Beatrice wakes up as she dreams about what happened yesterday, but this time, in her dream, Nate dies, so she immediately searches for Nate the moment she wakes up and sees him sleeping on the couch not far from her bed.
Nate and Rayver decided to stay in her place because of what happened. Beatrice was thankful for that, as Nate was still willing to protect her.
Beatrice took a sigh of relief as she saw him sleeping peacefully. She calmed herself down and looked out the window. The sun was about to rise. Rayver and Axle will leave anytime now.
Beatrice stood from her bed and even peeked to see Nate sleeping. As she confirmed that he was asleep, she carefully exited the door and walked downstairs.
“Is that all that you gonna bring?” Beatrice heard Axle’s voice from the entertainment room. So she went there and saw them arranging some things they would bring.
“Yeah,” Rayver said, looking at Beatrice at the entertainment room door.
“You’re awake,” Rayver said, so Axle turned to look at the person he spoke with and saw his Alpha. He bows his head to give respect to his Alpha.
“Are we loud enough for you to wake this early?” Axle asked, so Beatrice smiled, shook her head, and entered the room.
“No,” Beatrice said and looked to Rayver.
“Take care.” She said, so Rayver smiled and nodded. “Axle, call me if something happens to you or Rayver,” Beatrice said, so Axle nodded.
“Where’s Nate?” Rayver asked, so Beatrice crossed her arms and leaned against the wall.
“He’s sleeping. He probably got tired last night.” Beatrice said as she remembered how Nate Rayver and Axle fixed the gate mansion Na. te changed it because the old gate was full of bullets and was already damaged.
“We will go now,” Rayver said, so Beatrice nodded and smiled at them.
“Take care.” She said she even accompanied them to exit the gate and watched them walk to the car together and drive it away. At that moment, Beatrice is left alone with Nate in her mansion, and she also gives orders to her maids to go to their families because of what happened last night.
Beatrice then closed the gate and ensured it was locked before entering her house and walking to the kitchen to cook for their breakfast.
An hour later, Beatrice finished cooking and arranging the table when Nate arrived in the kitchen.
“Good morning.” Beatrice greeted him, so he stopped and looked at the table for a second before he turned to look at Beatrice, who was busy putting some food on the table.
With that, he remembers when Beatrice used to do this for him when she was pregnant with their first baby.
“Good morning.” He greeted her back, sat on the chair before the table, and waited for her to finish what she was doing.
After waiting a few minutes, Beatrice sat beside Nate and looked at him.
“Why are you not starting to eat your food? Didn’t you like it?” Beatrice asked and started to sip her coffee. Nate smiles, shakes his head, and then holds his utensils.
“I just remembered something,” Nate said, so Beatrice’s forehead frowned. “You used to do this back when you were pregnant.” He added. Beatrice was stunned as she remembered that. A bitter smile on Nate’s lips formed, and look at Beatrice.
“I wonder if you didn’t leave me last time. We’re still together now.” He said, so Beatrice swallowed and put down his coffee.
“Don’t start a drama now.” She said in a severe voice, as if she was hurt by what he had said. The two of them were covered with Awkwardness because of what Nate said. They’re eating their food without talking to each other.
“Fuck you, Nate, why did you say those words?!” Nate cursed himself as it sank into his mind about it.
“I’m sorry,” Nate said, so Beatrice smiled at him and continued her food.
“It’s fine, past is past,” Beatrice said. Nate swallowed and wanted to punch himself for saying those lines.
A moment of silence covered them as they ate their food; Beatrice didn’t want this atmosphere, so she looked at Nate and asked him a random question.
“How’s your relationship with Eille?” Beatrice asked, so Nate looked at her; he swallowed as he didn’t know how to answer her question.
“How’s your son?” Beatrice asked again. At this point, Nate felt the sadness in her voice as she asked that question. Nate put down his utensils and looked at her.
“He’s good, I think so,” Nate said, so Beatrice frowned and laughed a little.
“What do you mean you think so?” Beatrice asked and drank her coffee. “Aren’t you giving your son time to be with him?” Beatrice asked, so Nate turned his gaze in another direction.
“I… I’m busy.” Nate said, so Beatrice put down her coffee and crossed her arms.
“You’re supposed to give him time; he’s still your child,” Beatrice said, so Nate shrugs and plays his utensils.
“I know, but… there’s a part of me that I can’t do that. I don’t know, but I just don’t feel that Caliber is my son,” Nate said, so Beatrice stopped and thought of something. She shook her head because of what she was thinking.
“How would you know that feeling if you’re probably not giving him some time?” Beatrice said, so Nate looked at her.
“If you want, you can visit him and give him some time later,” Beatrice added, so Nate shook his head.
“If I do that, then you should come with me. I can’t leave you here alone after what happened yesterday.” Nate said, so Beatrice laughed a little and thought of something before she nodded her head.
“I will watch you play with him if that’s what you want,” Beatrice said, so Nate smiled after hearing her words.
That means Beatrice will stay on his side until the day’s end. He’s with Beatrice all the day.
