Chapter 256 I Don’t Even Know How to Lose!

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-6-4

“Is this for real?” Layla stepped out of the car and grabbed the ancient formula, studying it carefully.
“Boom!”
At first glance, her head was about to explode. This was actually real!
Lilia was also excited, “Layla, what is this?”
Layla explained, “This is the Returning Heart Pill that has been lost for eight hundred years! Legend has it that it can cure all heart diseases with its ancient formula.”
“The efficacy is beyond doubt, and the medicine can cure any disease!”
“It’s an ancient secret recipe developed by the legendary physician Soren Ostell!”
“What! A divine medicine developed by Soren!” Lilia’s beautiful face showed a look of shock, and her hands trembled.
She could doubt the authenticity and efficacy of the ancient formula. But she couldn’t doubt Soren!
His things were not allowed to be questioned!
He was a legend in Ostrad for centuries in medicine!
Who wouldn’t be awed?
“For now, this prescription is eighty percent authentic! Let me check some more ancient books when I get back home. Let’s go!” Layla quickly got into the car.
With fiery eyes, Lilia asked, “What if it’s true?”
“The Returning Heart Pill is as legendary as Bone-Healing Powder. If it’s true and put into production, we can compete with Energence Pharmaceuticals on new drugs!”
Upon hearing this answer, Lilia became even more excited than before.
Energence Pharmaceuticals’ new drug had surpassed the Swanson Group’s product in sales volume while successfully securing channel partners and suppliers. This made their three companies very frustrated; Lilia and Layla came out today to discuss their next steps.
They had even decided to raise funds through stock shorting Energence Pharmaceuticals.
“Let’s go back quickly!” Lilia couldn’t wait any longer.
About two hours later after referencing countless medical books from antiquity, Layla confirmed that this Ancient Formula Returning Heart Pill was indeed genuine! And complete too!
Roughly estimated, this ancient formula could bring profits worth at least hundreds of billions!
“Heaven helps me!”
“I actually found an antique prescription worth over hundreds of billions!”
Even though Lilia and Layla were used to big scenes like these, they were still shocked when they confirmed that Ancient Formula Returning Heart Pill existed. Their emotions took a long time to calm down.
Energence Pharmaceuticals had Bone-Cleansing Pills while the Hussain family Pharmaceutical had Returning Heart Pills. Rose would have no advantage on new drugs anymore.
In such case, they could crush Energence Pharmaceuticals through their joint influence with unparalleled channel partners.
In terms of new drugs, the three companies had Acebegron Clear Relief and Returning Heart Pill.
In terms of channels and suppliers, the three companies had more than ten distributors.
In terms of funds, they had a reserve of hundreds of billions.
As for Energence Pharmaceuticals?
They only had the Bone-Cleansing Pill as a new drug.
Their sole supplier was the Alpire Group.
In terms of channels, according to information obtained by Braiden, they only had one medium-sized distributor named Blueworth Group, with only three hundred pharmacies nationwide.
In terms of funds, Energence Pharmaceuticals had only 30billion.
“Braiden just gave me some news that he will meet Rose’s distributors and suppliers this afternoon.”
“We’ll put pressure on them to give up working with Rose!”
“I don’t even know how we’re going to lose this situation!” Lilia smirked disdainfully.
“Pressure? Corbin has the Spencer family supporting him; it might be difficult for them to give up,” Layla frowned.
“The Spencer family may be strong but they are still based in East Sea; Niarak is our territory!” Lilia shook her head contemptuously.
Layla nodded thoughtfully. To be honest, she didn’t care much about Braiden’s plans. She joined the business war just to help her good friend Lilia.
Whatever Braiden wanted to do was his own business! Layla had no intention of getting involved in this matter; if Barney asked about it, she would pretend not to know anything.
“Lilia, there is something you need to consider carefully: Returning Heart Pill has unquestionable therapeutic effects and can cure any heart disease.”
“But the ingredients are expensive, at least 10 billion dollars if produced on a large scale!”
Layla expressed concern because some of the ingredients like deer antler velvet, snow lotus flower, and polygonum multiflorum root were rare herbs that required strict production methods which meant adding new production lines – all of which required huge investments!
Lilia was taken aback by the amount: 10billion dollars! This was already one-third of all the Hussain family’s circulating capital – indeed a significant sum!
“It doesn’t matter! As long as Returning Heart Pill is launched successfully, we can recover our investment!”
“I’m sending the ancient medical formula over now so that the Pharmaceutical R&D department can study it thoroughly as soon as possible!”
“Let’s keep this information confidential for now until after we launch our new drug.”
“I want Rose to get a big surprise when it comes out!” Lilia sneered coldly; she couldn’t wait to see Rose’s desperate look!

After Paulina left with her daughter, Matteo quickly sat down next Flynn and started talking again.
“Flynn, you haven’t spent enough time with Madeline since you got married. How can you develop feelings if you don’t spend time together? Try to find more opportunities to hang out with her!”
After hearing this, Flynn rubbed his nose and nodded in agreement. Their marriage was just a one-sided wish of their elders and it seemed like there was no chance of saving it.
Hang out with Madeline? Flynn didn’t want to be a lapdog!
“Mr. Kaur, Madeline told me that someone beat you up while I was in jail.”
“Can you tell me who did it?” Flynn poured Matteo a cup of tea and asked seriously.
Matteo hesitated for a moment before shaking his head. “Don’t listen to Madeline’s nonsense. It never happened. I’ve had this condition since I was young.”
“Was it someone from the Clark family?” Flynn didn’t believe Matteo’s words and continued questioning him.
They, the mother and son, escaped to Niarak in hiding. After Adrianna’s death, Flynn’s uproar at the Clark family exposed their whereabouts.
It should be Tessa who knew that Matteo had taken them in, leading her to seek revenge.
Upon hearing this, Matteo’s eyes flashed with a hint of fear, and his hands trembled suddenly.
After being lost in thought for a long time, he shook his head and said earnestly, “Flynn, this has nothing to do with the Clark family. Don’t overthink it.”
Flynn furrowed his brows deeply, a hint of suspicion flashing across his face.
Something terrifying must have happened that day, causing Matteo to be tight-lipped about it. Moreover, judging by Matteo’s expression, it was indeed unrelated to the Clark family.
What exactly happened?
Since Matteo was unwilling to answer, Flynn had to let it go for now.
He would ask Paulina when he had the chance; she might know some inside information.
No one should bully Matteo! Regardless of who he was, Flynn was determined to find out!
Thinking of this, Flynn’s gaze fell on the medicine bottle on the table and said, “Mr. Kaur, this medicine doesn’t seem to be very effective for your condition. Why not try the ancient remedy I provided?”
Matteo smiled, “I think it works fine; I took one yesterday and felt much better.”
“This medicine can only suppress symptoms without curing your illness,” said Flynn as he shook his head knowing they wouldn’t believe in its effectiveness anyway.
“Never mind, several of the ingredients in the ancient remedy are quite expensive, and it takes a month to take effect.”
“Although I can modify the ancient remedy, using common herbs, and it can cure within a week, but it’s still too slow.”
“How about this, let me treat you with acupuncture. It will only take an hour to heal!”
