Beatrice enters the room, and Nate is behind her, following her while saying sorry to Beatrice, but Beatrice doesn’t listen to him, knowing that Nate is hiding something from her.
“Beatrice, please talk to me. I’m sorry, please, baby.” Nate held Beatrice’s hand, held her closer, and kissed her forehead.
“Please listen to me first; don’t be mad at me,” Nate whispered and took a deep breath before he looked her in the eyes.
“What’s wrong, Beatrice? I already admitted earlier what I did this past few days.” Nate said, but Beatrice didn’t answer him as she knew that Nate wouldn’t do such a thing as it was not his nature to go to the office early in the morning to do some paperwork.
“Aren’t you believing me?” Nate asked, so Beatrice pushed him a little to have space between them before she spoke.
“Don’t make me fool Nate,” Beatrice said, which made Nate stunned for a second. “I know that what you said earlier is all lies. Tell me what is the truth. Don’t you ever lie to me again because I know how you move, Nate?” Beatrice said, so Nate was stunned hearing that to Beatrice. He didn’t know that Beatrice knew him very well.
“I’m telling you the truth,” Nate said, so Beatrice laughed sarcastically and looked up at the ceiling.
“Don’t lie to me, Nate,” Beatrice said in her warning tone, so Nate looked her in the eye and tried to touch her again, but Beatrice removed her hands.
“Baby, I’m telling you the truth,” Nate said, so Beatrice looked into his eyes and nodded.
“If you still push that excuse again, I will leave this place, Nate,” Beatrice warned him, but Nate didn’t listen as he didn’t want to tell Beatrice the truth because he was afraid that Beatrice would be mad at him or, worse, Nate would lose her again, and he didn’t want that.
“Beatrice, I am telling you the truth,” Nate said, so Beatrice pushed him away and walked to get her things from the closet. Nate watched her do that until he walked close to her and hugged her from behind.
“Beatrice, please…” Nate whispered, tears forming in Beatrice’s eyes because she knew Nate was not telling the truth.
“I’m telling you the truth,” Nate added, so Beatrice closed her eyes, and her tears dropped.
“You keep pushing that excuse, are you?” Beatrice said and laughed as she wiped her tears.
“Don’t make me fool Nate, I called your secretary and asked her where you at yesterday morning, and she told me that you were not in your office, yet here you are, keeping pushing your bullshit excuse to me, Nate. I TOLD YOU DON’T TELL A LIE ON ME.” Beatrice said, and she is mad this time because of that. Nate, on the other hand, was stunned because of what she said, he didn’t know that Beatrice would start to investigate.
“Beatrice…” Beatrice removed Nate’s hand from her body and looked him in the eye.
“You are making me fool Nate, and I told you don’t tell a lie to me,” Beatrice said while crying. She couldn’t stop herself from crying as she was hurt by the fact that Nate lied to her and they were hiding something from her.
“Beatrice, I’m sorry,” Nate said, but Beatrice just turned her back to him and started packing her things. She will stay at her parent’s house first as she doesn’t want to see Nate around.
“Beatrice, please listen to me,” Nate said and tried to remove her thing from the bag, but Beatrice kept putting it inside. Nate’s tears formed, and his heart beat fast seeing Beatrice like this.
“Listen to your what, Nate? To your lies?” Beatrice asked and laughed a little and shook her head.
“No, I won’t listen to you, and don’t expect me to come back here anymore, as I don’t want to be with someone who raised as a liar,” Beatrice said, which hurt Nate because of her words.
“Beatrice, please…” Beatrice removed Nate’s hands from her and started to pull her luggage out of Nate’s room. Nate followed her and tried to stop her, but Beatrice didn’t listen to him as she continued walking down the stairs until she met Celestine beside the stairs.
“Beatrice, where are you going?” Celestine asked. Beatrice looked at her and wiped her tears.
“What’s going on?” Celestine asked and looked at Nate, who was also crying while begging Beatrice not to leave.
“I’m going to my parent’s place first, mom. Thank you for keeping me here.” Beatrice said she was about to pull her luggage when Nate came before her and stopped her by kneeling while crying.
“Oh my, Nate, stand up, don’t make this,” Celestine said as she was so pitiful of him for doing this.
“Nate, you’re the alpha. Don’t make this. Stand up.” Beatrice said and sat in front of him, who was also crying because he didn’t want to lose her again. Even though he is the alpha of his clan, he is willing to kneel for his Luna, which is what he’s doing right now.
“Please don’t leave Beatrice, I will tell you the truth. Just don’t leave me, please.” Nate said, so Beatrice’s heart softened when Nate said those words.
Beatrice nodded at him and hugged him; she couldn’t stand seeing him like that. Beatrice couldn’t stand seeing Nate kneeling in front of her.
“Stad up, Nate. You and Beatrice talk to your room; don’t ever kneel again,” Celestine said and helped her son to stand. This is the very first time she sees her son kneeling to someone to beg, which hurts her, knowing that her son’s pride and ego were shuttered into pieces when he kneeled for Beatrice.
Celestine can’t blame Beatrice, too, as she knows that Beatrice is hurting too because Nate is lying to her, and even worse, Nate will tell the whole truth to her, which she surely hurt after.
“Ma’am.” The Maid walked towards them, so Celestine looked at the maid. “Someone is looking for Mr. Nate at the gate, and she said their son needs Mr. Nate.” The maid said so. Celestine’s eyes widened because of what the maid said, and even Nate and Beatrice were stunned for a second because of what they heard.
Celestine goes immediately to the gate to see who that is, and the moment she goes there, she sees Eille with a little boy who looks like Nate when he was a child.
“Eille…” Celestine heard Beatrice say her name, so she turned to look at Beatrice before she looked at the child again.
