Concern

Book:The White Wolf's Luna Published:2024-6-4

Beatrice opened her eyes and saw the white ceiling. She still feels dizzy. That’s why Beatrice closes her eyes for a second before Beatrice opens it again. This time, she saw Nate’s handsome face looking at her with concern.
“Thank God you’re awake now,” Nate said, but Beatrice ignored that as it was still not sinking in her head. What is happening, and where is she.
“Do you need anything? Does something hurt with you?” Nate asked, and Beatrice saw his concern for her, but she ignored that and looked in the other direction.
“Where am I?” Beatrice asked in her cold tone of voice. And Nate noticed that, but he just ignored that as he smiled while looking at Beatrice. He knows that Beatrice is doing her best to make him feel that she’s a cold woman, just like what she did back then, but the fact is that Beatrice is soft like cotton.
“I brought you here in the hospital after you collapsed in the cemetery,” Nate said, so Beatrice looked at him.
“Did the doctor find anything ill in me? Am I gonna die soon?” She asked so Nate suddenly frowned as he watched Beatrice’s emotion.
“What do you mean?” Nate asked as he was confused by her question. Beatrice just took a deep breath and looked the other way. Nate suddenly realized the meaning of asking those questions, so he grabbed the chair near him and sat there while looking at Beatrice.
“Of course, you’re not gonna die. You’re healthy. You’re just exhausted from all the thing’s happiness to you.” Nate said, so Beatrice smiled bitterly and was disappointed by what she heard.
“Then, in that case, I do need to be unhealthy to die, right?” Beatrice asked, so Nate suddenly burst out of anger as he heard that.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Nate asked while looking at her unbelievably.
“What?” Beatrice looked at him. “Why are you so concerned for me?” She asked and smirked. “You shouldn’t be acting like that, Nate. You should be mad for what I did.” She said so. Nate rolled his eyes and crooked how you left, pointing to how you left me in without saying anything to me?” Nate asked, so Beatrice laughed.
“Now you’re acting like you forgot that.” She said.
“Of course I’m mad,” Nate said. “But I still do concern for you because my love for you never fades, Beatrice and I can’t stand being mad at you for a long time because …” Nate didn’t finish his words as he cut himself and just took a deep breath.
“Because what?” Beatrice asked while looking at Nate. Nate looked at Beatrice and saw her incredible beauty.
“Nothing,” Nate said and stood up.
“I will just call your doctor.” He said and turned his back on her. Beatrice rolled her eyes and watched him get out of the room.
As she left alone in the room, Beatrice realized that her heart didn’t beat fast while she was with Nate.
The last time it beat fast was when she saw him again after a couple of years.
Beatrice looked at the door where Nate left and took a deep breath.
“I think this is a good sign though.” She said in her mind and looked out the window.
Out of nowhere, her memories with Nate from the past suddenly flashed in her mind, where she used to be so in love with him and where she was pretending to be Margarett to get revenge for her sister. The good memories of her and him suddenly flashed in her mind, making her heart beat so fast.
Beatrice touched her chest and swallowed, suddenly feeling her heart beating fast. After those memories, she turned the time that turned her back to Quiver to be with Nate, but it went too different as she suddenly realized that Nate and Eille had a child.
All the happy and sad memories suddenly flashed in her mind, which made her emotional.
“What the fuck, am I seeing those memories now?” She asked herself, and she felt that her tears suddenly dropped from her eyes, so she immediately wiped them and took a deep breath to calm herself.
“I shouldn’t be thinking that.” She said and closed her eyes. A moment after that, the door where she was opened, and Rayver entered the room; she watched him go near her.
“Good day, Ms. Beatrice.” Rayver greeted, but she ignored it as she was mad at him for giving the divorce papers.
“I hope you’re okay now,” Rayver added, but Beatrice just looked at him and said nothing.
“I just came here to see if you’re doing well and forgot to give you this,” Rayver said and handed her a white envelope, but Beatrice just looked at it and didn’t take it.
Rayver put it beside her bed and stood straight again.
“That’s all; I will say no, Ms. Beatrice, as I notice you don’t like talking to me,” Rayver said, turned his back to her, and walked out the door. Beatrice just stared at it for a second. She gazes at the white envelope Rayver left beside her bed.
Beatrice slowly took it and looked at the note from the envelope.
For is Beatrice.
That’s all it says, so Beatrice is suddenly curious about what’s inside, but at the same time, she’s also scared that this thing might have a divorce paper again, or worse than that, so she controlled herself not to open the envelope.
She put the white envelope on the table beside her bed and watched it as she thought about whether she would open it.
“But the envelope didn’t say where this came from,” Beatrice said to herself, so she retook the envelope and swallowed as she opened it.
She was curious about what was inside and where this came from so she opened the envelope and saw a white folded paper.
She took it from the envelope and saw a note from Quiver, so her heart suddenly beat fast while looking at his name, and Beatrice suddenly felt heavy while looking at the paper.
She unfolded the paper and slowly read the messages from that paper that made her feel sad and cry once again.
