After a couple of hours of talking to Rayver about his condition and their business, Quiver decides to get Beatrice from her room as Rayver wants to speak to her. Quiver allows him to talk to his wife, and now he convinces her to talk with Rayver.
“I don’t want to,” Beatrice said with her forehead frowning, Quiver took a deep breath, walked closer to her, and held her hands.
“He just wanted to talk to you about kinds of stuff. Promise I won’t leave you with him.” Quiver said, so Beatrice looked at Quiver’s eyes for a second before she took a deep breath and nodded. A smile formed on Quiver’s lips as he convinced his wife.
They both walk downstairs and go to Rayver, who is sitting on the couch and waiting for them. Beatrice immediately rolled her eyes on Rayver and took a deep breath.
“What do you want?” She asked, so Rayver smiled, seeing her act like this. It gives him chills as he remembers how she treated him in the past, the same as she does now.
“I just wanted to ask how are you, it’s been a long time.” He said, so Beatrice laughed sarcastically and looked in the other direction.
“As you can see, I am still breathing and happy with Quiver,” Beatrice said, holding Quiver’s hand. A smile formed in Quiver seeing her like this, but that smile faded as he remembered that any moment or soon, he would need to leave her, and that is one of the scenarios he’s afraid of, leaving her alone.
“Is that what you wanted to ask? I will leave now.” Beatrice said, so Rayver looked at Quiver, and Quiver nodded at him, giving him permission to ask.
“Aren’t you miss him?” Rayver asked so Beatrice was stunned for a second and looked at him unbelievably and at Quiver for a second before she looked back at Rayver.
“What the heck is that question?” Beatrice asked and laughed.
“My husband is sitting beside me, and you are asking me that stuff?” Beatrice asked, so Rayver looked at Quiver, who was listening to them.
“Of course, I’m not. Why would I miss him?” Beatrice asked, so Rayver took a deep breath and nodded.
“I’m just asking it to make sure,” Rayver said, so Beatrice laughed sarcastically and crossed her arms.
“Make sure of what?” Beatrice asked, her brows are frowning. “You’re the most unrespectful person I’ve met.” She added, so Rayver laughed and accepted what she said.
“Do you plan to make a mess with us now?” She asked, so Rayver shook his head.
“Of course not. I’m just asking it because Nate misses you.” He said, so Beatrice looked to Quiver.
“What kind of business partner is that?” She asked her husband and stood up.
“What a shitty conversation we have.” She added as she looked at Rayver before she walked away from the two.
Rayver and Quiver left alone, and Quiver just took a deep breath and smiled at Rayver.
“She is really mad at him. I can’t do anything to change that.” Quiver said, so Rayver looked him in the eye and asked him straight.
“Why did you do this?” Rayver asked as Quiver told him earlier to ask some things to Beatrice related to Nate and that is what he did now. He doesn’t know why he give him an order like that, as Rayver knows that Quiver is her husband, yet he is pushing him to ask Beatrice about related to Nate.
A bitter smile formed on Quiver’s lips, and they looked in the other direction.
“Because I don’t want to leave her alone,” Quiver answered, so Rayver looked at him, and he felt sadness all over his voice.
“He really loves Beatrice…” Rayver said in his mind while looking at Quiver.
“I know that anytime I leave this place, I will leave her alone again. Beatrice doesn’t want to be alone.” Quiver said and looked at Rayver. “She’s afraid to be alone again.” He added and smiled.
“That’s why I decided to at least leave her with someone who can watch her and feel safe and not alone,” Quiver added, looking out the window.
“It’s hard for me doing this thing, but at least I won’t leave her alone, right? At least if I left her, someone would be there for her.” He said, and his tears formed in his eyes as he said those words.
He is not ready to die and doesn’t want to die, but destiny does it all, so he can’t do anything about it.
“My medication can’t prevent the cancer anymore, and the doctor told me that he can’t do anything to save me from it.” Quiver’s tears fall in his eyes, and Rayver sees that, making him swallow and look in another direction because he doesn’t want to see someone crying. It makes him emotional.
“Can you help me do something?” Quiver asked so Rayver turned to look at him, but he couldn’t look in his eyes.
“What is that?” Rayver asked, so Quiver smiled.
“Can you help me bring Beatrice back to Nate? Help me to fix their relationship.” Quiver said, so Rayver was stunned for a second as he looked at Quiver.
He does not realize that Quiver can do such a thing for Beatrice. He loves her so much that he will give her back to Nate again. This idea for sure hurt Quiver.
“Are you crazy?” Rayver can’t stop asking as he knows that Quiver is hurting for what he plans to make.
“I think I am,” Quiver said, laughing and wiping tears from his eyes. “But this is not for me though. This is for Beatrice.” He added. Rayver observed him and decided to agree with what he liked to do.
“Are you really sure about this?” Rayver asked, and Quiver nodded to him.
“And I have one more thing to request. I know we are not that close, but you are the only person I can trust in this situation.” Quiver said, so Rayver looked at him very seriously.
“What is it?” Rayver asked, so Quiver smiled at him.
It’s already night when Rayver gets back to Nate’s mansion. Until now, he is thinking about what Quiver told him before he goes home.
“He is really crazy.” He said to himself and turned off his car engine. Rayver looked at Nate’s mansion and took a deep breath to calm himself.
His mind can’t process all that Quiver told him, and even though he is hurting for Quiver’s situation, he can’t do anything because that is what is written on Quiver’s destiny.
Rayver came out of his car and entered the mansion; as soon as he entered the estate, he saw Celestine drinking some wine at the dining table and thought deeply about something, so he went close to her.
“Ma’am Celestine,” Rayver called her, so Celestine turned her attention to Rayver, who was now in front of her.
“Rayver.. How’s your mission?” Celestine said. Even though Rayver doesn’t want to tell where Quiver and Beatrice are, he needs to because that is what he said to Quiver: that he will help him fix the relationship between Nate and Beatrice.
“I already know where they’re,” Rayver said, so Celestine stood up.
