ALEX’S POV
It’s been a week since we had lunch. And since that lunch I never heard about Bryan. He did not text me or call me or even ask me about work.
‘Wait why am I sad? Isn’t that what I want? ‘ I asked myself
‘Do you really want to?’ suddenly my other brain said.
I sighed. Its funny because I knew I should be happy because I don’t need to exert an effort just to avoid him because it doesn’t makes sense now.
Suddenly something seemed to pierce my heart.
I miss him, I want to call him, see him but I can’t.
I don’t want to hurt my best friend. I know until now she still has feelings for Bryan. I could see it in her eyes. Her eyes twinkle every time she talked to Bryan, and I could see the longing in her eyes. And I feel guilty for liking Bryan.
My deep thinking was stopped when I received a text from Liz. I immediately raised an eyebrow after reading her text.
From: Sis
Sis I can’t accompany you tonight. I have a dinner meeting later. Its an emergency. Sorry sis.
I immediately gave her a reply.
To: Sis
Where are you having dinner?
She still not replying to my text message and it seriously pissing me of. So I texted her again.
To: Sis
Don’t worry I won’t go there. I just want to know where are you having dinner?
Finally she replied.
From: Sis
Circles event cafe.
Gotcha! After I found out where they were having dinner I immediately took my bag and went to the parking lot.
Of course it’s just a joke that I won’t follow. I can’t let my best friend to be with that man!

BRYAN’S POV
Gian will be having a dinner date with Liz tonight.
Yes. We planned it.
We know that once Alex finds out these two are together she will definitely follow.
And tada! I already saw her, she is in a hurry to go to the restaurant where Gian and Liz were.
Even before she could reach them I immediately pulled her and let her sat down on the table I had reserved. It’s a bit far from where Gian’s table is, but the two can still be seen.
Alex’s eyes suddenly widened when she learned that I was the one who suddenly pulled her.
“What are you doing here?” She ask still shocked from seeing me.
“I know your coming. I’m here to stop you from bothering them.” I told her.
She was stunned. “W-what did you say?”
I smirked. “Do I need to repeat myself?”
Suddenly her eyes narrowed. Obviously frustrated. I can’t help but smile. No matter what she do, she still looks so beautiful.
“You knew that they will have dinner tonight?!” She accused me!
I just nodded at her.
“And you just let them?!” Her voice rose slightly, but it did not grab other’s attention.
“Yes.” I simply said to her.
“Look Bryan. It already came from you that your friend is a playboy, the you just let him to approach Liz?!” She hissed.
“Easy ka lang Alex. Yes I know Gian’s a playboy. But believe me he’s harmless.” I said seriously.
“Harmless? Playboy but harmless? Is that even possible?” She said still pissed.
“Yes.” I calmly told her.
Its very obvious that she is really pissed and I know any moment she will out of control. That’s why I am trying hard to control myself not to laugh at her.
“You know what I can’t believe you?! You know how many girl has your friend played for and yet you let Liz to be in his list of girls?! Is she not important to you anymore?!”
“Liz is important to me. Since then until now. If someone will try and hurt her, I will be the first one who will make that person stop.” I told her is a serious tone.
Alex became silent. Wait based from her reaction maybe she had a different perception with what I just said.
I need to clear that out. I don’t want her to misunderstood my concern for Liz.
“Look Alex, Liz is important to me. Even if we already broke up, my feelings for her hasn’t changed. I still lover her… but only as a friend. And Gian’s presence is just part of the plan.” I confessed to her.
She looked stunned. “P-plan? What do you mean?”
“Gian and I made a plan. We want to help Liz to move on. Gian is not courting her, he’s helping her to move on. For us to… for us to be finally okay.” I explained to her.
Alex still look stunned.
“Hey Alex. Don’t worry about Gian okay? Let me handle him. You don’t need to pretend that you like Gian.” I told her.
“And who told you that I was just pretending?” She said coldly.
And that is a revelation.
