“Brother-in-law, can you predict the future? Tell me which man I will marry!” Scarlet playfully grabbed Flynn’s arm, her eyes sparkling with a coy and innocent look.
Madeline furrowed her brow lightly after seeing this. The girl was still too young and naive. She had developed feelings for Flynn because he had shown some skill and saved her at the Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild.
“The path of love is rocky,” Flynn glanced at Scarlet and said in a flat tone.
“Pfft!” Scarlet rolled her eyes when she saw that Flynn lacked any romantic interest in her. She then hammered his arm before returning to Madeline’s side.
“Flynn, I hope you will be more honest in the future and stop doing these shady things,” Madeline said coldly as she noticed that despite everything that had happened earlier, Flynn remained unfazed.
“What do you mean by shady?” Flynn frowned as he did not understand what Madeline was talking about.
Madeline crossed her arms over her chest and spoke icily, “You saw how rich people are willing to try anything to cure their illnesses. You tried to scam money from the Pearce family but failed, so you targeted the Wong family instead.”
“You pretended to help Mr. Wong with his illness by buying medicine for him but ended up swindling 20 million from them.”
“You also claimed that there were geomancy problems at the Wong Residence which needed double attention before Mr. Wong could recover.”
“So if Mr. Wong doesn’t get better after taking your medicine, are you going to say that Toby Master’s geomancy formation is no good just so you can cover your tracks?”
Flynn froze for a moment when he heard this before sneering disdainfully without bothering to explain himself further.
Seeing his attitude, Madeline furrowed her brow again, “Am I wrong? If you really know geomancy or medical skills well enough, why don’t you take on Mr. Wong’s offer of 100 million dollar?”
“I think it’s because deep down inside, you don’t have what it takes! You stopped at 20 million dollar!”
Flynn’s expression darkened as he spoke indifferently, “Listen carefully now, I’m not interested in taking on that 100 million-dollar offer because money doesn’t motivate me!”
“Believe it or not, both Mr. Pearce’s illness and Callie’s illness were cured by me!”
“You’re just being stubborn,” Madeline chuckled lightly while sneering contemptuously. “So since you claim yourself an expert physician, why don’t you put your skills into practice? My dad has an old ailment where he often experiences shortness of breath and chest tightness whenever his emotions run high.”
“If indeed, you possess such great healing abilities, then go take a look at him sometime!”
Madeline knew very well how shameless people like Flynn operated; they would never admit they were frauds unless someone exposed them directly face-to-face!
“Mr. Kaur has severe health issues?” Suddenly, Flynn raised his eyebrows incredulously while struggling with disbelief, “I know he suffers from insomnia, but shortness of breath and chest tightness…”
Flynn slowly recalled and suddenly remembered the day of Paulina’s birthday party when the Kaur family forced Madeline to divorce him, Matteo’s face was very bad. He thought Matteo was angry, but he didn’t realize that he was sick himself.
Madeline’s eyes were cold and full of resentment as she said, “After you went to jail, my dad got this illness and has been taking medication to suppress it. Flynn’s mind went blank as guilt rose within him. Every time he visited the Kaur family, there would be unpleasant arguments with Paulina being verbally aggressive while Madeline looked down on him. So now Flynn didn’t even want to step into their home.
If only he had sat down with Matteo regularly for a chat, then surely he could have noticed something wrong but unfortunately that never happened.
“What happened after I went to jail?” Flynn asked coldly.
Madeline looked at him disdainfully and replied indifferently, “What do you think happened?”
“After Adrianna died,” she continued icily, “you disappeared without a trace not long after we heard news of your imprisonment which caused my dad’s sickness.”
“One day soon after that incident,” she said sharply, “he returned home covered in blood almost dying at our doorstep!”
“We asked what had happened but he refused to say anything.”
“But I know for sure that his injuries are definitely related to you mother-son duo!” Madeline glared at them both with hatred in her eyes.
“Covered in blood? Who attacked him!” Flynn’s face turned dark as ice filled his gaze.
Scarlet also frowned slightly upon hearing this story because Matteo was known for having good temperaments so it seemed strange how such an incident occurred causing injury like this.
“Do you want to revenge for my dad?” Madeline sneered contemptuously. “Forget it! I’m not asking for any repayment from you except just staying out of trouble, which is already enough repayment towards my father!” She gave Flynn one last cold look before turning around and leaving abruptly.
“Flynn,” Rose suddenly appeared behind him without warning. “The new drug launch conference is about to start soon. Where are your guests?”
Flynn snapped out of his thoughts quickly pulling out his phone; he sent Estella a quick message saying they will be arriving shortly.
As soon as the words fell, there was a sudden commotion in the tens of thousands of square meters exhibition center.
“Braiden is here! I heard that the Swanson’s Group is officially releasing a new drug today!”
“That’s right. A while ago, Mr. Swanson held a small-scale new drug release conference at his estate, and the response was very good. They raised billions of investments on that day alone! Today’s official release should be even more sensational!”

Rose’s face turned cold after hearing this news.
Originally the Swanson’s Group had scheduled their press conference for 2 pm in the afternoon but Rose decided to launch her own product before them, so she could get some early investment opportunities.
