Chapter 64 This Is The Consequence!

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-6-4

As the self-proclaimed King of the Underworld, why would Flynn be interested in such a small amount of money?
The six elders at the heart of the empire had granted him control over 300, 000 troops in West and bestowed upon him the title of Shelon King, Supreme General of Celestial Strategies.
Nate, a top general in Dragon Cavalry, came bearing gifts to ask for Flynn to marry his daughter.
Several top-tier clan leaders went through great lengths to travel to Demon Island and promised billions if Flynn agreed to become their patron. But he refused them all.
If he really needed money, he could just whip up a few paintings overnight and sell them for tens of millions on the market without anyone else’s help.
The Pearce family didn’t believe him and even joined forces with the Richardson family to mock Flynn. Why bother with them anymore?
“Countless people? Begging you to accept?” Katrina laughed as if she heard a big joke. “Hey! Wake up! Are you dreaming during broad daylight?”
Jaxson also chuckled when he heard what Flynn said. “Katrina, you might have misunderstood. This young man is talking about Zimbabwean dollars, not Ostrad currency.”
“The Zimbabwean dollar has depreciated severely; 10 million dollars there can only buy a box of matches,” Jaxson continued teasingly. “Perhaps someone will send him several truckloads of this after one phone call!”
Katrina sneered at his comment, “Why go through so much trouble with trucks when you can just call a funeral home for 10 million?”
“You can write ten billion on one piece of hell banknote; whatever amount you want is yours!” she added threateningly as her face turned cold. “I don’t have time for idle chatter; you must come with me to the Pearce family’s Mansion and admit that you’re nothing but a fraud before everyone.”
The Pearce family blindly trusted Flynn and had been waiting for him to cure Callie’s illness. She went through great lengths to invite her teacher over, but was rejected and left feeling ashamed. She believed that Flynn was the cause of all this.
“What if I don’t go?” Flynn’s eyes turned frosty as he asked indifferently.
“Not go?” Katrina seemed to have already known that Flynn would refuse, so she didn’t get too angry and sneered, “I am a PhD from Eahta Medical University and also the daughter of the city’s mayor.”
“You are from the Kaur family, right? I heard you’re even a son-in-law.”
As she spoke, her voice paused for a moment, with an even more disdainful expression on her face.
“The Kaur family seems like a third-tier clan with Kuar Investment Group under its banner. They should be running around various government agencies in the city quite often!”
“If I give these government agencies a heads up about taking care of the Kaur Family, what do you think they will do?”
Her voice carried strong threats.
Flynn’s face couldn’t help but darken as he coldly said, “Do you know what consequences this will bring?”
“Consequences?” Katrina was stunned after hearing it before continuing disdainfully, “You want to know what consequences there are? Alright! Let me tell you!”
After speaking, she walked over to an environmental worker and smiled as she asked, “Hey, what is your name?”
The old woman who was sweeping replied, “My name is Kendra Holder. Missy, do you need something?”
Katrina waved her hand and dialed the number for the sanitation bureau. After putting it on speakerphone, she spoke into the receiver.
“Is this Director Foster of the Sanitation Bureau? This is Katrina. There’s a sanitation worker named Kendra Holder at Amber Route.”
“I don’t like her. Fire her immediately!”
“Okay, Miss Richardson. I’ll fire her right away,” said Director Foster in a fawning tone.
Boom!
The old woman was startled and dropped her broom. She asked angrily and incredulously, “What do you mean by this?”
“You can’t just fire me because you don’t like me! That’s bullying!”
After stopping a patrol car and identifying herself, Katrina pointed at the old woman and said to the police officer, “This old lady hit me! Lock her up for two months!”
“Don’t worry, Miss Richardson. I’ll arrest her right away!” The officer got out of his car and immediately took the old woman into custody.
“Ahh!” The old woman was scared to tears as she explained quickly, “I didn’t hit her! I didn’t even touch her!”
“I’m sorry, miss! Please let me go! My husband is bedridden with illness, my two sons are unfilial, and we rely on this job to make ends meet!” she pleaded desperately.
But Katrina remained unmoved with arms crossed over chest as if looking down upon an ant.
The officers put the old lady in their car before driving off into distance.
After finishing her business, Katrina strutted over to Flynn with a smug look on her face.
“Did you see that? I got the old lady fired. She’s out of a job now.”
“That old bag didn’t even put up a fight. I just let her go in.”
“And this is the result!”
“To me, you and her are no different – just insignificant ants.”
“I’ll do whatever I want with whoever I want!”
Flynn’s face darkened and his eyes turned icy.
“What? You still have something to say?” Katrina sneered. “Fine! Let me show you again.”
She stood outside the Niarak International Hotel and shouted, “My name is Katrina Richardson! Get your manager to come see me right now!”
The manager rushed out when he saw it was the daughter of the city mayor and immediately bowed his head.
Katrina looked down on him coldly. “You guys just served a customer that I hate. I’m angry about it – shut down for three days!”
The manager was taken aback but quickly nodded before returning to the lobby.
Soon after, all of the customers left – including some famous people who had complaints but shut their mouths when they saw Katrina.
“I knew it was Miss Richardson. Who the hell made you angry? Let me teach them a lesson for you!”
“Who doesn’t know that Miss Richardson is the daughter of the city’s mayor? How dare anyone mess with you?”
“Miss Richardson, when are you free? Let me take you out to dinner!”
Everyone greeted her with smiles.
“You see that? Whatever I say goes! Everyone has to give me face!”
“If you don’t come with me to the Pearce family, the Kaur family will end up like this hotel.”
“I’ll make sure it opens only when I want it to open!”
“If anyone dares to argue, not only will the Kaur family never do business again, they’ll also end up in jail.”
Katrina confidently walked over to Flynn and said slowly and deliberately, “I’m asking you, are you going or not?”
She was like a noble queen, raising her head arrogantly and looking at him disdainfully.
Flynn gave a cold smile and said indifferently, “Fine! Since you’re so concerned about face, I’ll give it to you.”
“But just be warned. When I ask for that face back from you later on, be prepared to kneel down and hand it over!”
