Adams POV
I’ve really got her now. There’s no way she can get out of this one.
I dragged her closer to me and forced a kiss on her lips. Even if she didn’t kiss back it felt great so I believed I could take it to the next step. I raised her dress up but she jerked it down.
“Come on baby, let me in…” I whispered while kissing her.
I forced the dress up and pressed harder against her body and enjoyed the hot sensation I felt.
A knock came on the door and she suddenly pushed me away from herself.
“Who’s there?” I asked.
“It’s Dave.” The voice said.
“Dave!?” Anna screamed in great surprise.
She quickly set up her dress the way it was before I touched her. I also cleaned myself up.
I thought she said that Dave was admitted to the hospital, So how come he is here? Is it possible she came here undercover of Dave being sick so I could touch her? And here she was trying to pretend she didn’t want me.
It’s too bad the fun was over so soon. I was ready to tear her apart right on my desk.
“Come in.” I said after I and Anna were ready.
Dave came in looking so weak and pale.
“Dave! What are you doing here?! You’re supposed to be in the hospital right now!” Anna panicked.
He fell into his mother’s arms and murmured some things to her.
“Mother… I woke up… You weren’t in the… Hospital.” He said.
“I’m so sorry Dave. I won’t leave you again. It’s just that I had to take permission from your boss here so you could still get back to your job after recovery. If I didn’t come here you could have gotten fired or replaced for your absence. Please don’t do this again. It’s not right.” Anna explained.
“How did you come out of the hospital anyway? I don’t think the doctor would have allowed you out without calling me first.” Anna asked.
“The doctor didn’t. I tried to get him to let me leave… He paid deaf ears to me… I snuck out when he wasn’t paying attention and I came here in a cab…” Dave explained.
“Okay but please don’t do that again.” Anna said.
They hugged each other and then left my office.
I can’t believe this actually just happened in my presence.
The moment her son comes in, it’s just like I don’t exist. It was just like I wasn’t even here.
Well, I guess that’s how much she loves her son. First things first, I’ve given him my permission since his mother has made me happy today.
Next time I’ll get her full body on a bed.
Dave POV
Mother took me back to the hospital and I lay back on the bed.
She sat beside my bed holding my hand. I turned to her face but she turned her face away almost immediately.
“Mother what’s wrong?” I asked.
“It’s nothing son. I just want you to get well soon. I don’t know what I would do if I loose you.” She said.
“You won’t loose me mother. I’ll get better and make you proud.” I said and smiled at her.
She didn’t smile back. She just kept staring at nothing in particular.
I don’t know but, I felt like my mother is in some kind of trouble. I kept trying to forget that feeling. I kept trying to push the feeling of loosing my mother away but the feeling came in so strong.
I don’t know what to do but I decided to keep this strange feeling to myself.
Nothing will happen to my mother, not while I’m still alive.
Anna POV
I couldn’t even dare look my son in the face, talk less of looking at his eyes.
What I did back there was a very shameful act.
How could I do that? Why did I let lust take over my mind? I should have controlled myself but I didn’t.
I feel like this mere act of mine has landed me in a great big bad situation that I can’t get out of no matter what I do.
I feel like something bad is going to happen to me soon.
I pray that my son gets a good future, he shouldn’t ever pass through all the pains I passed through in this life.
I can’t even bring myself to tell him what his boss’s true colours are.
Adams POV
“Yeah. Right here in my office. I almost gave it to her on my desk.” I replied to Johnson.
“Wow that’s great. Good to see that you still got it in you.” He said.
“I knew she’s just being playing hard to get.” I said.
“Ha ha. You could have actually won the bet if not that the time is up. I guess that time was on my side.” Johnson said.
“I remember back then in high school. We were the center of attention among the ladies. It actually felt good to just flirt around instead of actually dating them for marriage.” I said.
“And yet here we are.” He said and we both laughed.
“Well. Why not? You don’t expect us to be single forever do you?” I asked.
“Actually Adams, with the way we lived our lives in the past, one would think that we’d never get married.” Johnson said.
“I actually agree with you on that one. I’m very happy that it turned out to be quite the opposite.” I said.
“That’s true. I’m very happy about that too.” Johnson said.
“I still can’t believe you actually found time to come and see me here in my company.” I said.
“What are friends for? And besides, I’ll be traveling today and my flight is this evening. You know I don’t like to be away from my Mrs at all right?”
“Yes. I know that very well about you.” I replied.
“Okay. I’ll be taking my leave now.” Johnson said and he stands up.
“Okay. Thanks again for coming.” I said and shake hands with him.
Johnson leaves and I continue with the work I was doing before he came.
