indifferently, “What did you say just now? Say that again.”
His voice was filled with darkness, evilness and horror.
Wilson tucked his neck in fear. He dared not repeat what he had said, but he had to. Then, he lowered his head and peeped at Jeremy from time to time with the corner of his eyes. He wanted to say something but stopped on second thought.
With that man’s horrible expressions, how could he explain it in such a short time?
He gave off a smile that was filled with both happiness and sadness. There was a hint of pain in his eyes, “It’s not all that bad if she has really left!”
After all, they had to walk different paths, and they were bound to leave each other sooner or later. Hence, it was wise for them to leave sooner.
“Send some people to escort her safely back to Talco City.”
“Sure, Boss.”
Wilson took a few steps back. As soon as he took out his cell phone to convey Jeremy’s order, he saw the man turn around. There was a layer of dark light in his eyes as if they came straight from hell. He said coldly, “I will personally escort her. You go deal with Rosalie.”
He meant to end her. Wilson had done a lot of clean-up work, thus he was really familiar with this.
He took out a sharp dagger from God-knows-where and held it in his palm. He quickly walked to the director’s office, pushed the door open, and walked inside.
To his surprise, apart from the strong smell of blood lingering in the room, Rosalie had completely disappeared. Only the windows were opened and it was stained with blood.
Wilson stuck his head out to check and confirmed she had really jumped out of the window. He said indignantly, “F*ck, this woman even dares to jump down from the third floor. She is really not afraid of death at all.”
He quickly ran down, entered the white car, and bit the bullet to report the news to Jeremy, who was sitting lazily in the back seat. The man nodded indifferently and said nothing.
After driving for a while, Jeremy lowered his head and opened his laptop. After dealing with some urgent company affairs, he suddenly asked Wilson, who was driving in the front seat, coldly, “How long will it take for the thing inside Dorothy to manifest completely?”
Wilson thought for a while and immediately replied, “It has almost taken full effect. However, when I observed Credence’s conditions, it seemed like it was not having the effect that we wanted. It’s likely that the relationship between him and Dorothy is not as deep as we thought. Boss, we can’t rush it. Unless they do that kind of thing every day, it’s useless to be anxious.”
“Dorothy needs the cord blood of a newborn to treat her daughter. How could they not have done those things yet?”
Jeremy smiled coldly, he seemed determined. “Our chance will come soon.”
“Boss, don’t worry. I have already made all the necessary preparations.”
“Good.”
After spitting out one cold word, Jeremy closed his eyes. He was deadly silent, not even the sound of breathing could be heard.
…
Sure enough, after Dorothy left the hospital, Credence took her and Belle to a very secretive hospital.
Halfway, after Marvin answered a phone call, he turned the car and parted ways with them.
After getting out of the car, Dorothy noticed that from the outside, this place looked like an ordinary residential building. There were shops, restaurants, and convenient shops too. People came and went, nothing was out of the ordinary.
However, after they entered and passed through an iron gate, the atmosphere immediately turned solemn and silent. From time to time, doctors in medical clothing walked about, and no one was curious about them, as if they were already used to it.
Dorothy could not hide her curiosity, but she didn’t show it. She asked the man beside her, who held Belle lovingly in his arms, softly, “What place is this?”
Credence explained patiently to her, “It is a hospital that only serves a very specific group of people. Without connections, you wouldn’t be able to get in even if you have the money.”
“Oh.”
Dorothy nodded, indicating that she understood.
There were plenty of institutions that provided such services for certain high-exclusive ranking officials in Horsburg.
For example, special supplies of food, as well as special medicines too.
It seemed that they had been notified earlier and had already arranged everything.
Belle was arranged to be placed in a comfortable and luxurious ICU, and many experts came to perform full-body examinations on her, not missing a spot.
After the inspection, the old leading expert’s face looked grim. He pointed out the problem to Dorothy and Credence bluntly. “Mr. Scott, your daughter has always been weak. After this kidnapping, her body has fallen to a critical condition. In other words, her condition could have still been in control for one or two years. But now, her condition is prone to turn for the worse at any moment, and it doesn’t look good.”
After listening to the expert’s words, Dorothy’s heart was dull and in pain. Her lips were pale and trembling as she asked him, “Doctor, then… what should I do now?”
Because she was drowning in immense pain, she did not notice the glances between the white-haired expert and Credence.
