Just then, the dice cup in Evelyn’s hand made a ‘ding’ sound, quickly spreading throughout the second floor.
Everyone froze instantly.
What’s going on?
How much force did this girl use? Just now, when Wendell shook it so hard, it only made a dull sound.
Listening to the consistent sound of Evelyn’s shaking, Marcus and Wendell’s faces turned somewhat ugly.
Fortunately, Evelyn only shook it five times before tossing the dice cup into the air, letting it fall naturally and heavily onto the table.
With fifteen billion at stake, even the attendant’s hands couldn’t help but tremble lightly. He moved the dice cup away a bit, then his movement suddenly stopped. Underneath the cup, a dice revealed appeared under the sieve cup, showing two points.
Wendell and Marcus’s eyes brightened simultaneously.
The crowd couldn’t help but sneer.
“Even if the remaining dice are all ones, this girl is still doomed to lose.”
“I didn’t expect the consequences of her struggle to be beaten so badly by Wendell.”
“…”
Evelyn’s dark eyes were filled with a smile as she glanced at everyone, then spoke, “Watching a show, the worst thing is to miss the details. Your reviews came a bit early.”
With that, she suddenly kicked the attendant’s foot.
Caught off guard, the attendant stumbled, and the dice cup that had covered half of the dice moved.
When everyone saw the full view of the four dice, their eyes widened in shock, unable to utter a word.
This… was too bizarre.
The remaining three dice, upon impact, have completely wedged themselves into the table. Only a sharp corner is protruding, nothing else is visible.
So Evelyn had only two points.
Wendell had lost again!
Now everyone understood. Evelyn wasn’t just a little girl; she was a cunning fox.
Angered by being played, Marcus’s fingertip twitched, and suddenly, he had a knife in his hand, swiftly turning towards Evelyn.
Sensing danger, Evelyn asked, “What’s this? Marcus, are you trying to play dirty?”
She still had a smile on her lips, but Marcus inexplicably felt a chill in his heart. He’d lived most of his life instilling fear in others, and yet, for the first time, he was intimidated by a little girl. His intuition told him that no matter how much money he lost, he couldn’t afford to provoke this girl.
Marcus quickly sheathed the knife, “You are indeed shrewd. I couldn’t help but make a joke,” he said, motioning for Wendell to push the chips over.
Wendell hesitated, his face contorted, “Marcus, eight billion is one thing. But in the game just now, this girl’s odds were one hundred to one.”
Marcus suddenly had a bad feeling. “Someone placed a bet?”
Wendell grumbled, “The girl herself, for fifty million.”
At odds of one hundred to one, that meant fifty billion!
Marcus’s ears buzzed, and his vision momentarily darkened. Fifty billion, wasn’t that asking for his life?
As hearding the conversation, the onlookers couldn’t help but feel both envious and regretful. Why didn’t they place a bet earlier? Even ten thousand or a hundred thousand would have made them rich now.
The two guards of Noah and Hector were also dumbfounded.
In a twist of fate, Evelyn had turned into a billionaire. Did she plan this all along?
Evelyn paid no attention to the reactions of the crowd. Her sharp eyes scanned the surroundings until she spotted a familiar figure in the dark corner of the southeast. From Evelyn’s angle, she could only glimpse a twisted limp.
She smirked and suddenly spoke up, “I can forfeit the fifty billion wager.”
Upon hearing this, Marcus felt as if he were in a dream. Is this real?
Everyone’s gaze towards Evelyn became incredulous.
Marcus asked softly, “Young lady, are you serious?”
“Of course,” Evelyn nodded, “But, as a reward, Marcus, you must hand over that attendant to me.”
Her slender fingers pointed towards the corner where she had spotted the limping figure. The man realized the situation wasn’t favorable and attempted to flee, but Wendell’s men immediately rushed over to restrain him and pull him out of the shadows.
Evelyn finally saw the limp figure’s face.
It was none other than William, who had been expelled by The Martinez family and hadn’t been seen for a long time.
Well! What a small world.
Evelyn’s aura instantly transformed. Despite maintaining her enchanting appearance with a faint smile on her lips, she exuded a chilling and potentially lethal coldness.
“Hello…. William…’Good’ to see you….”
William had never seen Evelyn like this before, and he was terrified, screaming in panic, “Marcus, please don’t hand me over to this woman! She’ll kill me. Our deal with the exchange is just a job contract, not a contract of sale!”
Marcus frowned at William’s plea. He indeed didn’t have the authority to do that, but then there was the matter of the fifty billion…
