Time passed, and everything between Beatrice and Quiver went well as Quiver took the te. Until now he can still remember her words when he talked to her.
“Rayver, How are you?” Beatrice asked him as she saw him sitting on the couch. She didn’t have any idea how Rayver found him.
“Ms. Beatrice…” Rayver called her and stood up from his chair and suddenly noticed Beatrice’s prominent belly.
“I am fine, how about you?” Rayver asked and looked at her belly again. “Your… belly is… big,” Rayver commented, so Beatrice smiled and massaged her belly.
“You’re… pregnant…” Rayver said, so Beatrice looked at him again and sat down with her.
“Yeah.” Beatrice took a deep breath as she observed his expression.
“Why are you here, and how did you find me?” Beatrice asked, so Rayver looked at his face and smiled bitterly.
“I used the scent you left in your remaining dress on the mansion. I sniff it and follow the scent until I reach here.” Rayver explains, so Beatrice smiles as she is amazed her nose’s good.
“You’re so suitable in your position as beta,” Beatrice commented and smiled at him.
“And… I am here to tell you something about Nate.” Rayver said, which made Beatrice’s smile fade on her lips.
“How is he?” Beatrice asked as her expression turned serious.
“He’s doing fine, but he’s not okay,” Rayver answered, so Beatrice looked into his eyes.
“Everything has changed since the day you left him. He becomes a cold, serious, and hot-headed person. Which was so different from his true attitude when you’re still together.” Rayver said.
“Are you here to convince me to come back to him?” Beatrice asked as the idea popped into her mind why Rayver suddenly came to Quiver’s place.
“Yes,” Rayver answered, so Beatrice smiled at her sarcastically and shook her head.
“I am sorry,” Beatrice said. “But I will never go back to him again.” She added, which made Rayver, he can’t smell anything from her words, making him think she is telling the truth.
“After all that happened, I can’t say I still have the guts to return to him. Nate and his family think I murdered Gastov, and they filed a case against me to put me in jail. Nate didn’t listen to me, so why would I dare to return to him after the mess?” Beatrice asked. That’s why Rayver looked down because of disappointment.
“I am just thankful that there is no concrete evidence to find me guilty of killing Gastov, and Quiver paid money to free me from jail.” She added and remembered how Quiver saved her during those times.
“I am happy now with Quiver,” Beatrice said, massaging her belly again. Rayver looked at her again and watched her.
“I am sure Nate will return to his old attitude once he accepts what happened to his dad,” Beatrice added.
“I know already who killed Sir. Gastov.” Rayver said, so Beatrice was stunned as she looked at Rayver.
“Really? That would be a great way to get justice for him.” Beatrice said, not asking who did that. Even though she wanted to ask who did that, she stopped herself because Beatrice didn’t want to give Rayver a hint that she still cared for Nate.
Beatrice decided not to return with Nate as she was already happy with Quiver. That makes Rayver sad not to tell Nate who killed his father anymore as he thinks it will all be useless if he tells Nate about the information he knows.
As time went by, Eille was always on Nate’s side and followed him around to ensure she could win his heart this time.
Everything has changed for some reason as time passes, and Rayver witnessed all of that.
Rayver witnessed how Nate slowly lowered his guard to Eille as he could see the sincerity of her caring for him.
“Eille, would you like to eat dinner with me later?” Nate asked as he turned off his laptop. Eille looked at him and smiled as she was shocked by Nate, who suddenly invited her to dinner.
“Of course.” She answered, and a sweet smile formed on her lips.
“Good. I will reserve tables now.” He said and got his phone beside his table.
Eille watched him while her smile never faded. She was happy knowing that Nate was now inviting her to dinner. This is progress in their relationship. And she thinks she deserves it after all she did for him.
As Eille watched him, the door office of Nate suddenly opened, and Clerophine entered the room with her frowning forehead.
“What the hell is this? I received news about me being kicked out as secretary of your new business?” Clerophine asked Nate, so Nate looked at her and put down his phone.
“Oh, the news came to you immediately?” Nate asked with his annoying smile. Clerophine’s blood boils more when she sees how annoying the smile on Nate’s lips is.
“This is ridiculous, Nate! You can’t kick me out of my position!” Clerophine retorted.
“You have to. Mom told me that you have lots of photoshoots scheduled by your manager this month, so instead of adding stress to you, I decided to kick you out of the position and put Eille as the secretary of our new business.” Nate said, which caused even more boils to Clerophine’s blood.
“WHAT ON EARTH?!” Clerophine yeld and looked at Eille, who was secretly smirking at her.
Clerophine saw the devilish smirk on Eille’s lips, so she walked near and was about to pull her hair when Nate spoke.
“Are you really going to hurt her here before me?” Nate asked coldly, which gave chills to the both of them.
Clerophine stopped and looked at Nate.
“You don’t even ask permission before doing such a thing, Nate. I still have the right to know what is happening to the business we are building.” Clerophine said, so Nate shrugged his shoulder.
“Because I know you won’t accept my decision,” Nate said. Clerophine laughed sarcastically and clapped her hands.
“Of course, I will be mad. What do you expect me to do? praise you because you lessen my work and give it to the trashy person?” Clerophine asked.
“Watch your words, Clerophine,” Nate warns her, so Clerophine laughs again.
“Why would I?” She asked and looked at Eille, knowing that Eille was making her moves to get Nate back to her.
“She’s just a lowly trash just like her clan,” Clerophine added, which made Eille mad.
Hearing Clerophine’s words against her clan made her blood boil.
“Just so you know that your clan is lower than her,” Nate said. Clerophine was stunned for a second as she heard Nate’s words.
“Her clan might be the poorer people of this town, but your clan is the poorest criminal clan,” Nate said, so Clerophine looked at him with teary eyes.
It hurts her so much knowing that Nate is siding with Eille.
“So don’t humiliate her and her clan,” Nate said coldly. Clerophine couldn’t stand it anymore. She walked away from them while crying.
