Beatrice fell asleep without expecting it as her mind was blocked and occupied by the letter she had read from Rayver’s envelope. Nate entered the room with the doctor and saw that she’d fallen asleep.
“She’s sleeping again,” Nate said and noticed the white paper she was holding, so he slowly took it from her hand and looked at the doctor examining Beatrice.
“She can go home once she’s awake.” After a few minutes of examining, the doctor said Nate nodded and watched the doctor leave the room. After the doctor left the room, Nate looked at Beatrice again and took a deep breath, noticing her swollen under the eye.
Nate took this opportunity to see what was with the paper she was holding while sleeping and saw that it was a letter… A letter from Quiver for Beatrice.
Beatrice, leaving you is not my choice and is not my intention. I am writing to tell you how much I love you and how much you mean to me, as you have changed my life since the day I saw you. I will admit that in those first three days that I saw you, I imagined that you’re your twin, Margarett, and looking at you those times lessened the pain in my chest for losing her. But seeing you crying that time in the middle of the road where the rain falls down hurts my pride as I don’t like seeing any woman cry and hurt like that. And during that time, my point of view in life changed as I witnessed how you love Nate. At first, it was cool to me as I knew that you really liked him, but the day I was with you, I just wished I was Nate so I could feel your love.
The moment that I was with you, I knew the fact that your love for Nate never dies, and the moment I learned about your condition that you’re pregnant with Nate hurt my pride and, at the same time, saddened my heart as I remember that Margarett and I will have a child but never happened. As for that, I accepted you, picked you from your darkest day, and chose to be your temporary light that shreds the dark away from your heart. Knowing that you and he are getting back to each other hurts me as I admitted that I really liked you already during that time.
I was about to let you go, but after knowing what he did to you, I made up my mind to pick you again and be your rebound again. When we married each other, I thought I would be happy as you were already mine that day, yet seeing you forcefully smile in front of me made me think twice if I did a good job that time or not.
I knew that between the two of us, Nate. He will always be the one you picked as you loved him so much, and I knew I was just a rebound, a man who was forcing myself to be with you and for you to love me, Beatrice. So, I decided to let you go once again. Still, I see some changes in your actions, and it gives me the idea of you already giving me some of your love, and that made me happy, Beatrice; I am so glad about that, though destiny seems to be playful as it made us apart from each other now.
My time with you made me realize that you’re a rare gem. I am happy that even in the shortest period, God let me have you, so please don’t be sad as I made a decision to make a divorce and signed it already without you knowing it as I want you to be happy with the real man who can make you really happy, Beatrice.
I know how dumb I am for doing that. Still, I just wanted to let you know that I am doing those things not only for me but for your happiness, too, so please sign it and forget about me as I am already with Margarett up above heaven and watching you and Nate live happily ever after. Thank you for everything, my love. I loved you.
~Quiver.
Nate slowly looked at Beatrice, and the idea gradually formed in his head after he read the message. Nate swallowed and was stunned after reading the letter. He slowly sat on the nearest chair and, out of nowhere, folded the paper.
He doesn’t know how to react after what he just read from the letter. Nate and Quiver has been best friend since they were children. Knowing that Quiver died hurt him so much as he already had this idea that Quiver is his brother, not by blood but by how they treat each other.
And now, knowing that Quiver did so much to save Beatrice from the sadness made him think that he’s dumb for doing things that can make her sad.
After reading the letter left the idea in Nate’s mind that Quiver is such a friend and, simultaneously, a cupid that, until his last breath, he tried to fix their relationship.

Beatrice is already awake at night and notices the unusual emotions on Nate’s face. She also remembers the letter, so she suddenly searches for the paper already in her hand.
“Where’s the paper?” She asked and sat from her bed. Nate watched her find it and took a deep breath.
“I took it,” Nate said, so Beatrice suddenly looked at her with her frown forehead.
“What? Where did you bring it? Give it to me.” Beatrice said, so. Nate stood up from his seat, took the envelope from his case, and gave it to Beatrice. She suddenly noticed that the paper was in the envelope again, so she looked back at Nate before taking it from his hand.
“Did you read it?” Beatrice asked. Nate shook his head in answer, so Beatrice swallowed.
Nate lied as he read the letter, but he didn’t want to tell Beatrice he knew what the letter was as he wanted to see her reaction.
“That’s good. Did the doctor tell you when I can leave?” Beatrice asked, so Nate crossed his arms and looked at Beatrice.
“Yep, he told me you could leave this place once you gain consciousness,” Nate said, so Beatrice nodded and was about to stand when Nate stopped her.
“What?” Beatrice asked while looking at Nate.
Nate swallowed and thought of something first before he spoke.
“Where are you staying? I can drive you there, so I know you arrived at your house safely.” Nate said, so Beatrice just laughed and rolled her eyes.
“I can go by myself, Nate. No need for your presence anymore,” Beatrice said, standing from her bed.
