Mia’s pov
Lorenzo tugged the dude who had been trembling in his seat in front of us and asked that he say his last words, right before he shot him at the side of his throat. At this point, everything had scattered completely and blood was splattered on the front of Lorenzo’s white undershirt. At that point, he had already killed over five people, and I could barely suck in a deep breath without trembling in fear while still curled in my seat and taking everything in all at once with wide eyes.
I had almost gotten shot at once by a dude who began to shoot back at me, but Lorenzo hurled me out of the chair and pinned me against his side as he emptied his gun in the person’s chest, grip tight around me.
“Get my other gun out from underneath my shirt, the left part.” He ordered urgently as he moved us sideways and shot at a dude that was about to reach for his gun which had fallen from his hand after Lorenzo had shot it. My entire body was trembling in fright and my head felt woozy from how frightened I’m currently feeling. I forced my hand to stop trembling as I began to do as told, which was to reach underneath Lorenzo’s shirt in order to retrieve his gun. I could barely dwell on the ridges of his muscles as I hastily tugged the gun out as soon as my hand settled on it, hand trembling as I handed it to a crazed looking Lorenzo who maneuvered me till I was positioned in front of him before he retrieved the gun from my trembling grip.
“Good girl.” He husked against my ear and then he continued right from where he had stopped. It’s definitely something more than sick of me to have felt a low, curling heat begin to bubble underneath my skin at once as those two words echoed over and over again in my head.
That was the last image that played out in the front of my mind before I woke up, gasping for breath as I hastily sat up and threw a frantic look around the entire part of the bedroom.
Once my heartbeat began to slow down, I let out a stuttered breath and tried to get my mind to stop wandering around.
The entire thing which happened last night had managed to follow me all the way to my dreams, and it was just as terrifying and horrifying.
I slowly got out of the bed, straight into the bedroom and then I splashed my face with water.
After the commotion ended last night, Lorenzo had a dark, satisfied grin on as he led me out of there. On the way back home, I continued to tremble in fear as each gruesome image replayed in my head. Lorenzo didn’t say a word to me when he returned home, not that I gave him a chance, seeing as I flew upstairs at once while praying he wouldn’t come after me.
What unnerved me the most was that last night seemed like a very normal thing for Lorenzo, which left me wondering about just how sane Lorenzo is, or if he’s even a little bit sane to begin with.
A sigh left my lips as I shrugged out of the nightdress I had slept in, and then I proceeded to take a very cold shower.

When I climbed down the stairs hours later because I couldn’t pretend to not hear the growls of my stomach, I was greeted with the presence of Lorenzo, sitting in one of the couches in the sitting room. He motioned me over at once and I forced a slow breath out of my clogged lungs as I trudged towards him, while wondering about what it is that he could want from me now.
“Go get some shoes on.” Was the first thing he said and I blinked at him in confusion.
“Why?” I demanded without thinking and when Lorenzo narrowed his eyes at me, I slapped my hand over my mouth in regret on recollecting his dislike for stupid questions like the one I had just asked moments ago.
“To go get you a phone.” Was his response, which came in a heartbeat later, to my utmost shock.
“A phone?” I whispered and Lorenzo scoffed before pinning me an exasperated look.
“Don’t push it, now go get some shoes on.”
I snapped my mouth close and hurried to go do as told, but his voice stopped me halfway up the stairs.
“And change out of that ugly ass skirt, into something short and sexy.”
As he drove us towards where I’d apparently be getting a new phone, he expressed how he wanted me to have something in which I’d be able to use to reach him, in order to avoid what happened yesterday from repeating itself– whereby I had nowhere to reach him on in order to ask him what he’d like me to wear.
When we got there, Lorenzo picked the latest model of an iPhone for me and I gasped in shock at the price tag, which Lorenzo didn’t pay attention to as he settled the bills.
When we got back in the car, my head was still reeling over what had just happened when Lorenzo broke the silence by warning me to not dare consider escaping with the aid of my new phone, because it’s never going to work out, and that he’s going to pluck my eyes out and feed them to me before putting a bullet in my throat, should I dare consider escaping or looking for help online with the aid of the new phone.
“Did you get all what I had just said?”
I pursed my lips and slowly gave a nod of my head while responding. “Yeah, I did.”
Any glimmer of hope I had unconsciously began to toy with in my heart after I received the phone, automatically squashed at once.
