“What do you mean you can get me the gown?” Vivian hungrily asked. It was after she turned and got to see how wealthy the man looked. His suit must have cost over fifteen thousand dollars and his shoes were top notch. They were probably the most expensive things Vivian had seen the whole week.
The man was no other person but Lincoln, Mr. Easton Lander’s best friend. He looked at Vivian with sexually appealing eyes. Even Vivian could see how bad he wanted to rip that mini gown she was putting on apart.
“If you do me the honor of knowing your name, I’m willing to let you have the gown without you paying a dime.”
These promising words from Lincoln echoed for a while in the ears of Vivian. The offer was so enticing but that was not all that glittered to her.
Vivian gave a very thorough thought. She was in a relationship, she knew it would not be right to do what she was already contemplating on doing. But wow, she could visage the advantage of having someone like Lincoln. She would really make great use of him.
“I’m still waiting,” Lincoln uttered with a kinky smile on his already wet lips. Wet from constant licking and smacking as he stared at Vivian’s aesthetic body.
“Vivian – my name is Vivian.”
By the time Vivian told him her name, the other person was already done paying for the dress. Lincoln saw this as the perfect opportunity to make Vivian feel what kind of authority he possessed.
“Give it to her!” Lincoln instructed the cashier.
“But Sir, the lady standing here has already paid for…”
“I’ll double the payment and I’ll also refund the buyer the money she paid for the gown.”
Wow! Vivian was impressed. She immediately felt so special.
“Why did you do that?” She asked him when they got out of the shopping mall.
“For you,” Mr. Lincoln simply answered.
“I mean, why did you do that for me?”
“Because a pretty lady like you should not be experiencing what you experienced there. You ought to be taken care of and treated exactly like a Queen…which you are.”
Vivian was flattered, she could not stop smiling.
“My boyfriend gave me the money for the gown but unfortunately, it was not enough. I wish I had known sooner, I’m sure he’d have found a way to let me have the complete money.”
Was Vivian trying to defend Ash? No! She was only trying to know what Mr. Lincoln would have to say.
“That’s total nonsense, complete bullshit!” Mr. Lincoln voiced out as if he was greatly disgusted. He continued –
“How could he only give you the money for just the gown? Doesn’t he know that a very pretty lady like you would like to get something extra in places like this? I don’t think he knows how to manage such beauty… maybe someone else should take it up from where he has failed.”
Someone else? Vivian could already tell that he was hitting on her. Nevertheless, she had to get going because it was already getting pretty late and dark.
“Let me take you home.”
Vivian refused. She knew how Ash would react if he saw a strange, luxurious vehicle dropping her off.
When Vivian left, Ash was still in her apartment. She wasn’t sure if he had already left or if he’d be waiting for her so she could test the gown in front of him. Ash liked that a lot, he always requested to see how stunning Vivian would look in a new outfit.
Mr. Lincoln kept insisting so Vivian had no other choice than to let him drop her off at home. She knew Ash would not be comfortable seeing such a luxurious car dropping her off at home.
Just as Vivian anticipated, Ash was still at home.
“Who dropped you off?”
“He’s a family friend.”
“A family friend? How come I’ve never heard of him from you before?”
“Must I tell you everything? Or do you prefer that I walk down home under the scorching sun?”
Who said anything about Vivian walking back home?
“You could have taken a cab back home, no one is saying you should walk!”
Vivian was sulking with an “I don’t believe this” stare at Ash. He was forced to apologize to Vivian. He felt he was being too sensitive and that he overreacted to the whole thing.
“I’m sorry, I was just trying to look out for…”
Vivian didn’t give him a chance to make any amends. “I think you should go home, Ash. I don’t want to have any arguments with you.”
“Listen to me, Vivian. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…”
“I said you should leave! Just leave! I don’t want to be anywhere close to you right now!”
Ivan had a very important meeting with his grandfather concerning the new deal signed by the company. It was signed in Ivan’s absence and he demanded to know why.
“What are you doing here so late, looking very anxious and worked up?” Daisy approached Ivan to ask.
She was going up the stairs when she saw him frowning in the sitting room. She knew that something was off, he could not be at the Landers’ mansion at that time if there wasn’t something serious to talk about.
“Of course, he is here to see me.” Katty climbed down the stairs.
“Gosh! Why do you always show up when you are not needed?”
“Oh! I’m needed here, Daisy. Sooner or later you’ll realize that I’m really needed here.” Katty smirked.
“I do not have time for this. Where is Grandfather?”
Ivan demanded from either of them. Before they could give an answer, Mr. Easton Landers walked into the mansion.
“Why did you do it? Why did you sign a deal in my absence?!” Ivan questioned angrily. He didn’t even give Easton the opportunity to take a seat.
“Do you really want to know the reason I did that?”
“Yes, tell me!”
Easton was going to tell him then.
