Anna POV
Dave finally stopped crying and calmed down to tell me what had happened.
“It’s Mr Adams. He has totally changed overnight.” Dave said.
“Changed? How do you mean? Is he the reason you are crying?” I asked without waiting for a reply.
“He’s now very mean to me.” Dave said.
“What did he do?” I asked.
“Mother. He sent me for coffee and when I brought it to him he spat it on my face and complained that he didn’t ask for sugar.” Dave replied.
“That’s a very bad thing for him to do. But then why did you add sugar to his coffee?” I asked.
“Mother. It’s not my fault. He has always had his coffee with sugar. I don’t know what changed all of a sudden.” Dave replied.
“It’s okay Dave. Everything will be alright. I’ll go and speak with Mr Adams tomorrow.” I assured him.
“Thank you mother.” Dave said.
“No problem. I can do anything for my son.” I replied.
Dave wasn’t sure but he felt that he should probably just leave out the part that Mr Adams humiliated him in front of all the other employees.
I know that what I’m doing is risky. I’m going straight into the lion’s den. No matter what it is I must be strong. I have to talk to Mr Adams about the way he treated my son, even though I stand at a risk of being followed around by Mr Adams again.

The next day, Dave woke up with a serious headache and his body was very hot. He could hardly get up from bed and also felt dizzy.
Anna, his mother, went to his room to wake him up because he had to go to work and time was running out.
Anna calls his name first but when she got no reply she opened the door and went in.
She sees Dave lying in bed and shivering, with his eyes red. She panics as she checks his body temperature which was very hot.
She decides to take him to the hospital so that doctors can check on him.
Anna first goes outside to stop a cab but luckily for her Mr Charles had arrived that very moment and helped her take Dave to the hospital.
Mr Charles and Anna wait for the test results and it turned out that Dave was seriously ill. The doctor advises that Dave gets admitted into the hospital for proper treatment.
Anna agrees to what the doctor said and tells him to make sure that her son should get well as soon as possible. The doctor assures her of the best treatment and she stayed back for sometime with her son.
Mr Charles then tells her he had to go and was already late for work. Anna asked him to take her with him so that she can take permission from Mr Adams for her son’s absence from work and he agreed. They arrived at the company and Mr Charles pointed to Mr Adams’ office and then went to his seat.
Anna POV
I can’t believe I’m actually here at Mr Adams’ company. I knocked on the door to his office.
“Who is that disturbing my peace now?” He said from within.
“Come in only if you have an appointment.” He added.
“I only came to take permission on my son’s behave sir. He is very sick and has already been admitted to the hospital. I’m Dave’s mother.
” Well why didn’t you say so? Come right in babe.” He said.
I was immediately irritated by his response but I went in anyways. I don’t want any trouble.
“Baby. What brings you to my company today?” He asked.
You have to be kidding me. Didn’t I just tell him that my son had been admitted to a hospital? I hesitated to answer but I did anyways.
“My son is very sick and he has been admitted into a hospital.” I replied.
“Have a seat babe.” He said and I sat down.
“May I interest you in some coffee?” He asked.
Oh my God. Did this man hear nothing I said? He might just be mad.
“I didn’t come here for coffee. I came her only because my son is sick and in the hospital. I want to take permission on his behalf.” I said.
“It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t spend some time with me. I mean, it’s been a long time I ever touched a woman. I’ve been so occupied by work but now…” He said and stood up from his seat.
He leaned closer to me and whispered into my ears.
“Let’s get naked baby.” He whispered.
I immediately stood up and made to leave. I couldn’t stay even a minute longer or else I might just do something drastic but he held my hand.
I couldn’t loosen his grip on my hand so but I kept struggling.
“Let go of my hand.” I said.
“No. Not until you give me what I want.” He said.
“Mr Adams, I don’t have any form of feelings for you so just stop trying to force things with me. I don’t love you one bit.” I said.
“Who said anything about love? I only want your body and that’s it. I see you dressed sexy to come over and meet me.” He said.
“I’m not interested in any of the things you want so just released my hand.” I said.
“Come on babe, don’t reject the sensations you are getting right now. I already know that part of you wants this to happen. Just give it a chance. I’ll make you feel pleasure that no other man can make you feel.” He said.
Adams wasn’t wrong when he said part of me wants it to happen. I’m a woman after all and I also no longer have a husband. I haven’t even get the touch of man for a long time now and it was stressful.
What should I do now? Continue resisting his attempts at me or accept what my body wants?
