Rayver looked at the board where some of the photos from the crime scene were displayed. He looked at the crime weapon and took a deep breath.
He knew who had already done the crime, but he needed concrete proof to show that she had done that before he told it to Nate.
“I need you to my office now,” Nate commands him using the mind link. Rayver put down the picture he was holding before he walked toward Nate’s office.
Today, Nate is back in his office to work on his businesses as he left so much paperwork.
For Rayver, it was an excellent development for Nate as he can start to work again. But the thing is, his posture remains cold. That’s why he’s doing his best to return Beatrice to him.
“Mr. Nate. You’re calling me?” Rayver asked as he entered Nate’s office.
“Yeah, what is this?” Nate asks, his forehead frowning and pointing at the table. Rayver walked closer to see what he was saying and saw that it was one of those pictures from the crime scene that was left here in his office.
Rayver suddenly looked at Nate.
“Are you doing something I didn’t know?” Nate asked, so Rayver immediately shook his head. Rayver didn’t know he had left one picture in Nate’s office.
“I think the investigators left this,” Rayver said, so Nate frowned at him, knowing that he hadn’t invited any investigators to his office.
“You’re lying,” Nate said, so Rayver shook his head again and took a deep breath.
“Rayver. You must stop what you’re doing. It’s nonsense to get involved in a situation you didn’t know.” Nate said, put the picture in the trash bin, and looked at Rayver again.
“Stop doing investigations,” Nate said in a serious voice before he sat on his chair. Rayver watched him and looked in other directions.
“I am just curious why I smell something from. Ms. Clerophine’s words that I didn’t smell with Ms. Beatrice .” Rayver admitted, so Nate looked at him again.
“Are you telling me that my sister is your suspect?” Nate asked, so Rayver looked at him again. “That’s bullshit, why would she do that?” Nate added with his annoying voice.
“Stop doing investigations for the sake of your reputation to me,” Nate added, reading the papers on his desk.
“Mr. Nate.” They both looked at the one who had spoken as it entered. It’s Mina, Nate’s secretary.
“One woman wanted to talk to you here in your office. I asked for her credentials, but she said I am not. You thought, why would she give it to me.” Mina said, so Nate’s brows frowned.
“Where is Nate?!” A voice from Mina behind is heard loud and clear; with that, Nate already knows who that is.
“Nate..” Eille said as she saw Nate looking at her. Nate rolled his eyes and looked at Mina.
“You can now leave.” He said to his secretary and looked back to Eille again.
Rayver stood at the side while Eille walked closer to Nate and hugged him, making Nate frown.
“I heard about what happened to your dad,” Eille said as she hugged Nate.
“How are you now?” She asked and looked up at Nate’s face. Nate took a deep breath and pushed her away from him.
“You’re so close,” Nate said coldly, so Eille was stunned as she knew that until now, Nate was not okay. But she needs to act and care for him to win him again, now that Beatrice has really gone to Nate’s life because of Clerophine.
“I’m sorry. I can’t help but to hug you.” Eille said. Rayver just watched them and was so disgusted as he saw how Eille hugged Nate.
He is sure she can’t do that when Beatrice is around Nate.
“Nate, I’m looking for-“They’re all looking at the door when someone enters. It’s Clerophine, and she was stunned to see Eille here and close to Nate.
Clerophine felt all her blood come up as she saw Elle close to Nate.
“What is she doing here?” Clerophine asked while looking into Eille. Rayver feels the intense atmosphere between Eille and Clerophine and is smelling something to Clerophine. Rayver senses jealousy in Clerophine’s words.
“I came here to check Nate if he’s okay,” Eille said, so Clerophine smiled at her sarcastically.
At this moment, Clerophine is so mad seeing Eille again that she puts Beatrice away from Nate and now thinks she needs to deal with Eille.
“I need to deal with another leech,” Clerophine said in her mind while looking at Eille.
“What are you doing here?” Nate asked Clerophine. So Clerophine turned her eyes on him and smiled.
“I came here to inform you about the case file of Beatrice,” Clerophine said, waiving the paper documents she was holding in the air.
“I told you not to file a case for her,” Nate snarled, so Eille looked at him and saw how mad Nate was.
“Why? Aren’t you going to give Dad justice?” Clerophine asked, so Eille looked at her.
“Look how good she acts to her brother. She really a devil.” Eille said in her mind.
“Leave her alone,” Nate said seriously, so Clerophine frowned.
“What? No! She must be in jail for killing Dad.”
“I said leave her alone, Clerophine.”
“Mom wants to give justice to Dad,” Clerophine said, so Eille looked at Nate.
“We should let Nate think and breathe for a while,” Eille said, so Clerophine looked at her badly.
“We must consider his feelings now instead of stressing him.” She added.
“Don’t join the conversation, Eille. This is a family matter.” Clerophine said while looking at her badly.
“Eille is right. Leave me alone.” Nate said, so the both of them looked at Nate.
“All of you, leave me alone.” He added and turned his back to them. Clerophine looked at Eille again with a deadly eye before she walked away. Rayver walked out also while Eille looked at Nate first before she left him alone.
When Eille already existed, Clerophine was waiting at her on the side, so Eille smirked as she saw how bad Clerophine looked at her.
“What’s with your deadly eyes?” Eille asked, annoying her.
“What are you doing here?” Clerophine asked.
“Are you deaf? I already said that I’m here for Nate.”
“Then Nate doesn’t need you. All he needs is his family, not garbage like you.” Clerophine said, which made Eille laugh.
“She and her mom are the same,” Eille said as she remembered how Celestine called her garbage.
“What’s with the sudden change of attitude, Clerophine? Aren’t we supposed to be teammates?” Eille asked with a smile on her lips
“You do nothing to get Beatrice out of Nate’s life,” Clerophine said, which made Eille laugh.
“I know. I just wait for you to do your thing, though.” Eille said, which made Clerophine blood boil more
“Leave Nate alone. We don’t need you anymore,” Clerophine said, so Eille laughed more.
“Come on, Clerophine, the little devil, you still need me.” She said and touched Clerophine’s hair.
“Don’t you remember I know what you did back then?” Eille added, so Clerophine was stunned as she remembered that Eille knew her plan.
“I can easily tell Nate what you did to your dad,” Eille said, smiling sweetly at her.
“So don’t pull the trigger on me because you don’t know how I think,” Eille added and gave Clerophine a strange smile before she walked away.
