The Kaur family’s criticism was harsh, and Odin and his cousin felt embarrassed.
“What’s going on?” Finally, the gathering of the Kaur family attracted the attention of the manager.
“Damian Roy!” Odin saw the manager and his face became even more embarrassed. He said coldly, “You’re a manager at Staraid Hotel?”
When Damian saw Odin, he paused for a moment before walking over with a smile. The two were high school classmates.
“Flynn, this is Damian. Do you still remember him from high school?” Odin reminded him with an icy tone.
Flynn’s face also turned cold. How could he forget? Damian was a bully in high school who constantly bullied his classmates. Flynn and Odin were often humiliated by him because they were poor.
During training in high school, Flynn’s pants ripped during squats due to poor quality material. Damian often mocked him about it and everyone knew about it throughout the entire school. Flynn slapped him twice because of this incident.
Damian became angry and called some thugs to beat up Flynn while throwing his books into the toilet with toilet paper stuffed in his backpack. Because of this incident, Flynn became a thorn in Damian’s side that he constantly humiliated.
Now seeing Damian here brought back memories from their time in high school which made Flynn look dark again.
“All our old classmates are eating at Staraid Hotel now! You’ve done well for yourself! We should get together soon!” Damian patted Odin on the back while smiling at Flynn.
Flynn furrowed his eyebrows slightly when he heard what Damien had said; why was he being so polite? Did society change him?
“Hey! I can’t afford it, barely making ends meet with odd jobs at the construction site. Flynn, on the other hand, can!” Odin, seeing Damian’s remarks, was a bit confused and smiled faintly.
“Flynn is currently the Head of Security at Energence Pharmaceuticals, earning over ten thousand a month.”
“I haven’t seen him in ten years, and Flynn said he would treat, so I tagged along.”
“Old classmate, can you help check if there are still available seats? If possible, give us a discount!”
“Later, you can also come over and chat.”
Odin didn’t like Damian, but seeing him speak so politely, he let go of his guard and started chatting.
“Head of Security? Over ten thousand a month?” Damian, after hearing this, was momentarily stunned. His face darkened, and his attitude changed dramatically.
“Damn! I thought you guys were rich now, turns out one is a laborer, and the other is a stinky security boss!”
“It’s bad luck running into two losers like yourselves today! Get lost!”
Damien’s words first stunned those gathered around them then caused them all to burst out laughing afterwards.
“Wow! I thought the manager would help them out, but he didn’t even care! He just told them to leave. Hilarious!”
“Mr. Roy was polite enough. Those three losers dirtied the hotel floor and he didn’t make them pay for it.”
“Poor people trying to use connections? He’s the manager of Staraid Hotel, making a six-figure salary. Why would he bother with you guys?”
The Kaur family burst into laughter at Flynn and his friends’ humiliation.
Flynn, oh Flynn.
If you hadn’t messed with us over that contract, maybe we could have had dinner together without all this drama?
Now look what happened. You can’t even show your face anymore!
Serves you right!
Odin was taken aback and turned red in the face.
“You… that’s too much! You guys are classmates and yet you speak like this?” Harriet was shocked and stuttered in anger.
Damian sneered disdainfully, “Your brother and Flynn were losers in school who I used to bully every day. Do they deserve my respect?”
“Especially Flynn, he’s a joke.”
“On the first day of training when we were freshmen, his pants split open revealing patched underwear underneath. I almost died laughing that day!” Damian couldn’t stop laughing as tears streamed down his face while continuing, “I felt sorry for him so I gave him my old pants that I used as a dog bed but that trash didn’t appreciate it; instead he hit me.”
“Do you know how I got back at him? Tore up every page of his book then threw it into an outhouse along with dozens of toilet paper scraps stuffed inside his backpack! Haha…”
“You don’t know how angry he got back then; almost fainted from rage haha… just thinking about it is hilarious!” Damian laughed until tears flowed uncontrollably.
The Kaur family was also shocked after hearing these words.
They never imagined that Flynn was such an embarrassing student whose pants had been ripped open before everyone else on campus.
How shameful!
Flynn narrowed his eyes coldly while Odin spoke icily, “All these stories from years ago are very interesting, aren’t they?”
“What do you mean not interesting? They’re especially interesting!” Damian smirked arrogantly without taking Flynn seriously while saying harshly, “You guys are just my entertainment whether in the past or now!”
“You’re so poor working on construction sites yet still dare to get mad at me?! Haven’t been beaten by me for ten years so your skin must be itching again?”
“Still want me to give discounts? How about if I break your legs instead?”
Madeline’s expression darkened.
She didn’t like Flynn.
But she felt uncomfortable listening to Damian insulting people like this.
Charlotte saw Flynn being belittled and couldn’t help but feel pleased. She laughed with a hint of sarcasm, saying, “Mr. Roy, you underestimate Flynn.”
“He’s a big shot now and even wants to go eat at Castle in Sky on the top floor!”
Damian was taken aback when he heard this, then burst out laughing.
“Hahaha! He wants to eat at Castle in Sky? A poor bastard like him? Hahaha…”
“Even Orion can’t go to Castle in Sky. Does this security guard really think he can go there? It’s ridiculous…”
His words also drew laughter from a group of waiters who thought it was crazy that someone would say they want to eat at Castle in Sky.
“Castle in Sky is an independent department with two martial arts masters guarding it. If you want to eat there, you must pass their verification and swipe your card.”
“That place is only for super VIPs. Mr. Roy can’t even get in without permission. This guy thinks he can just waltz right into the place and have dinner? He must be dreaming!”
Paulina glared at Flynn with gritted teeth and said, “Do you understand now? Get lost already!”
Madeline shook her head as well and advised Flynn, “Flynn, leave now or else it will only make things worse for you here.”
“Ms. Kaur,” Damian looked surprised when he realized that Flynn was from the Kaur family but then shook his head disdainfully.
“How could such a dog be let out?”
“You need to keep him tied up at home or else he’ll run wild!”
The people from the Kaur family turned red-faced upon hearing this comment; they felt embarrassed by association.
Paulina was filled with anger; she wished she could tear Flynn apart.
Flynn shook his head indifferently before saying coldly, “A mad dog is still a mad dog – incurable unless its legs are broken.”
Damian didn’t get angry but instead sneered condescendingly, “You’re still like how you were back when we were students – knowing full well that I could beat you up yet still provoking me.”
“I used to be able to bully you before; nothing has changed.”
“All right then – hurry up and get lost already! I don’t want to talk anymore with ants like yourself!”
After pausing briefly for effect Damian added jokingly, “If not leaving isn’t an option for ya’, why don’t ya’ squat outside by the door?”
“I’ll bring over two bowls of chicken bones later so ya’ have something ta’ chew on!”
