Amy was too familiar with this place; it used to be an orphanage!
“What are you doing here?” She followed Lucas suspiciously.
“I want to buy this place and build a holiday resort.” Lucas leaned against the car, took out a cigarette, and lit it gracefully.
Amy frowned slightly. This place had been abandoned after a big fire, so it was useless, and no one wanted to come here. The government had auctioned it off a few years ago, and her father had said that it had little commercial value.
“Amy, what did you want to be when you were a child?” Lucas’s face was blurred by the smoke, and his voice was deep.
“I wanted to be a good wife.” Amy replied casually.
Lucas chuckled lowly, his deep gaze staring at her beautiful eyes intently.
“Why are you laughing like that?” Amy felt uneasy under his laughter, feeling like she was being seen through, and quickly moved to the side.
“Amy… I really want you so deeply…” He slowly leaned over, his scorching lips brushing against her cheek, landing on her ear, and gently sucking on her earlobe.
Amy’s spine began to tingle again, forcing herself to stay calm.
“Ha, Amy…” His eyebrows relaxed, patting her cheek lightly, striding towards the ruins, pointing to the green mountains ahead, saying, “There are hot springs there, and the soil here is very suitable for growing lavender. Once developed, the holiday resort will have a special attraction.”
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll reveal your business secrets?” Amy smoothed her long hair and carefully walked among the rubble.
Lucas smiled again, reaching back and saying in a deep voice, “What’s mine is yours. Can you bear to see me lose money?”
That sounded quite appealing!
Amy hesitated for a moment, pretending to look out the window on the side, ignoring his extended hand.
“Not being obedient.” He domineeringly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms.
Amy stumbled, her thin heels caught in the rubble, and she slipped out of her shoes directly.
“Hey, are you trying to murder me?” She held onto his arm tightly, her eyes wide with shock.
“That’s the expression you had on our first night together.” Lucas raised an eyebrow.
Amy’s face instantly turned red, she shook off his hand, “Boring.”
This time Lucas didn’t pull her again. Seeing her take off her high heels and sit on a brick, trying to put the thin heel back on the shoe sole, looked quite disharmonious in the messy surroundings. But she sat quietly, with her long hair cascading down to her waist, making people want to go over and ruffle it.
A flash of dim light passed through Lucas’s eyes. He bent down, took the shoes from her hand, waved his hand, and the shoes flew away.
“Why did you do that?” Amy looked up at him.
“I want to carry you.” Lucas inserted his hands under her armpits and hoisted her up. Her soft body was lifted onto his shoulders, her long hair flowing down like a waterfall.
“It’s so uncomfortable!” Her blood rushed to her head, and she pounded on his back with both fists, “Lucas, you’re like a bandit.”
“Then just think of me as a bandit, it’s not bad to snatch a wife.” He laughed heartily, leaving Amy speechless. When she first met Lucas, she thought he was deep and mysterious, but when they were together, he always said things she couldn’t imagine.
“Are you Piggy?” She raised her eyebrows and muttered, but the next second, her body was pressed against the trunk of the car.
The two looked at each other for a moment. Amy pushed him away with one hand, trying to sit up.
But he suddenly grabbed her chin tightly, making her unable to control her mouth, and his scorching tongue went straight in, forcing her to retreat.
“Amy, you taste really good…” His breathing became heavy, not hiding his desire for her.
Amy’s mind exploded again, this kind of explicit banter, she had no defense against it at all.
“You, you shouldn’t say such things!” Her mouth felt dry, her face completely flushed.
He chuckled softly, whispering in her ear, “Do you know, I like you like this… resisting but welcoming, pretending to be innocent…”
Amy was speechless, pushing his chest hard, angrily asking, “How dare you insult me!”
“I clearly said I liked it.” His palm lightly brushed her lips.
“Lucas, do we have some sort of feud?” Amy widened her eyes, using all her strength to push him away. Could it really be a grudge left by her father? But he had passed away, so why should she bear the consequences?
“Ding ding…”
Amy’s phone rang, she got into the car, took out her phone from her bag, and Doctor Hill’s number flashed on the screen.
