Chapter 206 True Dragon

Nathan stood frozen in place, his mind blank with surprise and confusion. How could Flynn have known about the hidden illnesses that he couldn’t even detect from a person’s appearance alone? Was he just guessing? If he was that accurate, he should go buy a lottery ticket.
And how could Flynn have known beforehand? Judging by the expressions on the faces of the Wong family members, it was their first time meeting him. There was no way he could have known in advance.
Feeling frustrated, Nathan asked, “I was right about your weak energy and excess fire?”
“Is that so?” Flynn placed his hand on the table and smiled. “Then why don’t you take my pulse?”
Nathan walked over to stand in front of Flynn and reached out to touch his wrist. His eyebrows furrowed as he felt for any abnormalities.
“It’s strange,” Nathan said with confusion evident in his eyes. “Your pulse is steady and calm with consistent rhythm. It’s perfectly normal.”
“But your heart rate is only half of what it should be for a healthy person,” Nathan continued incredulously.
Flynn appeared healthy according to his pulse but had an abnormally slow heart rate, only 30-something beats per minute! Even hibernating turtles had faster blood flow than this!
“Oh?” Flynn responded nonchalantly before suddenly sitting up straight with cold eyes fixed on Nathan.
Boom!
An invisible pressure descended from above causing Nathan to shiver uncontrollably as goosebumps covered his skin.
“What’s going on?” He exclaimed in disbelief. “How can your pulse suddenly become as powerful as a raging river?”
“Heavy like mountains entering rivers; light like dragons emerging from abysses; beating at two hundred times per minute while remaining calm and composed.”
“Only grandmasters possess such strong energy control,” Nathan gasped out loud unable to believe what was happening before him. “Who are you really?”
Flynn had managed to quickly adjust all of the energy within himself within seconds which showed incredible mastery over controlling his own body functions including heartbeat regulation. Something only grandmasters were capable of doing!
With one punch, he shattered a wooden table into pieces while also diagnosing all ailments present within their patient at once! It seemed impossible for someone so young yet accomplished!
Nathan’s worldview was overturned, and his eyes were filled with shock.
“Mr. Fletcher claims he’s a Grandmaster? Grandmasters are as rare as dragons, and there are at most twenty warriors in Ostrad who have reached this level! He’s so young; it’s impossible!”
“No way, the fastest person to achieve the rank of Grandmaster in Ostrad was Nate Black, right? He became a Grandmaster at the age of forty, but this person is not over thirty. How could this be?”
“Mr. Fletcher’s words cannot be false. The person in front of us is a true dragon! We were blind.”
The Wong family was shocked by Flynn’s medical skills, and after hearing Nathan’s words, their expressions became even more respectful, knowing that they had encountered a hidden expert.
“You think Mr. Clark is lazy and walks loosely as if he doesn’t care about anything, but little do you know he is cultivating his inner strength!”
“Calm as a virgin, agile as a rabbit. This is the state of those who have reached the pinnacle of martial arts!” Roman snorted disapprovingly at Nathan.
Nathan was provoking recklessly again. Fortunately for him, he was Flynn’s disciple; otherwise, if it were someone else or if Flynn was in a bad mood, one move would turn Nathan into blood mist.
Despite being from the prestigious Fletcher family with three hundred years of glory and assets worth trillions of dollars in Eahta, if Flynn killed Nathan, then they would just have to accept it!
The words “King of the Underworld” were synonymous with Ostrad’s peak power!
“So that’s how it is!” Nathan suddenly realized and muttered to himself, “Walking around while sitting down or lying down all involve cultivation; seemingly harmless but actually like giant dragons coiled up inside ready to overturn rivers and seas at any moment without anyone able to resist!”
At this moment, Nathan finally understood that whether it was fighting or medicine competition, Flynn’s words were not nonsense but rather profound wisdom.
“In light of this, Mr. Clark really has extraordinary abilities; there should be no problem Mr. Price calling him Master.”
“When we mocked him earlier on, he didn’t say anything back so I thought he couldn’t refute us because we’re too insignificant for him.”
“The truly capable people don’t bother arguing with us. In Mr. Clark’s eyes, we are just ants not worth mentioning.”
In just half an hour, everyone had made an 180-degree turnabout towards their attitude towards Flynn, their faces turning red with embarrassment.
Roman glared fiercely at Nathan saying, “You won’t give up until you’ve disgraced yourself completely here in Niarak will you? You’re nothing but trouble!”
“Do you understand now?” asked Roman rhetorically before turning back towards Flynn bowing ninety degrees respectfully saying, “Master, I haven’t been able to discipline my disciple properly which has caused annoyance several times over. I will definitely punish him when I return home.”
Nathan also snapped out his trance falling onto his knees admitting defeat, “Master, I’m sorry! I’ll never look down on anyone again.”
“Never again will I be careless in my medical practice. From now on, I will learn from my master and practice medicine with diligence.”
Everyone was stunned by this scene. Roman’s medical skills ranked among the top four in Ostrad, yet he was apologizing to Flynn like a well-behaved student, showing utmost respect.
Even though they knew about Flynn’s abilities, seeing Roman’s behavior still shocked them.
Flynn waved his hand and said to Roman, “I’ve recently developed a drug for Energence Pharmaceuticals. I’ll bring it to Pharma Congress tomorrow.”
“You can ask Katrina for the information later today and study it carefully. Tomorrow you’ll help me at the event.”
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back now.”
Uriah saw that Flynn was leaving and quickly bowed down saying, “Mr. Clark, my father is suffering from diabetes which has developed into arteriosclerosis heart disease that could cause sudden cardiac death at any moment! We beg you to save his life! My family is willing to do anything as gratitude!”
The other members of the Wong family also lowered their heads with hopeful expressions on their faces.
The old man had connections, means and resources that no one in the younger generation of Wong family could match up with.
If he lived longer, many people would have face-saving obligations towards him, but if he died, then many connections would be lost which would be a fatal blow for the development of the Wong family.
They knew how important it was for him to stay alive so they were willing to do anything even asking Flynn for help.
“Can’t Mr. Price cure him?” Flynn frowned after hearing Uriah’s plea and turned around asking Roman instead.
Roman felt embarrassed as he explained, “Mr. Wong has already suffered from systemic organic lesions caused by diabetes along with diabetic foot syndrome, making his body extremely weak.”
“I can cure him but need constant care every day including acupuncture treatment combined with medication carefully administered over a month before there is any chance of curing him completely.”
“But Eahta has too much work right now so I recommended you instead,” said Roman apologetically.
After thinking about it for a while, Flynn said, “Alright then, you help me tomorrow at Pharma Congress, and treating your friend should also count as repayment. I want you tell me more about Mr. Wong’s condition.”
They arrived at the front yard where Roman explained everything while Flynn checked Mr. Wong’s pulse before saying nonchalantly, “He doesn’t need more than one set of medicine; this illness won’t take more than a month.”
Once again silence filled the room after hearing what Flynn had just said!
