Beatrice looked in the mirror and deeply breathed as she remembered her conversation with Celestine earlier. She didn’t know why she suddenly acted like that when, the last time she
checked, Celestine hated her very much.
And now, Celestine told her not to fool herself? “I don’t get her…” Beatrice said in her mind and looked at her reflection.
“I do love Quiver, and I am happy with him now…” Beatrice said in her mind and smiled at her reflection. “But why am I still looking for Nate?” She asked, and her smile faded.
Quiver gives all the love she wants and takes care of her and her baby. Quiver accepts her and loves her.
While Nate… Nate gives her the feelings she had never experienced and never asked for. She felt the true love for Nate, the true meaning of happiness and appreciation, and she felt that all to
Nate.
But Nate never trusted her as he didn’t listen to her when she needed someone to defend her. The only person who provides that trust is Quiver.
“I’m home!” Beatrice turned her gaze at the door when it opened, and Quiver entered the room with his big smile.
“Welcome home,” Beatrice said and hugged him as she walked closer to Quiver.
“I miss you so much,” Quiver said, kissing her lips. A smile formed on Beatrice’s lips as Quiver hugged her.
“How’s your trip?” Beatrice asked and accompanied him to change his clothes.
“Super tiring, but I already closed the deal with the Hansell Clan, and they’re willing to be our business partners. They also volunteered to attend our wedding, so I invited them already,”
Quiver said. Beatrice smiled at him and helped him to put his shirt on.
“That’s great, and I am so proud of you, babe,” Beatrice said and smiled at Quiver.
Quiver stopped for a second as this was the first time someone said she was proud of him, and it melted his heart, knowing that Beatrice was the first one to say those words.
“Thank you, I love you,” Quiver said and hugged Beatrice again. “Have you already eaten dinner?” Beatrice asked and looked at Quiver.
“Not yet,” Quiver answered, so Beatrice pinched his cheeks and rolled her eyes.
“I told you to eat properly and not starve yourself,” Beatrice said. Quiver laughed and kissed her again.
“I’m sorry, please don’t be mad,” Quiver said in a very childish voice, so Beatrice burst into laughter as she heard that.
A moment after that, Quiver and Beatrice go to the dining table, and the maid serves their food for dinner. When the both of them start to eat, Quiver takes the opportunity to update Beatrice about his upcoming out-of-town business agenda.
“Babe, I want to say something to you,” Quiver said after he drank his juice. Beatrice looked at him and wiped her lips.
“What is it?” Beatrice asked Quiver to hold her left hand and look at Beatrice’s eyes.
“Remember I told you that the Hansell clan accepts my business proposal?” Quiver asked; Beatrice nodded in response.
“Well, in that proposal, Mr. Alvarez invited me for out-of-town business, and we will stay at
North Westwood for one week as there will be a party held on the Peninsula in Westwood for our successful business partnership. He asked me if you could come with me as he wanted to meet you, but I informed him that your pregnancy is so sensitive and you needed to rest a lot for the baby, so he invited me to come.” Quiver said. Beatrice laughed as Quiver was done saying those sentences.
“But I told them I don’t wanna go as no one will look for you,” Quiver added. Beatrice smiled at him and shook its head.
“You can go. I will stay in my mom’s house so they can look for me.” Beatrice said. “Are you sure?” Quiver asked, so Beatrice held his hand and smiled at him.
“Of course, you don’t need to miss the opportunity Mr. Alvarez gave. I will be fine, and I will wait for you.” Beatrice said, so Quiver smiled at her and kissed her hand.
“Can we get married if I come back home?” Quiver asked, so Beatrice laughed and nodded.
“If you want, then let’s get married after you return from the trip,” Beatrice said, making Quiver smile.
On the other hand, Nate is looking at the ceiling of his office while waiting for Rayver to arrive. Nate can’t calm himself, knowing that his mom visited Beatrice earlier. He doesn’t want to think rudely but wants to know what his mom did to Beatrice and why she visited her.
“Sir, sorry for being late,” Rayver said as soon as he entered Nate’s office. Nate watched him walk closer until he stood in front of him.
“Please have a seat,” Nate said, which caused Rayver to frown as this was the first start Nate offered him to sit.
“Do you need something, Mr. Nate?” Rayver asked as soon as he was already seated in front of Nate.
“I need your help,” Nate said, so Rayver smiled. This is the first time that Nate asked for his help.
“Sure, Mr. Nate, just tell me what you want me to do,” Rayver said. Nate smiles, knowing that Rayver is truly his loyal Beta.
“Can you please know about Beatrice’s child, like find out if the baby in her womb is my child or not,” Nate said, so Rayver’s smile slowly faded.
“What’s with the sudden doubt, Mr. Nate?” Rayver asked. Nate leaned on his chair and took a deep breath.
He has these feelings that the baby in Beatrice’s womb is his child as he doesn’t believe what Beatrice told him last time when he asked about it.
“I feel that the baby in her womb is my child,” Nate said, so Rayver fell silent. “Can you do that for me? I wanted to know the truth.” Nate said, so Rayver nodded.
“I also want to win her back as I’ve realized Mom was right. I should fight my feelings for her,” Nate added, so Rayver stood in his seat and nodded.
“Noted, Mr. Nate,” Rayver said and smiled at him.
“I will do my best to know what’s the truth.” He added, bowed his head to say goodbye, and left Nate’s office.
Nate is left alone in his office and smiles, knowing that he will find the truth with the help of Rayver.
A few minutes after Rayver left, Eille gave Nate a gift.
“Nate, how are you?” Eille asked and noticed the smile on Nate’s lips.
“You look happy. Did something good happen?” She asked, but Nate just smiled at her and didn’t answer her.
Eille also notices that Nate is preparing to leave, so her forehead frowns, knowing that this is not the usual time Nate leaves his office.
“Are you leaving already?” Eille asked.
“Yes, I need to go home early,” Nate answered, leaving her alone without saying goodbye.
