The following day, Natasha had already arrived at Crying Sun City. Presently, she was highlighting from the cab that took her to the house she lodged when she came here. Surprisingly, the old man blind man’s house had been repainted and although it was a small bungalow, it looked radiant.
Natasha wondered if the house had been sold because she didn’t see any reason why a man who can not see spent money to repaint a house he can’t see. A blind man can’t tell the difference, and the blind man is even poor.
Natasha proceeded to the doorstep anyways, then she rang the doorbell. Took a few seconds before someone twisted the doorbell. On the opening of the door, she arched her brow in amazement on seeing the person at the door. “Titiana?”
Titiana smiled and greeted back, “Hey.”
Hearing Titiana speak again merries her heart. Titiana glows and looked very pleasant. She didn’t Look like the obsessed drug addict she looked like in Leaf City.
“I thought you were in Russia?” Natasha let out her confusion.
“Why don’t you come in first?” Titiana asked with a welcoming expression.
Still confused, Natasha walked in reluctantly. She then sat at Titiana’s gesture. “Shall I get you a coffee or water will do?”
“A cold water will do.” Natasha answered. For it was a little bit hot at Crying Sun. Titiana disappeared and was soon back with the water.
After Natasha had drank to her satisfaction, she dropped the cup. “Did you buy this house?”
“I guess you know Mr. Peller?”
“Of course. He taught me medicine. He got kidnapped during the time I gave birth to my kids.” Natasha said. “Is he still alive?”
“Yes, strong and healthy,” it wasn’t Natasha who replied but the blind old man, Mr. Peller.
Natasha turned her head swiftly to the door of the second room of the house. Mr. Peller, still blind began to walk towards the living room with the help of his rod.
Natasha’s heart skipped. “Oh my days!” Natasha was surprised but at the same time, so happy to see the blind healer again.
After Mr. Peller had sat, he said hoarsely, “you left me, Natasha.”
“I didn’t. I left because I thought those kidnappers that took you will come after me as well.” Says Natasha.
“You didn’t even bother to look for me, huh? You were the only one I had,” Mr. Peller said.
“I did report to the police. As a mother that had just delivered, my priority then was to ensure my kids are safe. I’m so sorry, sir. I’ll never abandon you purposely,” Natasha said.
Mr. Peller smiled briefly and relaxed, “it’s okay.”
“I’m fully healed now. All thanks to Mr. Peller,” Titiana said.
“How did you even know him?”
“A doctor in Russia informed Dmitry that bringing me over to Russia will help to some extent. A surgery will be performed and I’ll feel better but after a while, the cells will grow abnormally again and my state will be worse off. So he recommended a rare healer and Dmitry headed.” Titiana explained.
“I take it the rare healer is Mr. Dmitry?” Natasha asked.
“Wow.” Natasha said. “I’m so happy for you, Titiana.”
“Why are you here, my daughter?” Mr. Peller asked, referring to Natasha.
“I wanted to help Titiana and my father heal but thank God, Titiana is already healed. Left with my father. He’s stroke paralyzed. I want to learn more medical skills from you, sir.” Natasha said.
“Do you know why I was kidnapped?” Mr. Peller asked.
“I can’t guess.” Natasha responded.
“Some powerful families needed me to treat the old woman of their house. Because they understood that I have stopped treating people, they kidnapped me and forced me to rekindle my passion for healing. Only after the old woman gets healed was I let go.” Mr. Peller said.
“That must be a crazy family.”
“A desperate one,” Titiana chirped.
“Titiana, my bones and muscles are growing weak and I’m approaching a time when I’ll sleep and not wake again. I had also been wishing for you to pay me a visit once more before I go,” Mr Peller said. “With your kids in view, I take it you can’t spend more days here.”
“Sir, why don’t you come with me to Leaf City, you can live with me and I get to learn from you.” Natasha suggested.
The blind old man thought about it and said, “When I do, I want to be buried here in Crying Sun.”
“Though you are not dying soon, I’ll ensure that happens.” Natasha said.
“That means I’ll get to pay you lots of visits since Mr. Peller will be staying with you,” Titiana said and Natasha smiled.
The three adults then conclude to leave for Leaf City the following day.
However, that night, Titiana asked for Natasha to come with her to a club so they can just have fun. Titiana had personally surveyed a few places in Crying Sun and they were pretty but it’s boring doing that alone.
Although Natasha still needed lots of time to rest since she came from a long journey today and will set off again tomorrow morning, nonetheless, to keep Titiana happy, she agreed to go with him. Titiana needs to be happy now considering how the traumas they had experienced lately.
Both ladies informed the blind old man before they set off for the party. Barely four hours later, precisely 12:01 AM in the midnight, Natasha ran swiftly inside the house and called on Mr. Peller, who was at that time having one of the best sleep of his life.
“Mr. Peller! Mr. Peller!” Took a while before the man responded even though Natasha’s voice was loud.
“Titiana got into a fight with some men, and before I could defend her, these men bundled her and took her away,” Natasha said.
Mr. Peller quickly sat upright, “Crying Sun isn’t like Leaf City, there are many gangsters here. Oh my days!” The old man became devastated.
“Do you know anyone who could help here?” Natasha asked with a pounding heart.
“The Powerful family I helped…” Mr. Peller said and immediately stood.
“I know their mobile number offhand, call them at once,” Mr. Peller then began to call out the number.
All of a sudden, the door broke open and then a loud thud was heard. Natasha sped quickly towards the direction of the living room and saw that Titiana had been dropped, her face was covered with blood. She ran to her to check her and she could see her crying and panting heavily.
“Titiana, what did they do to you?” Natasha asked, tears rushing down her face. Did they rape her? How did they know this place? Natasha also noticed there was a bloody knife beside Titiana. She picked up the knife, wondering what was going on.
Titiana nevertheless couldn’t utter a word. Then she suddenly sighted a shadow of someone moving, she ran speedily, leaving Titiana.
She soon found herself in Mr. Peller’s room, the person she was trailing after had suddenly covered Mr. Peller’s face with a thick transparent white nylon and was trying to suffocate him. She charged at the man but the man was quick to guide her move and then swiftly find his way out.
The man’s face was covered with a mask but his stature looked familiar. Then he ran out, “who are you! Who the hell are you!” Natasha shouted as she ran after the man, trying to get him.
For she suspected that it must be that man that had come to drop Titiana. “What did you do to her!” She screamed.
Barely a few meters away from the house, she lost the man.
“Why is everything getting disastrous!” Natasha wondered sadly, her head throbbing. She ran speedily back to the house and saw that Titiana this time, was now foaming.
“Oh no!” She was about to run inside to look for any medical kits available when someone she least expected entered.
It was Dmitry, his icy face darted to her hand, it was then Natasha noticed she was still holding the knife.
Dmitry’s gaze fell on Titiana who laid on the floor, covered in blood and foaming heavily from the mouth. He walked steadily towards her, tears streaming down his face.
Natasha left quickly and went in search of first aid. She was able to find some. Once she was back, she began to administer treatment to Titiana.
Dmitry stood and then noticed Mr. Peller staggering out of the room. He walked swiftly to the man and helped him to where he could sit. While Natasha attended to Titiana, Dmitry picked up a handkerchief and soaked it inside a spirit, then he helped clean his nose gently but the man’s eyes were struggling to remain open. For he had struggled so hard to breath while he was being suffocated a few minutes ago.
The blind old man whimpered as Dmitry helped clean the blood around his nose and mouth, “Dmitry…” The man called very weakly.
“Yes, Mr. Peller. You will be fine,” Dmitry said in a comforting tone.
“As payment for healing your sister of cancer permanently, I want you to please take in Natasha as your woman,” the blind old man said.
Dmitry, despite being engrossed in the disastrous development, “not even my grandfather can make me marry anyone.” Then he stood upright, “just relax, Natasha will attend to you.” Then he shifted his gaze away from the blind old man and set it on Natasha, who was at the moment not doing anything again.
Titiana’s breath had become shallow, when her eyes met with that of Dmitry, she managed to smile, “I’ve … tried.” her voice was faint.
“Did Natasha stab you?” Dmitry asked because he had seen a knife in Natasha’s hand.
“You will make my soul happy if you do as Mr Peller asked,” she said faintly. She could literally feel breath crawling out of her nostrils, “take in Natasha as your wife, please.”
“Don’t you dare die, Titiana.” Dmitry said with a shivering voice. “You know how hard it has been on me ever since…” He trailed off, realizing a third party was there. His breaking and sad voice resumed again, “Titiana, please stay alive. Fine, I’ll marry her. But don’t die. Please. Life is already meaningless, it will be worse with you gone.”
