The day she was left Alone

Beatrice looked at the picture beside Quiver’s tombstone. Her emotions are empty, and her feelings cannot be expressed. She was numb at this moment, looking at Quiver’s monument beside Margarett’s grave. Beatrice is now looking at the two tombstones, and her tears immediately flow as she thinks of something in her mind.
“Why did you leave me alone?” Beatrice asked and sat in front of two tombstones. She looked at the sky and saw a flying bird from above.
Her mind was empty, and she couldn’t think straight. Now that she’s left alone again, she feels like no one will listen to her again and no one will understand her again.
For the past years, she’s been with Quiver. She has valued it and learned to love him so much. Quiver does his best to make Beatrice feel she’s not alone and deserves to be understood and loved.
Beatrice looked at the tree nearby and took a deep breath. Her emotions are mixed. She was left alone again, and this time, she couldn’t hold on to anyone as Quiver left a massive scar in her heart. Beatrice couldn’t accept that Quiver left him without any formal goodbyes.
Quiver left her without any words for the last time, and that is why she’s in pain. Moreover, she has this idea that Quiver is hiding something from her, and she’s right. On the first night of Quiver’s funeral, the doctor assigned to check Quiver’s situation comes and gives the most profound condolences. At first, Beatrice is mad seeing him at the funeral as she thinks that the doctor lied to her in Quiver’s situation. But that time, the doctor explained to his side that Quiver already made up his mind during the time that they were talking about the medication. He even told Beatrice that he had given Quiver a note not to go outside of the hospital as the doctor needed to check on Quiver from time to time. Still, Quiver talked to him and told him that Quiver already felt that his death was near, so he requested the doctor to let him go outside and let him die beside Beatrice, who was sleeping at that time. The doctor didn’t know that he really did that, and he was also affected to know that his patients died in the way that he wanted.
Beatrice’s tears drop from her eyes until she loudly cries while looking in nowhere. Her mind is blank, and she can’t think straight at this point because of the pain she’s suffering.
A white handkerchief suddenly landed before her, so she slowly stopped crying and looked up to see who was holding that Handkerchief.
“Rayver…” she called the man giving her the Handkerchief.
“I’m sure Quiver is watching you right now,” Rayver said, so Beatrice looked at the Handkerchief he was holding and accepted it.
Rayver watched Beatrice wipe her own tears using his Handkerchief before he took a deep breath and looked at Quiver’s tombstones.
“What are you doing here?” Beatrice asked and looked up to Rayver again.
Rayver looked at Beatrice and smiled. “I’m here to fulfill my promise to Quiver.” He said and took something from his back. Beatrice watched him while wiping her own tears.
It was a brown envelope that he had taken from his back. Beatrice looked at Rayver for a second before she looked at the envelope.
“What’s that for?” She asked Rayver handed the envelope to her.
“It’s for you to see what’s inside.” He said. Then Beatrice slowly took the envelope from Rayver. She then opened it and saw some papers from inside. Her heart started beating fast as she looked at those papers.
“What’s this for?” She asked again, knowing what’s gonna do to those papers.
A deep breath Rayver made before he answered Beatrice.
“He told me the last time we talked to give it to you.” He said and looked at Beatrice’s expression.
Beatrice again looked at the divorce papers she was holding before laughing in pain. Rayver just watched her and knows that Beatrice is hurting at this point.
“What the fuck is wrong with him, huh?” Beatrice asked and looked at Rayver. “He already left me without even saying anything to me. Now he has these papers? And it’s already signed by him?” Beatrice asked and laughed once again.
“Is he really that crazy to do such things?!” She asked angrily. She’s not mad at Quiver. She just can’t accept that Quiver wants to cut whatever their relationship is. The thing is, Quiver is doing those things because he doesn’t want to be a burden to Beatrice. For him, leaving her is the most painful thing, but he can’t do anything to stop it. What he can do is to make Beatrice’s life happy with the man he knew she really wanted, and that is Nate.
“Yes, he’s that masochist to do such things,” Rayver said and took a deep breath as he remembered how Quiver made him realize that loving someone who is really not into you won’t give you the same happiness and satisfaction.
“He’s doing all of that for you. Because he wanted to make you happy even if he’s not there with you anymore. He also knows that even if you’ve been with him in the past few years, you just liked him because you feel safe. But you still love Nate.” Rayver said frankly, so Beatrice was stunned and frowned her forehead.
“What the fuck are you saying?” Beatrice asked. Rayver looked her in the eye.
“I’m just telling you what he said to me the last time we talked.” He said. “He feels that you’re much happier with Nate than with him, so he decided to file a divorce paper and sign it and tell me to give it to you once he’s no longer here because he wanted to set you free again,” Rayver said, so Beatrice’s laugh fades and changes it to her profound aura.
“He also told me that what he felt for you the first time was admiration because you look exactly like your twin Margarett, and he sees her with you. The day you married him, he feel like he’s marrying Margarett because that’s his dream to be with Margarett. But then, slowly, he fell for you; he fell in love with who you are and was afraid of losing you or leaving you.” Rayver said, so Beatrice’s tears slowly dropped from her eyes.
“But destiny is really playful, and this is what happened,” Rayver added.
“I… I love Quiver,” Beatrice said.
“He knows,” Rayver answered. “He knows that you love him. That’s why he’s letting you go and setting you free again.” Rayver added.
Beatrice looked at Rayver and smiled while her tears were still dropping from her eyes.
“I can’t sign this.” She said. And tried to give it back to Rayver, but Rayver didn’t accept it.
“You can keep that.” He said and fixed his suit. “You can keep that until your mind changes your decision.” He said and smiled at Beatrice.
I’m already done here. See you again, Ms. Beatrice.” He said and turned his back to Beatrice. Beatrice just watched him walk away from her until he was gone.
