“Quiver, I was looking at you inside.” Beatrice walked towards Quiver, peacefully sitting in his wheelchair and looking at the ocean. Quiver turned his head to look at Beatrice and smile.
“I’m sorry. I told the caretaker to bring me here.” He said. Beatrice stood beside him and smiled at him.
“You supposed to tell me earlier so I could be with you here earlier.” She said. A smile formed on his lips and looked at the ocean again.
“My clan is worrying about my health. Some of my packs ask my Beta who will stand as their next Alpha once I leave the world.” Beatrice’s forehead frowned because of what he said.
“Who said that? Of course, you will remain their Alpha because you will not leave the world.” Beatrice said, so Quiver smiled.
“Are you gonna leave me?” Beatrice asked, so Quiver looked at her for a minute and smiled.
“I’m always with your side, no matter what.” He said so. Beatrice’s heart seems to turn into pieces after hearing his words.
She sat in front of him and touched his hand.
“You promised that you will not leave me alone.” She said, so Quiver smiled and nodded.
“Of course, I won’t leave you,” Quiver said, so Beatrice smiled and kissed his hand.
“Let’s go inside? You need to drink your medicine.” Beatrice said and stood up and walked to his back to push his wheelchair back inside the house.
On the other hand, Nate put down his wine and looked nowhere. His mind couldn’t take off what he and Quiver talked about the last time he went to see him.
“You’re drinking again.” Nate didn’t turn his head to look at the speaker as he knows already who that is. Eille. And he doesn’t want to talk to or start conversations with her.
“Are you thinking of something?” Eille asked, but again, Nate didn’t answer her. She looked at Nate, who was looking at nowhere, and took a deep breath, knowing that Nate was not listening to her.
“Nate.” He turned his head to look at her for a second and then looked in the other direction again. Eille took another deep breath because of irritation.
“Are you going to ignore me forever, Nate? Your son always sees us like this, and he is asking me why did you treat me so bad.” Eille said and couldn’t take any more of Nate’s action. She wanted his attention badly. She did all of this to be with him, yet Nate didn’t even want to pay attention to her, and for Eille, what she did was just useless.
Nate didn’t look at her, and Eille turned the heat on her head. She went to Nate’s side, grabbed his drink, and threw it on the floor. That’s when she got Nate’s attention.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Nate asked.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, Nate?!” Eille asked back. “I’m talking to you, yet you didn’t even want to talk back to me!” Eille said.
“Are you that numb? It’s obvious that I didn’t even want to talk to you.” Nate said madly because of what Eille did to his drink.
“Are you always like this to me, huh?! Why can’t you be nice to me for once?!” Eille asked, keeping herself cool as she didn’t want to cry in front of Nate.
“I am nice to you Eille. I’m being nice, but you keep my patience down to my limit.” Nate said, so Eille laughed sarcastically.
“Then it’s my fault?”
“Yes!” Nate shouted. He remembered how Beatrice left him and how Beatrice miscarried their child because of Eille.
“It is all your fault, Eille! If you just let us live happily, I’m with Beatrice now! We’re still together, but you’re selfish and badly wanted me!” Eille was caught off guard and slapped Nate because of what he said.
Her tears formed in her eyes, knowing that all this time Nate still thinks of Beatrice.
“Why can’t you try to love me again, Nate?” Eille asked, and tears fell in her eyes while looking at him.
“I just wanted to be with you again and start building our family. Caliber is with us, Nate. Your son wanted your love, too.” Eille said and wiped her tears. Nate was stunned for a second as he remembered that Caliber was upstairs and he might hear their voices shouting again.
“Can’t you just give us some love and move on to Beatrice? She’s happy now, Nate. Beatrice is happy with Quiver already, so why are you chasing her?” Eille asked. Nate suddenly remembered what Quiver had said to him last time.
Nate swallowed and looked in the other direction. He didn’t know if he would listen to what Quiver said to him last time or if he would make walls and barriers to move on from Beatrice.
“Mom, Dad. Are you fighting again?” The two of them both looked at the speaker, and it was Caliber standing on the stairs and looking at them with his scared eyes.
Eille wiped her tears and walked closer to Caliber.
“No, we’re just talking about something, okay. Mommy and Daddy are not fighting.” Eille said and looked at Nate.
Nate looked at Caliber, who was looking at him, and took a deep breath before he turned his back to the two and walked towards the door to exit from their house.
The next day. Beatrice woke up and turned to look at Quiver, who was peacefully sleeping by her side. She smiled, stood up from their bed, and went downstairs to prepare for their breakfast.
Beatrice became very hands-on with Quiver’s food as she wanted to give him healthy foods to recover quickly.
“Good morning, Madame Beatrice.” The caretaker greeted her. A smile formed on her lips.
“Good morning. Can you prepare the yacht later? I will surprise my husband for our dinner.” Beatrice said so. The caretaker nodded in response, and Beatrice started to do her routine before she made their breakfast.
After a minute of preparing some food for breakfast, Beatrice looked at Quiver’s Beta and smiled.
“Can you please wake him up and bring him here? I will just prepare his medicine.” Beatrice said, and Quiver’s Beta followed her.
After seconds of ordering the Beta to wake Quiver up, Beatrice suddenly broke the glass of water she held for Quiver as it slid into her hands.
“Shit.” She whispered and was about to get the broken glasses on the floor when she heard a loud noise from above.
“MADAME BEATRICE!” She turned to look at the one who shouted, and it was the Beta she ordered to get Quiver.
“Master Quiver is not breathing.”
