“Are you dating someone?”
We were all shocked by Alex’s question to Gian. Alex doesn’t really want us to notice that she likes Gian. Note on the sarcasm.
What did she like about him though? I thought she doesn’t like a playboy? Wait, did she say mentioned that she didn’t like a playboy?
“Wait a minute baby girl, your question is a bit personal.” I tried to stop her.
“Shut up grandpa! I’m talking to Gian.” She hissed.
What the?! And I am getting more annoyed with Gian because he seems to enjoy what is happening. He is grinning!
“Why are you asking me if I am dating someone? Do you like me?” Gian asked her.

ALEX’S POV
‘Do you like me?’

‘Do you like me?’
This guys is really so cocky! Yes he is hot that is why he became a playboy right?!
But excuse me?! Who the he think he is to ask me that kind of question?! As if he is my type! For your information Mr. cocky guy the person I like is… never mind the main point in here is that HE IS NOT MY TYPE!
But wait?! I think I can use this to keep him away from my best friend. Good idea Alex!
“What if I say yes?” I told him.
The three of them jaw dropped. But Gian only momentarily because he already recovered and then he gave me a smirked.
“Hmmm your not bad.” Then he look at me intently.
What did he say?! I’m not bad?! Of course I’m not bad because I am beautiful and hot! As if I will get conscious by his stares.
“I know right? So can you now tell me if you are already dating someone?” I asked a bit impatient.
He first touched her chin as if thinking.
“What if I say yes?” He said.
“Are you serious with her?” I asked him in a serious tone.
“I never had a serious one.” He shrugged.
I know right? That is why I will never allow you near my best friend!
“But I might have one now.” He added.
Is he flirting with me now? Sorry your not my type.
“I need to go.” Bryan suddenly said.
“Why are you leaving suddenly?” I asked him.
“I don’t like what I am hearing, its too cheesy.” He shrugged then he left.
But he really looked angry and pissed

BRYAN’S POV
I was not in a good mood all day so everyone is trying to avoid me.
Who wouldn’t be pissed?! Alex just confessed that he like Gian!
All I thought that what we had is a mutual understanding. Who would have thought that I am having an unrequited love on her.
I never thought that I will experience one-sided love. Never in my life that a girl rejected me. Its actually the other way around, I was the one who rejects girls.
And I will not let myself to experience one-sided love, especially that Alex is the one involved. I will do everything to win her heart. I never fall for someone as deep as this.
Ever since I met Alex I have changed a lot. It was my first time to be conscious of my actions. Because I always wanted to look my best to Alex.
I know how high Alex’s standard is, and would you believe that I felt afraid for the first time that I might not be able to meet Alex’s standard even though at that time my girlfriend is Liz?
At first I did not realize that the reason why I could do those thing is because I am already falling for her.
Alex maybe young in age but when you came to know her, you will realize how matured she is, she’s more matured than the other people I knew who is much older than her.
That is why I always call her baby girl to remind her that she’s still young and to also to remind myself.
Sometimes I often forget that I am older than her, because of her how she think and act.
My thinking was interrupted when the intercom rang.
“Yes?” I said in a formal tone.
“Sir, Mr. Fabian is here.” Chad said.
I suddenly got pissed when I heard that Gian is here. I remembered the things that happen a while ago.
“Let him in.” I said coldly.
In just a few minutes I saw Gian entering my office.
“Hey!” He greeted me.
I faced him and gave him a glared. “You have some explaining to do Gian.”
“Explain what?” He really look clueless.
“Don’t play dumb with me! What was that?! Why are you flirting with Alex?! I said angrily.
He chuckled “Easy dude. For your information she’s the one who’s flirting with me, not the other way around. .”
“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!!” I shouted.
How dare him say that to Alex? If he weren’t my friend, I would have broken his face a long time ago.
“Am I wrong? She was the one who opened up about the dating issue?” He calmly said.
“ARGH!”
“Relax. You don’t need to worry, she didn’t like me.” He said assuring me.
That got my attention. “What do you mean?”
“I think she is doing that because she want me to stay away from Liz.” He said.
I still don’t get his point. I waited for him to elaborate his explanation.
“Look dude, you know how much Alex care for Liz, she’s very protective when it comes to Liz that is also the reason why she starts to avoid you. The reason why we made this plan and that is to help Liz to moved on because we know that as long as Liz is hurting, you will never have a chance with Alex.”
“She thinks I am making a move to Liz and she was worried because she knew my image, that I’m a playboy. She’s worried that I might just add Liz on my list of girls. You finally get it now?” He explained.
“I still don’t get it!” I told him.
Really I really don’t.
“I thought you are smart? Why can’t you get it?!” He said getting irritated.
“I still don’t get it okay?! What is the connection of that with Alex’s confession that she likes you?!” I said equally pissed.
He sighed “She really did not confessed to me dude. For her to keep Liz away from me, she tried to get my attention. Did you finally get it?!”
“Why does she even need to get your attention? Don’t she think of any other way? She didn’t even think of me.” I asked annoyed.
This moron even has the mood to laugh.
“Sorry to say this dude. But I think Alex loves Liz more than she loves you. That is why she more concerned on Liz than you.”
I know how important Liz is to Alex but didn’t she think that Liz is also important to me, that if Gian has a bad plan on her I will be the first to block Gian from approaching Liz.
I sighed. “Thanks for explaining dude. I think I already know what to do”
“No problem dude.” He said then he tap my shoulder.
“And also can you stop seeing Liz?” I asked him.
He frowned. “Why?”
“For Alex’s peace of mind.” I told him.
He shook his head “I can’t bro.”
I furrowed. “Why?”
“What about you and Alex? It will be harder for you if I stop.” He said.
I sighed. Honestly I don’t know what to do.
