As I resume my training, I find myself facing a similar scenario, only this time it’s my father, not Dylan.
“Will you hit me too?” He provocatively asks, his gaze lingering suggestively on my body. I quickly grab his hands and push him away.
“What audacity!” He seethes, but his demeanor softens as he approaches me again. “Well, I doubt any wolf would want to mate with you.”
“Why?” I inquire, feeling a twinge of unease at his words but compelled to engage.
“Look at how you attacked a fellow wolf just for flirting with you.” He points out.
I shrug my shoulders defiantly and fix him with a steely glare. “So what? He spanked me. He spanked my ass, Dad.” I retort, gesturing to my rear.
“Your ass is soft and rebounds easily from any slap. He probably expected that.” He explains. “It’s not entirely his fault. He’s a man. You owe him an apology.”
“That’s your opinion.” I retort, dismissing his perspective, and return to my training.
“You refuse to apologize?” He asks, growing increasingly irritated.
“I won’t. I need to focus on my training. Besides, I’m bored.” I inform him, offering a wink before immersing myself in my exercises.
Despite my refusal, he continues to spank me repeatedly, causing my ass to heat up uncomfortably.
“What the hell!” I exclaim, slapping him back in retaliation, unable to control my anger until Tiana intervenes, saddened by my resorting to violence.
Tiana’s intervention calms the situation momentarily as she leads my father away, but the tension escalates when other wolves confront me for my actions. Anger boils within me as they surround me, their accusations fueling my rage.
Without hesitation, I shift into my wolf form, towering over them in a menacing stance. They attempt to attack, but I swiftly retaliate, tearing into their flesh with primal ferocity until they retreat, bloodied and wounded.
“Stop it!!” Someone shouts, and the force of their command shifts me back into human form. I collapse to the ground, panting heavily, my eyes fixed on the injured wolves.
“Know who to challenge next time.” I warn them, my voice dripping with a mix of defiance and exhaustion, before retreating to the safety of my room.
As I lean against the door, struggling to catch my breath, I sink to my knees in a mix of disbelief and exhaustion.
“Damn.” I mutter, my heart still racing uncontrollably. With trembling hands, I clutch at my chest, trying to calm the rapid beats as I finally allow myself to rest.
I hear a slight knock on the door but I don’t respond to it. I drift off and wake up to see someone beside me.
I kiss him softly before I realize who it is. I bulge my eyes and see that it is Dad.
“Damn. Why did you come to my room?” I ask, suddenly feeling scared. I then see him in boxers, feeling pleasure. I look at him and hope it’s not what I’m thinking.
“Dad, did you have sex with me?” I ask, straight away.
“I didn’t. I only wanted to see your reaction. You can check below you though to confirm.”
I rush to the restroom to check and sigh once I realize it is intact. I chuckle at my reaction and instead of returning to him, I run outside to chat with some people.
Can’t Dad have sex with his new Luna again? Seems he’s getting horny and more horny by the minute. Well, I see a group of wolves discussing a thing in a particular corner. I creep behind them and nudge one of them. He lifts his foot and accidentally kicks my jaw. I wince in pain as he rushes to help me, rubbing my jaw and giving me a sideways hug.
“I’m fine, I’m good.” I say, detaching myself from the hug. My feelings for Alexander have grown so strong that I find myself seeing other guys as potential threats or deceivers.
“Do you want to know what we’re discussing?” The guy asks.
“Why did you ask?” My voice is flat.
“I knew that’s why you came. Do you, yes or no?”
“Yes.” I say, nodding my head. I decide to be straightforward. “What’s it about?”
“It’s about the new Luna. She brought a lot of money and goodies with her. She wouldn’t share any with us, so we want to take them by force.” He explains as others take their seats on the grassy floor. I sit beside him, realizing he doesn’t understand the significance of my choice. Sitting beside guys is something I typically avoid.
“We want to massacre her. And it’s best if you cooperate with us.” He says, prompting me to promise agreement while planning to inform Tiana later. “Before we discuss how, do you agree?”
“Yes, I do.” I say, and we chop our knuckles.
“That’s fine. Wonderful.” He comments, calling his group over. “Guys, come over!”
As they gather around, he continues, “So, we’re actually going to kill her and put the blame on the Alpha so he’d be dethroned.” I grasp the situation. These are the individuals strongly opposed to the Alpha. They could become my allies. It’s the reason I traveled so far, despite being met with insults. I keep my composure, refraining from reacting or speaking out.
“We’ll access her room through the roof carefully. I’ve already weakened their ceilings. Once we’re inside, either with a ladder or wearing light shoes, we’ll administer a dose of sleep wolfsbane to the Alpha.” He explains.
“You want to harm my dad?” I object.
“No, just put him to sleep.” He insists. “Do you understand?”
I nod, signaling for him to continue.
“Once he’s unconscious despite any noise, we’ll approach Tiana. If she seems receptive, we’ll have our way with her and then kill her on the spot, leaving the knife in Thompson’s possession to make it look like he stabbed her.”
“So you plan to frame my dad, and you’re telling me this?” I reject the idea, but one of them scolds me for my opposition.
Feeling threatened by their warning, I nod reluctantly, signaling my readiness to comply. The guy seems pleased with my apparent agreement.
“It’s late already. We’ll carry out the plan at midnight. Until then, three of you should shadow Lisa to ensure she doesn’t divulge our secrets and plans.” He instructs, chuckling.
“I don’t want that.” I object. “I’ll keep the secret. Don’t worry about any consequences; they won’t materialize.” I convince them, and we disperse.
Heading towards my room, I abruptly change course and approach the Alpha’s personal quarters, knocking on the door.
As I open the latch and enter, I see Tiana seated, radiating happiness. It’s disheartening to witness her joy while unaware of the looming danger.
“I’d love to speak with the Luna privately.” I state, noticing my dad’s expression shift.
“I didn’t come to see you, Dad. Please, leave her. She has autonomy over her own body.” I assert.
“Just a minute, please.” Tiana requests, then hurries out to meet me. We walk a short distance away so my dad won’t overhear.
“Can we talk in here?” I ask, gesturing towards the room. As we enter, I notice the three guys meant to keep an eye on me. Our eyes meet, and I’m unsure if they notice Tiana inside the room or only me. Without waiting for their reaction, I swiftly close the door and lock it, ensuring all windows are shut tight.
“Some wolves over there want to assassinate you. I had to pretend to agree with them so they wouldn’t suspect me. You were kind to me, and I couldn’t stand by and watch your downfall when I have the ability to help you resist it.” I disclose to her. She sighs in shock at the revelation.
“How true is this?” She asks.
“I’m disappointed by that question. It’s undoubtedly true.” I reply. “You’ll understand better once they come overnight and attempt to harm you.
“Don’t be harsh with your words. I appreciate you revealing this to me. I haven’t even established a solid defense as security. I need one.” She acknowledges.
“I’m afraid that might not be enough now.” I tell her bluntly.
“Then what do we do?” She asks politely.
“Exactly the question I’ve been expecting you to ask. We need to prepare ahead of them.” I suggest.
“I understand your concern, but if I avoid sleeping in my room overnight, it’ll raise suspicions, and they’ll quickly realize you told me.” Tiana points out wisely. I nod, acknowledging the validity of her point.
“Then don’t sleep in the room overnight.” I suggest. “Perhaps it’s safer if you avoid sleeping around altogether. Just find a discreet spot, maybe on the east side of the pack house near the laundry area.”
“Thank you very much. I’ll do that as soon as possible.” She replies, preparing to leave the locked room.
“Where are you headed now?” I inquire.
“To his room. The Alpha’s room.” She answers, and I chuckle.
“I’m telling you, you could sleep there. It’s probably safer than returning to your own room. But I’ve said enough. Some things are better left unsaid.” I conclude.
As I let Tiana out of the room and she hurriedly makes her way to Dad’s room, I stay behind, contemplating my escape plan. If those guys catch me, it’s over for me. Even if I manage to leave the pack house, they’ll track me down and kill me, not just injure me.
As the night grows darker, I cautiously slip out of the room and find myself behind one of the guys. I let out a sigh of relief, thankfully not attracting his attention. I quietly shut the door behind me and begin to crawl away, keeping to the shadows.
The night progresses, with some wolves already asleep while others remain awake, both for necessary and unnecessary reasons. I consider returning to the Luna’s room to warn her again, unsure if she’s left yet.
Meanwhile, the guys intensify their preparations, questioning each other about whether they’ve divulged the truth. We all deny it, and they no longer suspect anything. I do my best not to raise suspicion with my actions, blending in as much as possible.
As we set off to carry out our plan on Tiana and the Alpha, we opt for the route behind the pack house, the easiest path. I play my part, backing them up and feigning confidence in the success of our plan. Once we’re out of sight, I notice Tiana sprinting out of her room. I shake my head, hoping she reaches safety before any harm befalls her. I also hope she hasn’t informed Dad about what I told her.
Using the back door, we deliberate on using a ladder to descend to their room. They first inspect through a camera to see if the Alpha is asleep. Fortunately, it’s a body camera and not one in the room, preventing any potential confrontation over Tiana’s escape.
“Should we check for the lady?” One of them asks. I vehemently refuse, and the others agree, so we proceed to jump into the room.
