Book:The White Wolf's Luna Published:2024-6-4

Beatrice woke up so early from the nightmare that she caught her breath as she sat on their bed. Beatrice looked at Quiver, who was sleeping beside her, she held his angelic face and took a deep breath. Beatrice saw Quiver in her dreams that he died in front of her. Beatrice’s heart was racing, so she stood up from their bed and got water.
Beatrice saw it was already 5 in the morning, so instead of sleeping back, she started preparing for their breakfast and doing some chores.
Beatrice suddenly stops as she remembers her dream. She can’t imagine that her nightmare became true. Beatrice can’t stand to lose Quiver as Beatrice loves him now. The fact that Quiver did everything to make her happy again after what happened in the past is the best feeling she can’t afford to get from anyone.
After an hour of preparing their breakfast, Quiver finally woke up and went downstairs to see Beatrice. A smile formed on his lips as he saw her sitting on the dining table.
“Good morning.” Quiver greeted her and went closer to her. He suddenly stopped when he saw that Beatrice was wiping her tears. His brows frowned and held her face.
“Why are you crying?” Quiver asked and kissed her on her forehead. “Baby, why are you crying?” Quiver asked, so Beatrice looked him in the eyes and hugged him.
Quiver was shocked because of what she did.
“Is there something wrong?” Quiver asked again. Beatrice shook her head and looked at him.
“Don’t leave me, okay?” Beatrice said, so he suddenly stopped because of what she said.
“If you feel something bad about your body, just tell me immediately, and we will see it to the doctor. Just promise me that you won’t hide anything from me, just like what Nate did to me.” She said Quiver was stunned for a minute and couldn’t speak.
“What do you mean?” Quiver asked, so Beatrice held his face in both hands and took a deep breath.
“I saw you in my dreams. You died and left me alone. Quiver, you need to promise me you won’t leave me and will not die.” Beatrice said, and her voice was scared. Quiver smiled at her and nodded.
“Promise.” He said and hugged her, his tears formed in his eyes, so he stopped himself from crying, knowing that he had already broken his promise to her.
“I’m sorry…” Quiver said in his mind while hugging Beatrice. “I wish I could tell it to you easily, but I can’t, as I can’t face the reality of leaving you alone with someone else.” He added a smile when he looked at Beatrice.
“Stop crying, okay?” Quiver said to Beatrice and smiled at her. “Your nightmare won’t happen, okay? I will not leave you.” Quiver said and hugged Beatrice again. Quiver closed his eyes while hugging her, knowing he needed to face his fears soon.
When Beatrice calms down, Quiver invites her to eat the breakfast she prepared for the both of them. Beatrice’s mind is floating in the air as she eats her breakfast. On the other hand, Quiver is forcing himself to eat because his system doesn’t want to accept the food in front of him.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Quiver asked as he caught Beatrice looking at him with a strange look.
“You didn’t like the food?” Beatrice said, so Quiver looked at the food before him and frowned.
“I like it. Why did you ask? I’m eating it, right?” He said and laughed, but Beatrice was not convinced of what he said.
“But it looks like you’re forcing yourself to eat.” She said, so Quiver swallowed and laughed because of what she said.
“Baby, I like it, and I’m not forcing myself to eat. I’m just thinking of something.” Quiver lied, so Beatrice looked at him and took a deep breath.
“What are you thinking about?” She asked and started to eat her food again.
“I just thought of visiting Nate this day.” He said, so Beatrice stopped from her place and looked at him with shocked eyes.
“Why?” She asked and laughed after she put down the utensils she was holding.
“Well, I realize that what we did in the past might have caused him pain as we left him alone without even saying anything to him,” Quiver said, so Beatrice looked at him with an unbelievable look.
“And I’ve realized that he’s still my friend,” Quiver added, so Beatrice laughed and shook her head.
“No, no one will meet him or anyone connected to him. Quiver, I told you that we need to cut him off in our lives now, and is this what you want? A peaceful life with me, nothing will bother us now?” Beatrice said, so Quiver put down his utensils and looked at Beatrice.
“Yes, this is what I wanted, but I realized we became selfish because we didn’t even inform him about our decision,” Quiver said, so Beatrice laughed again.
“Quiver, we don’t care about him anymore, okay? What we need to focus on now is us building a family together, not him.” Beatrice said, so Quiver suddenly stopped as she mentioned the family thing.
One of Quiver’s dreams is to build a happy family with Beatrice in the future, and that is what they’re doing now, trying to make a family just like their dream, but Quiver knows that anytime soon, this dream of him will be gone the same with him. He can’t hide that he is not sad about this, but he needs to stay vital for Beatrice.
“One more thing is, why do you want to see him suddenly? Did you do something that isn’t nice?” Beatrice asked, so he shook his head. His real reason why he wanted to visit Nate is because he will start to do his plan.
“I only wanted to visit him because I feel guilty, that’s all,” Quiver said, holding his utensils again.
“Stop being guilty. It is also Nate’s fault why we leave him without saying anything.” Beatrice said and started to eat her food again, Quiver watched her until the both of them were done eating.
“Are you leaving now?” Beatrice asked Quiver and helped him tie his necktie… Quiver nodded and kissed her lips.
“Keep safe, okay? Drive safe.” Beatrice added and kissed him once again. Quiver nodded and gave her a hug.
“I love you.” He whispered and closed his eyes as he felt dizzy.
“I love you too.” She said and looked at him.
“Are you okay? You look pale.” Beatrice asked, so Quiver opened his eyes and nodded.
“Of course I am. Anyways, I need to go.” Quiver said and got his case on their bed. As soon as he stepped on his left foot, he felt very dizzy and even started to vomit, which Beatrice saw and came close to him.
“Are you okay? Quiver…” Beatrice asked as she supported him.
“Y-yes, I am,” Quiver said, looked at Beatrice, and smiled.
Beatrice suddenly stopped as she saw blood in Quiver’s nose.
“D-don’t mind me…” Quiver said before he lost consciousness.
“Quiver!” Beatrice immediately caught his body as he lost his consciousness.
