“Kneeling to return it?” Katrina was taken aback, then burst out laughing. “Whether you return it or not, what face can a son-in-law from a third-rate family give me?”
“You can only obey unconditionally!”
After saying that, she turned to Jaxson and asked, “Mr. Gray, shall we go after dinner?”
“No need!” Jaxson waved his hand. “Curing Callie Pearce’s illness will only take a moment.”
He gave Flynn a cold glance and walked straight towards the car.
“This con artist has gotten too deep into character and really thinks he’s someone important!”
“Katrina is the daughter of the city’s mayor; I have to give her some face.”
“But this guy has no respect whatsoever. His face is full of disdain, his expression icy cold – he acts like he’s royalty.”
“Who do you think you are?”
“Just an ex-convict who was in forced labor!”
“A son-in-law from a third-rate family!”
“Who gave you the courage?”
Jaxson was already boiling with anger, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got.
He was a senior professor at Eahta School of Medicine, an expert in internal medicine and had cured countless difficult and complicated diseases using traditional medicine and acupuncture. He had even reversed the condition of three cancer patients in mid-stage with his treatments, causing a sensation.
With such credentials, why wasn’t he welcomed everywhere as an honored guest?
Today because of this scammer, he was refused entry into the Pearce family’s mansion! How could he not be angry?
“You Pearce family think I’m inferior to Flynn? I’ll prove you wrong! I’ll slap all your faces hard!” Jaxson fumed.
Soon they arrived at the Pearce family’s Mansion. The mayor Travis received a call from his daughter and rushed over too.
Elis led Flynn into the living room and quickly asked someone to prepare tea for them. Katrina saw this scene with jealousy in her heart and said coldly, “Mr. Pearce, there’s no need to be so polite. Flynn came here just to tell you that he can’t cure Callie’s illness.”
Everyone was stunned by her words.
Elis couldn’t believe it, “Mr. Clark, you really can’t cure my granddaughter’s illness?”
Brandon had a gloomy expression. The rest of the Pearce family gathered around him, looking very worried.
Flynn shook his head and didn’t say anything.
Katrina laughed and said, “Don’t ask him anything. I caught him cheating and he’s too embarrassed to speak.”
Jasper, the second eldest son, shook his head in disbelief. “Mr. Clark lives on Plenilune Mountain. How could someone who can afford to live there be a cheat?”
“And Edwin is always respectful in front of Mr. Clark,” added another member of the Pearce family.
Everyone nodded in agreement with Jasper’s assessment.
“That’s just how clever he is!” explained Katrina. “If you want to cheat big money out of people, you have to package yourself well!”
“He wouldn’t be able to fool wealthy clients if he lived in an ordinary house or didn’t put on an air of sophistication,” she continued.
“The rent for Plenilune Mountain villa is over 200, 000 dollars per year! He could live off cheating you guys out of tens of millions for decades!”
“You guys and Edwin are both being fooled by appearances!” she exclaimed.
The others looked confused after hearing this explanation from Katrina. Seeing that Flynn remained silent only added more doubt to their minds.
“Mr. Pearce, Flynn has poisoned your mind too deeply,” sighed Katrina shaking her head sadly. “Think about it – if Flynn really had such abilities as you claim then why wouldn’t he accept 10 million as compensation?”
“Because he’s afraid of revealing his true intentions!”
“This guy knows how to avoid risks and won’t cause trouble here! It shows that he’s very smart!”
After some explanation, the group became more skeptical.
Katrina’s words made some sense.
That was a reward of 10 million dollar!
If Flynn had the ability, why wouldn’t he take it?
Seeing that the Pearce family was silent, Katrina knew they were starting to doubt Flynn. So she said to Elis, “Mr. Pearce, this is Professor Gray, my doctoral advisor and also a successor of Crimson Dragon Needle!”
“As long as he takes action, Callie’s illness can definitely be cured!”
Jaxson looked proud and said, “That’s right! I only mastered twelve needle techniques of Crimson Dragon Needle before.”
“After two years in seclusion and comprehending the remaining six needle techniques of Crimson Dragon Needle, curing Miss Pearce’s illness is just a matter of minutes for me now!”
Flynn was stunned when he heard this.
Crimson Dragon Needle only had seventeen needle techniques and only he knew them. How did Jaxson comprehend eighteen needle techniques?
It was obvious that Jaxson had gone mad.
He would have been lucky if Callie didn’t die from his random guessing with acupuncture!
