Her mouth trembled as she stared in the direction that the car went, as tears welled up in her eyes. She couldn’t believe that her precious hairpin was gone, she couldn’t believe that the gift her dad gave her before his death, which she had always protected was gone. Her tears finally found their way out of her eyes, as she slowly clenched her fist anger rushing through her.
“Come on Lilly, we got…” Nina was saying, but before she could finish her statement she already zoomed off to the direction where the hairpin was thrown to.
She jumped into the gutter and started looking for the hairpin praying that she found it, but it seem like a dream that’ll never come through for her. She was still searching for the hairpin, when a car drove pass her and split mud water right on her face.
“Oh my God!” Nina, who had been trying to stop her, gasped sharply as her eyes widened in shock.
A drop of tears slid down her cheeks, as she closed her eyes with water dripping from her wet hair to her toes as she now looked horrible. Memories of years ago flashed through her mind. That day, her dad had bought her the hairpin as a birthday gift before he went out, but never came back alive. Even if it was years now, the incident was still fresh in her mind, how everything happened was just like a dream to her, and it hurts…
Kai POV
Her image kept flashing through my mind and I just couldn’t help the scoff that tore through my throat. She dared to slap me, is she a joker? She’s sure going to pay for that, she’ll regret that I bet.
Two arms hugged me from behind and I sighed softly, knowing who it was. Of course I already felt her scent even before she got to me. Her head rested on my back, giving me the usual feeling.
“Lisa…” I called in between a sigh before turning to face her, as she stared up at me, her pale blue eyes looking as beautiful as usual. Lisa have been my sex toy for some years now, not just any sex toy, but my favorite one. She knows best how to satisfy on bed, she’s a pro and the only one that makes me feel better on bed. I know she wants more than being just sex partner, I’m aware of her feelings for me, but hell no! I don’t do love shit, I’ve never fallen in love in my whole centuries of existence, neither am I ever planning to. “I’ve told you to call me by name when we’re together.” I said with my face void of emotions as usual. I’m not a fan of smiling, I’m always serious and not a tender person.
Her smiled widened. I wish I could fulfill her wish of being with her, I wish I can but I don’t have a heart, I can’t love and even if I have one, I would never love anyone, I’m better off without them.
“You look disturbed, are you ok?” She asked, as she finally pulled away from me, and I just nodded before turning to stare at the sky, my hands resting on the rail of the terrace as my thoughts were occupied.
“Kai I…”
“I want to be alone.” I said coldly, not sparing her a glance. This is who I am, my mood changes every minute. She sighed and bowed before leaving.
The sound of my ringing phone brought me back to reality, and reaching out to it, I found Miguel as the caller.
“Shoot!” I said as soon as I picked the call.
“The application is all done, it needs just your signature to seal everything. I’ll bring the forms to you in a few minutes.” He said from the other end, and I nodded like he was seeing me, before I finally ended the call. Wondering what he was talking about? Well, staying back here in the den all day doing nothing and just seeing those vampires faces is becoming boring, and to avoid being bored, I asked to ve admitted as a student in the famous college, Beverly Hills. I’ve heard so much about the school, not that I’m going there to learn, but just to get to know humans more, and have fun out there, nothing more.
I turned around and walked back into my room, and as soon as I got in I dashed into the bathroom. Stripping out of my clothes, I got under the jacuzzi, as I let the water touched and sooth my body. After I have spent almost forever in the bathtub, I finally left to go wash off the foam on my body. After I was done, I wore my robe before walking back into my room, but stopped in my track with my hand holding a towel to my head, as I was welcomed by Lisa, sitting on my bed. What! What’s she doing here?…
