Something is not right

Beatrice woke up early to see Nate that day and to start her plan to confront him, as she opened her eyes, Nate was not in their bed anymore, so her forehead immediately frowned the moment she saw that Nate was not around, she wondered if Nate goes home late or if Nate didn’t come home so Beatrice stood up from their bed and didn’t take any time to check herself in the mirror as she immediately goes downstairs. As she walked downstairs, she suddenly stopped to see Celestine and Nate talking in the entertainment room, so Beatrice took that chance to enter the entertainment room to speak with Nate, but Beatrice suddenly stopped as she heard something from their conversation.
“I will try to tell this to the court; don’t worry,” Celestine said and hugged Nate again.
“Thanks. I don’t know what to do, especially now that Beatrice is pregnant. I don’t want to give her stress.” Nate said, so Beatrice stopped briefly as she heard her name.  She didn’t know their topic, but she thought it connected with her, so she decided not to enter the entertainment room and listen to their conversation.
“I know Nate, and we both know that if we tried to tell this to her, there might be a chance that your relationship with her will change,” Celestine said, confusing Beatrice.
“I know, Mom, that’s why I’m doing this because I don’t want to lose her again,” Nate said, so Beatrice swallowed, turned around, and walked away. It made her think a lot since their conversation was about something connected to her, making Beatrice think of what it was all about. Instead of trying to confront Nate, she decided not to ask about why he’s late and what’s going on with him. Beatrice decided to ask what his conversation was all about with his mom.
But that made her think twice if she asked that, knowing that Nate would feel that she heard anything from the entertainment room, she decided to be quiet and let Nate tell it.
Beatrice went to the dining table and waited for their food and waited for Nate and Celestine.
Her mind is occupied with the conversation she hears.
“Is it bad? Or am I just paranoid?” Beatrice asked herself in her mind and took a deep breath when the maid put the food in front of her.  Her mind was floating, and she didn’t notice that Nate and Celestine had arrived at the dining table.
“Good morning, Beatrice.” Celestine greeted her while Nate came closer to her and kissed her.
“Good morning.” Nate greeted, so Beatrice smiled small and looked in the other direction.
“How’s your sleep?” Celestine asked the moment she sat on her chair. Beatrice watches them sit on their respective chairs and smile a little.
“It was fine,” Beatrice answered. Both of them feel something from her words but ignore them as they act like there is nothing to fear.
“That’s good. Nate came home yesterday. When you sleep, I already talk to him about his behavior, and Nate will say something to you.” Celestine said as she put some food on her plate.
Beatrice looked at Nate and waited for what he was going to say.
“Are they going to tell me what their conversation is about?” Beatrice asked herself and waited for Nate.
“Mom told me everything last night that you’re waiting for me to confront me about my behavior this past few days,” Nate said, so Beatrice looked in the other direction as this was not what she wanted to hear.
“And I know my actions, so I just wanted to apologize if you feel I am mad at you or something is wrong. I need to do some paperwork at my office, and I’ve also had some meetings with my business partners, so I needed to go to my office early this past few days.” Nate said, so Beatrice laughed in her mind, knowing that Nate was telling a lie. She can sense that what Nate said to her is not valid. Something needs to be corrected, and she knows Nate or even Celestine doesn’t want to tell her what’s happening.
“Really?” Beatrice asked, so Nate suddenly stopped as he sensed the sarcasm in her words, even Celestine was stunned for a second before she continued eating her food.
“You must be tired of your work then,” Beatrice said and started eating the food on her plate. Nate was staring at her and analyzing her actions. Nate didn’t know if Beatrice sensed that he was telling a lie. That’s why she acted like that, and it scared him while looking at Beatrice’s aura.
“Yes, so I decided to rest today and tomorrow,” Nate said and watched Beatrice.
She’s eating her food and no longer says, so Nate holds her hand.
“Are you mad at me?” Nate asked, so Beatrice looked at him and shook her head in answer.
“Of course not,” Beatrice said and looked at Celestine’s direction and saw that she was also looking at Beatrice.
Beatrice turned her gaze back to Nate again.
“Why would I be mad at you?” Beatrice asked and smiled at Nate.
Nate saw that her smile was fake, so he took a deep breath and looked at her eyes.
“Look, Beatrice, I know that you’re mad, but please listen to me, My only purpose for doing that is business-”
“I know you already told me that.” Beatrice cuts him, so Nate feels chills in his system, and this time, he knows that Beatrice is mad.
“Beatrice…”
“Let’s just eat, Nate. I already accepted your apology.” Beatrice said coldly and ate her food again.
Celestine watched the two of them, and she knew that Beatrice was sensing something wrong and understood her actions.
Nate looked at his mom, so Celestine smiled and continued her food.
Nate, on the other hand, is scared because of Beatrice’s actions this morning, he is afraid of losing her again and scared of Beatrice knowing the truth about Caliber.
“Beatrice, are you mad at me?” Nate asks so Beatrice is stunned for a second and laughs sarcastically before she looks at Nate, who is watching her.
“For what?” Beatrice asked. Nate was stunned and swallowed.
“Stop fighting. Respect the food in front of you.” Celestine said in her weighty voice so Beatrice looked at her and laughed in her mind before she continued her food.
