The old man got out of bed, initially holding onto the edge for support, but gradually letting go until he was able to walk on his own!
“Dr. Jacks is amazing! He truly deserves to be the chief physician. He cured the illness with just a few needles!”
“This is true skill! Only those who have gone to college and received systematic training can possess such abilities!”
“Dr. Jacks is simply an idol! He comes from a good family and has impressive skills. We can’t compare ourselves to him!”
Everyone began praising Gabriel’s medical skills, elevating him to god-like status.
The old man paced back and forth on the ground, picking up speed as his smile grew wider.
Suddenly, his body stiffened and he was hit with excruciating pain in his lower back before collapsing onto the floor with a cry of agony.
Flynn quickly caught him before he hit the ground.
“Ahh! My back hurts even more now! It’s killing me!” The scene left everyone stunned.
Gabriel was also shocked by what had happened and rushed over to examine the old man. However, no matter how many silver needles he used or how much pressure he applied, there was no response from the patient.
“It seems that I was unable to suppress evil energy which then invaded his spinal cord…” Gabriel panicked.
“Oh no! What are we going to do? Grandpa can’t handle this kind of pain at his age!” Harriet cried as she listened helplessly while her grandfather screamed in agony.
Odin also became anxious and suddenly thought about Flynn’s earlier words. “Flynn could you take a look?” Odin asked tentatively.
“Yes Flynn, please help us out here,” Harriet pleaded tearfully.
“Alright,” Flynn thought for a moment before nodding slightly.
He originally didn’t want to get involved in this matter, but considering his good relationship with Odin, he decided to help out.
Gabriel immediately intervened, “The old man is already deeply affected by evil spirits, and his condition is even more complicated. He can’t withstand any further disturbance.”
“If you can’t cure him, he won’t even be able to control his bowel movements in the future!”
“At this point, he should go to the hospital for surgery to remove the lumbar disc!”
As soon as these words were spoken, not to mention that Harriet was frightened, the old man also shook his head repeatedly, “I’d rather die than undergo surgery.”
Then he pointed at Flynn, “Harriet, please have your leader take a look for me!”
Being experienced in illness, the grandfather and grandson both knew the consequences of lumbar disc removal, with endless potential complications!
Possibly unable to stand up straight, even.
“Think it over; the old man’s spinal nerves are already fragile. In case of any mishap, he’ll be worse off than dead!”
“Don’t challenge someone else’s profession with your hobbies! Hurry up and persuade Harriet to take the old man to the hospital!” Gabriel warned Flynn again.
Flynn frowned coldly and said, “Who caused the old man’s symptoms? You don’t even know about Strou Drein red ginseng, so what gives you the right to speak here?”
“And furthermore, if you can’t diagnose a patient through pulse-taking and observation, then just stick to that. Don’t try to treat them!”
“If you can’t even get the cause of the old man’s illness right, I really don’t know how you became a chief physician!”
Gabriel was almost choked by these words. His face turned ugly as he blurted out, “Medicine has many different disciplines. My major in college was acupuncture and my knowledge of herbs is limited.”
“No one can guarantee that they will cure a disease. You’re just a country doctor who has no right to lecture me!”
“If you want to treat the old man, I won’t stop you. But let’s see how good you really are!”
“If you can cure him completely, I’ll revoke my medical license on the spot! Hmph! A lowly security guard dares to lecture me?”
Flynn coldly glanced at him before sitting down and massaging the old man’s back.
The crowd gathered around them.
“I thought he had some real skills but he’s just using massage therapy! Will it work?”
“The old man’s lumbar spine is too fragile. If he uses too much force it could damage his nerves!”
Gabriel also looked disdainful as he couldn’t wait for Flynn to fail.
But Flynn didn’t care at all.
His technique was not like regular massage therapy; his strength focused on acupoints with an aim of strengthening liver and kidney function while dissolving bone hyperplasia which compressed nerves in his lumbar spine.
In less than ten minutes, the painful groans from the old man disappeared and his pale face regained its color.
“It doesn’t hurt anymore!” The old man exclaimed in surprise again!
Everyone looked at Flynn in shock with their mouths open wide!
“Hmph! It’s still only temporary relief like mine; it’ll start hurting again soon!” Gabriel still tried hard not lose face despite being proven wrong by Flynn’s treatment method.
Flynn found this guy amusing as he said lightly, “It’s sad that there are people like trash such as yourself working in medicine.”
“What did you say?” Gabriel instantly exploded, “Are you angry because I exposed your secrets or something?”
“To be honest with ya’, I’ve never liked ya’.”
“A lowly captain of security guards who acts arrogantly from entering until now. Others wouldn’t know any better thinking they were meeting ‘the Northern Territory Warlord’ or something!”
“What kind of thing do ya think ya are? Making Harriet wait for an hour outside village gate? Ya have no shame!”
“Let me tell ya’, with your pathetic appearance, one hand would be enough for me kill off someone like yourself! Stop pretending here!”
All those pent-up frustrations inside him suddenly burst forth into anger.
I am a wealthy young man, my father is the manager of Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild, high and mighty, driving luxury cars and living in villas. You should look up to me! You should fear me! You should bow down to me!
What gives you the right to be calm?
What gives you the right to remain unperturbed by praise or insult?
What gives you the right for my goddess who I have been pursuing to favor you?
What gives you the right to come here with an indifferent or even contemptuous expression towards me?
Calm eyes, disdainful gaze, contemptuous attitude.
Gabriel felt that every move Flynn made was humiliating him!
Odin saw Flynn’s face turn extremely dark and quickly whispered, “Bro, Gabriel’s family has some power. Let’s just bear with it…”
Harriet also panicked when she saw both men at odds, “Flynn, please give in a little bit. It’s better not to make things worse.”
She knew Flynn’s temper and also knew about Gabriel’s family power.
But this time they were not in their company; if these two clashed here, Rose would not be able to protect Flynn!
“Bear with it?” Flynn sneered and looked at Gabriel coldly, “Do you dare talk like this because of your dad?”
Gabriel said arrogantly, “That’s correct! My dad has Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild behind him. He can easily kill you!”
“If you don’t want to die, then act like a coward in front of me instead of being arrogant like an emperor. It annoys me!”
Flynn nodded his head and sent Orion a text message, “Is the purchasing department manager at Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild surnamed Jacks with a son named Gabriel?”
“If so, fire him immediately!”
Orion replied quickly, “Boss, security has already gone after him!”
Flynn turned off his phone; he no longer wanted anything more from such insignificant people as he planned on writing out an herbal prescription for Harriet’s grandfather.
It was then that suddenly someone kicked open the door.
A group of vicious-looking youth broke into their place one by one.
Each person had tattoos all over their bodies while holding machetes or steel pipes; they did not look friendly at all.
Seeing these people coming in, Harriet and Odin were filled with fear as they hurriedly went up front.
The bald-headed leader grinned wickedly saying, “Harriet, have you thought about our previous offer yet?”
Harriet timidly replied, “The neighbor’s house is just as big as mine so I want compensation for one hundred square meters plus ten thousand dollars cash.”
“Why does my house only get ten thousand dollars?”
“Do we look easy enough for grandpa-grandson duo like us?”
The bald man grinned, “So what if we’re bullying you? Today is the deadline, and if you don’t agree, we’ll demolish your house without giving you a penny. You have one minute to think about it.”
The Hamilton siblings were so angry they almost passed out.
Wasn’t this just bullying honest people? How was it any different from robbery?
Gabriel heard this and his lips curled slightly upwards. He had lost face twice in front of Flynn and his image in Harriet’s eyes had plummeted.
He needed to prove himself now.
So Gabriel stood in front of Harriet and asked loudly, “Who are you guys hanging out with?”
The bald man sneered, “Who are you to ask me that? Do I need to tell you who I am?”
Gabriel snorted, “Let me tell you something. My dad is the purchasing manager at Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild and he knows the four brave henchmen under Mr. Kennedy!”
“If you don’t want to die, get lost!”
“Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild?” The bald man trembled at these words.
Just then Blaze walked in and looked coldly at Gabriel saying, “These days there are too many brats who use Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild as a scare tactic. Just talking big won’t work.”
“Here’s the deal: If you can find someone who can vouch for what you say, then I’ll agree to their demands – compensate them with a 100 square meter house plus 100k.”
“But if not… don’t blame me for being impolite!”
