Blaze was the former owner of Rhinowares Group. After Bryant withdrew his shares, he sold the company to the Swanson’s Group. Following this, he returned to his old profession, engaging in the demolition business and assisting other construction companies.
Odin was also pleased and quickly implored Gabriel, “Mr. Jacks, they are bullying us too much. Could you please contact them for us? Please!”
With the reputation of the Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild, any construction company in Niarak had to show respect. This was the formidable influence of Orion!
Gabriel smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll call Mr. Kennedy’s Four Henchmen right away!”
Orion had four henchmen under him named Dragon, Tiger, Leopard and Wolf who specialized in handling underworld matters. Gabriel had invited them out for dinner several times before so their relationship was particularly good.
Gabriel called Orion’s Dragon directly on the phone and deliberately raised his voice saying, “Uncle Dragon! Which construction company is responsible for demolishing the slum?”
“They’re just demolishing it without a care in the world! They even bullied my friend!”
There was a moment of silence on the other end before they said, “Gabriel, ah! What happened?”
Gabriel said, “I have a friend whose house is in the urban village. They encountered a demolition team from a construction company that only compensated them one hundred thousand. I was hoping you could help inquire about it!”
After a moment of contemplation on the other end, a casual response came, “Oh, sorry, I can’t handle this matter. I have a meeting to attend right away. Gotta hang up.”
Before Gabriel could say anything, the call was already disconnected.
Gabriel was dumbfounded.
What was going on? During meals, Dragon used to put his sarms around his dad’s shoulders, calling each other brothers. He even said that if there were any issues, just find him, and he could handle it even if it involved powerful figures. Why was there no favor given now?
Little did Gabriel know, news of his dad being expelled had already spread throughout all departments of the Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild. Moreover, from the notification to leaving, it took only five minutes, and he was thrown out by security!
People move on, and those who were once friendly may not have the time or inclination to care.
Gabriel, puzzled, felt extremely annoyed.
With so many classmates watching, he could only seek help from other connections.
He dialed the number of Leopard.
This person had the closest relationship with his dad.
As soon as the call went through, Gabriel immediately said, “Uncle Leopard, it’s Gabriel. I’ve encountered a situation in the urban village…”
As he spoke, Gabriel explained the situation.
Leopard looked embarrassed and said, “Gabriel, they’re from the Price’s Group. It’s better for you not to get involved.”
Feeling a bit panicked, Gabriel said, “Uncle Leopard, the demolition project is likely outsourced. The Price’s Group may not be aware. Can you help check?”
With a wry smile, the other person replied, “I don’t think it’s necessary to ask. Just leave it like that!”
Gabriel was immediately angry and said, “Uncle Leopard, you always treated my dad like a brother and our family has benefited from it. Are you really not willing to help us out with this?”
Leopard didn’t waste any time talking to him and coldly said, “Gabriel, your father has been fired. Don’t you know about this?”
“It was Mr. Kennedy’s order and he was very angry. Your father must have committed an unforgivable crime!”
“In this situation, who would dare help your family?”
Gabriel stared in disbelief and asked, “Fired? When did this happen?”
“Half an hour ago. You should call and find out for yourself. And by the way, don’t contact me again!” Leopard hung up.
Blaze looked at Gabriel’s stunned expression and slapped him on the face while sneering, “What? Can’t find anyone? Weren’t you just boasting about finding Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild earlier?”
Just as Gabriel was about to speak up, Blaze slapped him again causing him to stumble back onto the ground.
Everyone around them were shocked! Harriet and her friends turned pale but they didn’t dare approach them since their opponents had more people on their side with weapons in hand.
“Sir, let’s talk things over instead of resorting to violence.”
“Talk things over? I’ll talk your mother! It’s a good thing my boss came or else I would’ve let you fool me! Damn it!”
The bald man kicked Gabriel in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground, where he was subjected to a brutal beating.
Gabriel screamed in pain, but no one dared to step forward to help him.
Before long, Gabriel’s face was swollen, covered in blood, completely devoid of his affluent appearance.
Terrified, Gabriel knelt on the ground, pleading, “Sir, I was wrong, please stop, I was wrong…”
“To hell with you! You think offering an apology will suffice after messing with me? If I don’t break your legs today, how am I going to survive in the future?” Blaze snorted and then shouted to the bald man and others, “Beat him! Break his legs for me!”
The group rushed forward, delivering punches and kicks to Gabriel. Some even used steel pipes, exhibiting a ruthlessness that resulted in blood splattering and a horrifying scene.
After observing for a while, Blaze approached Harriet and threatened, “Your friend is pretending to be tough, so you won’t be getting that one hundred thousand.”
“If you don’t agree, your fate will be the same!”
Odin, upon hearing this, felt a raging fire inside him.
Not paying the one hundred thousand? Did that mean the house was being given away for free?
A thorough extermination!
If he agreed, Harriet and her grandfather would be left homeless, with nowhere to go.
Thinking of this, he stood in front of Harriet, gritting his teeth, and insisted, “It must be the same as with the others-a hundred square meters of housing, one hundred thousand!”
Blaze frowned tightly and spoke coldly, “Do you dare say that again?”
After speaking, he took out a spring knife from his pocket.
Everyone screamed in terror.
“Harriet, where is your company’s head of security? Didn’t he say he was skilled? Why is he hiding inside now?”
“Yeah! Odin is still his classmate. He’s in danger now and that guy can’t even come out!”
“Just earlier he was acting all tough but now when something happens he’s scared. It was pointless for Harriet to go out of the village to greet him. He’s not really a man!”
Several female classmates saw Flynn wasn’t there and began to sneer at him thinking that Flynn was too afraid to show himself.
Odin sighed inwardly as well.
Flynn was just the head of security at a small factory; what could he do if he came out?
Blaze had over two hundred henchmen under him and considered many construction company bosses as friends!
If Flynn came out, it would only result in him getting beaten up!
Little did they know…
Flynn had been examining Harriet’s grandfather before so hadn’t noticed what happened outside until after finishing everything. When hearing screams from outside, he walked towards them with furrowed brows.
“I’ll say it again: unless you compensate my sister with a house plus another 100k cash payment then I won’t agree.”
“Even if you kill me I won’t agree!” Odin almost shouted these words aloud.
Blaze frowned deeply before saying coldly, “Fine! Then I’ll grant your wish.”
As soon as Blaze finished speaking, his spring knife flashed towards Odin!
However… it was precisely at this moment when Blaze caught sight of someone walking out from the main hall…
His eyes first showed confusion before turning into deep fear; finally falling on his knees with a thud!
