Katrina strode into the estate, all eyes focused on her.
She was a doctorate from Eahta Medical School and had a gold medal team under her belt. She was also the daughter of Travis, the city’s mayor. With so many celebrities and dignitaries present, no one could outshine her except for Layla, who was known as the pride of heaven.
“Mr. Swanson has just released his new product with a bang! Ms. Richardson is leading a top-notch team to join us at the Swanson’s Group. For the next few years, it seems that no one can shake them except for the Woods family!”
“The Woods family, Swanson family and Dragon Gate have formed an alliance that no one cannot resist any longer in Niarak. Perhaps in the near future they will merge into Ostrad’s hottest pharmaceutical group!”
“The Swanson family is now worth over 10 billion dollars with Ms. Richardson’s team escorting them. Their stocks are sure to skyrocket even more than double their current value.”
Amidst all this envy in the room, Braiden proudly straightened his suit and walked towards Katrina with confidence.
“Ms. Richardson welcome to the Swanson’s Group! I believe our pharmaceutical research institution will be even more brilliant after your arrival.” Braiden smiled brightly as he extended his hand but Katrina froze.
She gave Braiden an odd look before shaking hands politely and saying, “Mr. Swanson when did I ever say I wanted to join the Swanson’s Group? I don’t recall replying to you about it either?”
The room fell silent.
Braiden paused for a moment before laughing heartily, “Ms. Richardson you must have seen our video which made you interested in joining us but were unsure about your salary package so you wanted to discuss it face-to-face?”
“Don’t worry,” he continued “the salary benefits are absolutely top-notch – $3 million per year.”
“The people on your team range from 500, 000 dollars up to 1 million depending on their degree level – what do you think?”
The entire audience was stunned by this revelation.
“A $3 million annual salary is considered super high among all major pharmaceutical companies’ R&D departments in Ostrad! This salary exceeds an annual profit of small factories. Ms. Richardson would definitely not refuse such an offer!”
“Mr. Swanson really went all out just to attract talent! Such sincerity-filled actions like these must have moved Ms. Richardson deeply!”
“The people in the team can all earn over 500, 000 dollars, this kind of benefit has already surpassed our peers. Ms. Richardson is probably going to sign the contract on the spot and start working at the Swanson’s Group tomorrow!”
Milo walked up to Rose with a glass of wine, sneering, “See that? That’s real power. What use is it for you to acquire a pharmaceutical factory when you can’t have top-tier teams like Ms. Richardson?”
“I told you before, what I want will eventually belong to me.”
“Dragon Bone Pill and Davies’ Pharmaceuticals are mine! Just wait for them to be acquired or go bankrupt again!”
River also came up with a playful smile and sneered, “Do you know why I transferred my loyalty to the Swanson family this time? They offer more money and have stronger power!”
“Six years ago, Mr. Swanson approached me promising that as long as my family worked for him, he would allocate 10 million dollars annually and give us countless resources!”
“People die for wealth just like birds die for food. My family naturally wouldn’t refuse!”
“It’s only someone like you who was kept in the dark for six years without suspecting anything about me even after bankruptcy; really stupid idiot.”
Rose remained indifferent and said calmly, “Do you still remember what I said back then? To me, kindness deserves gratitude while enmity deserves revenge.”
After hearing Rose’ words, River felt cold inside but immediately laughed, “You want revenge? Haha do you think I’ll give you an opportunity?”
“You’re just a small flame that can be extinguished by blowing air from the Swanson family,” he continued.
“So don’t act tough here. Quietly watch Ms. Richardson join the Swanson’s Group then leave while envying their success.”
However…
“Mr. Swanson, there seems to be some misunderstanding here,” Katrina politely smiled before loudly announcing. “I’m not here because of your company,” she continued.
“I am bringing my team over to join Ms. Sharp’s recently acquired Davies’ Pharmaceuticals!”
Boom! This sentence was equivalent to thunder on a clear day which left everyone stunned.
“Ms. Richardson, are you joking right?” Braiden exclaimed in shock.
“You’re not satisfied with this annual salary?” he asked incredulously.
“We can negotiate salaries! If 3 million isn’t enough we could make it 5 million instead since money is no issue at the Swanson’s Group.”
Katrina shook her head and said, “Mr. Swanson, I don’t need money, I need opportunities.”
“Your team is already top-notch. Even if I join your team, it won’t help much and might even limit my own development.”
“I need an organization that I can lead myself and unleash the potential of my subordinates!”
After speaking, she walked to Rose’s side in silence and smiled.
“Ms. Sharp, my father used to have a good relationship with your father before. I also admire your character and ability!”
“When I was at Eahta those years ago, I always hoped that one day we could work together. But then I heard the news of the Sharp’s Group bankruptcy which made me very sad!”
“This time you are rebuilding the pharmaceutical factory and once again offering me a challenging job opportunity so when you called me today, I agreed immediately!”
“I hope we can support each other for mutual progress. Moreover, hoping you can win Niarak again to revive the Sharp family’s glory!”
It was Rose who called her on the phone instead of Flynn.
Katrina knew that Flynn wanted to be a green leaf accompanying Rose at this banquet.
So she gave all her compliments to Rose instead.
“Thank you Ms. Richardson! Welcome aboard!” Rose’s heart was churning like waves in an ocean.
Although Katrina’s words were impeccable, there must be some reason behind it from Flynn!
This guy had some skills!
Katrina smiled faintly, “Ms. Sharp, I’m going back to Eahta now to bring my team over here, so I won’t stay here with you any longer.”
She nodded at Rose before leaving the mansion.

Layla thought to herself as she glanced at Rose.
