“I thought you already left, what are you doing here?” He asked sarcastically, as he walked over to the dresser, while still drying his hair with the white towel in his hand. Sitting on the chair, he waited patiently for her to state why she came back, and when he heard nothing, he was forced to glance at her, only to find her staring at him.
“Did you come here to drool?” He voiced out, his voice emitting the usual dark aura, and she pursed her lips as she turned her gaze away. She came for something important, but she got lost in his world again. She couldn’t help wondering how someone can be so good looking, she wished she wakes up one and find her dreams come true, that’ll be the happiest day of her life.
“I’m… I’m sorry.” She apologized, and he stared at her for seconds before taking his attention back to the mirror. He could see how disturbed she was, but he wasn’t ready to ask her what the problem was, as he didn’t want her to think that he cares about her.
“Uhm… uhm… I want to attend Beverly Hills.” She finally said, and he was forced to stop what he was doing as her words sank into his head. Silence assumed the air, as he stared at his reflection on the mirror, trying to comprehend what she just said.
“OK…” He shrugged like it was nothing. To him, it was her decision and he wasn’t ready to meddle into her affairs.
“Kai…” She called tenderly while staring at him with so much emotions rushing through her.
“Hmm?” He answered, his gaze fixated on the mirror.
“I… I… I love you.” She finally said and pursed her lips. She had always wanted to tell him this, she had been nursing feelings for him for so long, but she was still hoping that one day, he’d notice her feelings and return it, but she was tired of waiting. Even if she was going to be rejected, she didn’t care anymore as she was ready to accept whatever came her way.
“I don’t do love, Lisa. Don’t push it.” He said with his voice void of emotions like it was nothing. He wasn’t surprised as he had always known that she had feelings for him, but too bad that he isn’t a fan of love. He stood up and started walking toward his closet but stopped on his track as her words echoed in the room.
“I’m not asking to be loved in return…, am I permitted to at least love you?” She said as she sprang up to her feet, waiting eagerly for what he was going to say. Even if it was going to be difficult for her, even if the one-sided love was going to hurt her, she could only do that, she was ready to sacrifice anything for his sake, she was ready to do anything to be with him.
He sighed deeply as he closed his eyes in frustration, her words ringing in his head. He wished he could grant her wish, he wished he could at least let her love him as she demanded, but then she couldn’t help being scared, not because he may end up falling for her, but the fact that she will sure end up asking for more, which he would never give in to, even if it meant the last thing he would do before death.
“I… I… I understand you don’t love, I’m not going to ask for more, all I want is to be with you and not anyone else, I don’t care if you love me or not, as long as I do love you that’s all that matters, my love for you is enough for the two of us. I know what I’m asking is difficult, but I hope you can give us a chance.” She pushed harder, praying that he gives her a positive reply.
Silence assumed the air, as he stood staring into space, his mind occupied with so many thoughts, he had always known that she loved him but he never imagined she would go this extent.
Ignoring her, he walked over to his closet and threw it opened, revealing his black clothes with no other colors. Black have always been his favorite color, and so he doesn’t use any clothes other than black. Picking out a pair of black velvet trousers and a black polo shirt, he walked into his dressing room and changed into them, then wore his black designer loafers before coming out of the room to meet her still standing.
Stepping out of the dressing room, looking all hot in his outfit which fitted him perfectly, she was left drooling over him, admiring everything about him. Why can’t she have this man all to himself? Why does it seem like they’re close but yet far away from each other? Why is it just so difficult to be close to him? Those were the questions that kept flooding her mind without an answer. She watched as he sprayed some perfume on his perfect body, then wore his expensive wristwatch and ring, and after he was done, he finally picked his black sunglass which was laying beautifully on the dressing table, before wearing it.
He turned around and started walking toward the door like he didn’t notice her presence, and once he pulled the door opened, he stopped abruptly, not sparing her a glance.
“If your going to Beverly Hills has something to do with me, I advise you to keep your distance from me. I hate being bothered, and you know what’ll happen if you dare to piss me off. Don’t forget to close the door on your way out.” He said, ignoring everything she said, and with that he stride elegantly out of the room egoistically, carrying his shoulders.
She staggered back, until her back crashed against the wall, as the tears she had been holding back finally found their way out of her eyes. Her chest tightened in pain, it hurts to be rejected, but she wasn’t going to give up, she loves him so much to give up on him, she was going to fight for her love for him…
