“Odin, Flynn, let’s go. You don’t want to eat at home. I still have a few hundred dollars left in my account. Shall we go somewhere else to eat?” Harriet’s tears were rolling in her eyes. She felt extremely upset seeing Flynn and her cousin being humiliated like that.
Odin was not someone who could keep quiet either. When he saw Damian mocking them recklessly, he angrily said, “Leave? As a hotel manager, he is trampling on people’s dignity at will! He is too much!”
“I must complain about him!”
“Complain to the chairman of Staraid Hotel!”
“Leave a message on their official website complaining about him!”
He had figured it out; Damian was just bad through and through with no cure!
“Complain?” Damian sneered contemptuously and said, “You are lowering the standard of Staraid Hotel by yourselves without me saying anything yet, and you still want to complain about me?”
“Well then, go ahead and complain; I can give you my phone number!”
“Haha… poor dogs trying to learn how to complain like others; it’s really funny!”
“You… you…” Odin almost fainted from anger upon hearing this.
“What am I? Get lost if there is nothing else for you here! Don’t waste my time!” Damian looked disgusted as he spoke harshly.
“If I wasn’t working right now, I would slap you dead with one hand!” Damian continued his insults.
Flynn coldly said, “Don’t talk nonsense with this trash; he’s just an ant! Let’s go eat at Castle in Sky.”
Just as he took out his Staraid VIP Card from his pocket, the lobby door opened and Braiden walked into Staraid Hotel.
As soon as Damian saw Braiden coming in, he greeted him like an old servant, “Mr. Swanson, your reservation for the private room was for tonight, right? Do you want to start early?”
Braiden calmly replied, “I’ve decided not to dine here after all. Please send the food over to my estate this afternoon.”
He had made a reservation three days ago for a private room but something came up that afternoon while passing by Staraid Hotel so he stopped by just say hello.
“No problem sir! We’ll deliver your food promptly at 5 pm.” Damian nodded obsequiously.
Braiden turned around readying himself leave when suddenly noticed Flynn surrounded by some people nearby and asked curiously, “What happened over there?”
“Oh haha… that poor guy wanted try some dishes from Staraid Hotel.”
“But not only did he fail make any reservations but also begged me arrange for him discount rates on top of that! Isn’t it hilarious?” mocked Damien sarcastically.
Braiden paused momentarily before walking over towards Flynn with playful look in his eyes asking, “Are you trying to experience some aristocratic service here?”
“Okay, since my private room won’t be used today anyway, I’ll give it to you. No need to pack the food, let Flynn have it,” Braiden said.
Everyone was momentarily stunned, and Madeline was particularly puzzled. Wasn’t there a conflict between Braiden and Flynn? Why was he being so generous today?
Flynn remained silent, looking coldly at Braiden, aware that he was harboring ill intentions.
“Mr. Swanson, this doesn’t seem appropriate. That waste doesn’t deserve such kindness!” Paulina exclaimed in surprise.
“Mr. Swanson actually gave up his private room for Flynn? He’s really in luck!”
“Flynn offended Mr. Swanson before, but the latter is overlooking past grievances. That’s what a true magnate does, with a heart broader than the ocean!”
“Tens of thousands of dollars may be a small amount to Mr. Swanson, but it’s a huge favor to Flynn! He should be moved to tears!”
People admired the situation and began to flatter Braiden.
“No, no, I have a condition,” Braiden waved his hand, smiling at Flynn. “There’s no such thing as a free lunch. If Flynn wants the private room, he must kneel down and kiss my shoes!”
The waitstaff erupted in excitement at Braiden’s words, looking at Flynn with mockery.
The Kaur family members, on the other hand, were stunned, their faces not looking good. Although they were reluctant to admit it, Flynn was indeed the son-in-law of the Kaur family. With Braiden’s act, weren’t they dragging the Kaur family into it?
Flynn picked a fight with the wrong person, and it happened to be Braiden. Now, the Kaur family was being humiliated too.
Madeline, seeing this, bit her lip fiercely. Braiden didn’t have good intentions; he resented Flynn for standing with Rose and came to humiliate him!
Odin’s sibling also had pale faces. Flynn had a grudge with Braiden! The latter was the heir of the Swanson family and the CEO of three pharmaceutical companies with a combined market value of tens of billions. Flynn, as the head of security in a small factory, was seeking trouble by offending such an heir!
However, Damian burst into laughter, mocking, “Flynn, Mr. Swanson is being so generous to you. He’s giving away a private room worth tens of thousands just like that. Why don’t you hurry and kneel down to kiss Mr. Swanson’s shoes?”
Harriet pulled Flynn’s hand, her face cold. “Flynn, we can’t afford to provoke them. Let’s go!”
Damian, however, stopped her with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “Are you joking? If you don’t agree to Mr. Swanson’s request, do you dare to leave?”
Odin asked angrily, “Are you trying to restrict our freedom?”
Damian sneered, “Of course I wouldn’t do that, but you all need to think carefully. If Flynn doesn’t follow through, I’ll teach you all a lesson like before!” His words were full of threats and arrogance.
It was as if they had gone back ten years ago when Damian and his gang bullied Flynn.
Braiden looked at Flynn with a playful expression on his face. Seeing so many people against him made him extremely happy. Even if he couldn’t make Flynn kneel down today and embarrass him into fleeing, it would still be a beautiful thing.
Madeline stepped forward to Damian and spoke softly, “Mr. Roy, Flynn is from my family. Can you spare him for our sake?”
“Can we end this now?” she added.
“The Kaur family?” Damian sneered indifferently. “What are you guys? A family that can only eat in the hall needs me to give you face?”
He pointed at Flynn disdainfully and said, “Besides, he’s lucky enough to kiss Mr. Swanson’s shoes thanks to his ancestors’ good fortune!”
“He should be grateful! What are you asking for?”
Harriet pleaded with Damian, “We’re just ordinary people who don’t want to offend anyone. Please spare my cousin and Flynn.”
“If it satisfies you, I’ll kneel down on behalf of Flynn!” Saying that, Harriet was about to kneel in front of Braiden.
Flynn reached out to stop her, looking at Damian coldly. “Choosing to be Braiden’s lapdog instead of being a decent person-what else can you do besides barking in front of me?”
Then, looking at Braiden again, he said indifferently, “You’re stubborn too, always trying to take advantage of me, but you end up getting slapped in the face every time.”
“You call yourself an entrepreneurial genius? In my eyes even trash is better than you!”
Everyone was shocked by what he said!
How dare he insult Braiden!
Wasn’t this pure suicide?
“What did you say?” Damian was shocked then furious; taking three steps forward before slapping Flynn across the face!
