Nate’s Family

Book:The White Wolf's Luna Published:2024-6-4

Beatrice gets off Nate’s car and looks at the Vowell mansion, they are already in front of the mansion, and Beatrice is very nervous as this is the first time she will meet Nate’s family after what she did to Nate.
Nate looked at Beatrice and smiled. He was sure they would accept Beatrice because he knew that Beatrice was their standard. Nate offered his hand to Beatrice, which she immediately took and smiled when Nate touched her hand.
“Are you nervous?” Nate asked her, Beatrice shook her head, and Nate knew she was lying. “I got your back, don’t worry,” Nate said, smiling at her.
They both enter the mansion, and every servant in the house sees that Nate is back, so they’re all bowing their heads as they see Nate walking.
Beatrice also noticed that, and she was shocked at how their servants gave respect to Nate.
‘He is really powerful.’ Beatrice commented in her mind as she watched the servants give respect to Nate.
“Where’s my mother?” Nate asked. An old lady came in front. She wore a maid uniform, so Beatrice suspected it was their Head maid.
“Ma’am Calestine was in her garden, Sir Nate.” The head maid said, so Nate nodded and walked to the garden with Beatrice.
Beatrice felt so nervous as they were headed to the garden. When they finally got in front of the garden, a beautiful woman in her 50s sat on a fabulous chair and cut some fresh roses.
“Mom,” Nate called the woman, so it turned its head in their direction, and Beatrice saw how beautiful Nate’s mom was. She wore a simple dress, but it fit her and looked so elegant. Beatrice can’t deny that Nate’s mother is a goddess.
“Nate, my son.” The woman said as she stood and walked closer to Nate. Beatrice watched the woman hug Nate and shower Nate with kisses. Beatrice saw how Nate rolled his eyes as his mom started to treat him like a baby.
“I miss you so much, my son.”
“Mom, please don’t treat me like a baby. My wife is watching,” Nate said, which made his mother stop and look at Beatrice. Her heart suddenly beat fast as his mother looked at her.
“Your what?”
“My wife, Mom,” Nate answered. Beatrice saw how his mom examined her from head to toe, and she knew already that his mom was so strict, and she knew that she would not accept her because of how she looked at Beatrice.
It’s giving Beatrice a vibe of ‘who is this woman?’ she was uncomfortable with how Nate’s mom looked at her.
“Did your Dad know about this?” His mom asked him without taking off her gaze to Beatrice.
“No, I came here with her to introduce her formally to the both of you,” Nate said, so his mom looked at him.
“I will just call your dad.” His mom said and looked at Beatrice again before she walked away. When Nate and Beatrice were left alone, Nate looked at Beatrice, and he knew how uncomfortable she was when facing his mother.
“Are you okay?” Nate asked. Beatrice looked at him and just smiled. She wanted to go home and leave there, but she couldn’t do anything since they were already there and his mom saw her.
“Just trust me, Beatrice, they will surely like you,” Nate said, smiling at her.
After a few minutes of waiting, Nate decided to take Beatrice inside again, and at that same time, his mother came from upstairs with his Dad.
“Dad,” Nate called his Dad and walked closer to him, and then hugged him. His Dad smiled at him as he saw his son again.
“Nate, I am so glad that you’re here again.” His Dad said and looked at Beatrice. “With your…?”
“Wife, Dad. Beatrice Fellope, my wife.” Nate said so. His Dad smiled at Beatrice, shocking Beatrice as she saw how Nate’s father smiled at her.
“Nice to meet you, Beatrice. I am Gastov Vowell, Nate’s Dad. Please don’t be so nervous. I can feel your energy.” Gastov said, which made Beatrice shocked as she looked at Gastov.
“How come he knew I was nervous? Is that how powerful he is?” Beatrice asked herself.
“Sir, Ma’am. The food is ready.” The head maid informed them, so Nate’s mom looked at them.
“Let’s eat; I ordered our maid to prepare food for us.” It said and started to walk towards the table, Gastov, Nate, and Beatrice followed her, and as they were all in front of the table where the food was, Nate helped Beatrice to sit on the chair before he sat beside her.
Gastov saw that, so he smiled as he knew his son was a grown man.
“I am so happy to see how Nate treats you, young lady,” Gastov said, so Beatrice smiled at him and looked at Nate.
“He always does that thing to me, Sir,” Beatrice said.
“Don’t call me Sir. It sounds like I am so very old. You can call me ‘papa’ since you’re my son’s wife.” Gastov said, which made Beatrice smile as she knew that his father liked her, and it eased some nervousness she was feeling right now.
“I am glad that you visited us, Nate.” Nate’s mother said, so Beatrice looked at her.
“Yeah, because I wanted to introduce her to the both of you,” Nate said to his mother. She suddenly looked at Beatrice.
“I haven’t formally introduced myself to you, young lady.” It said with a serious voice. “I am Calestine Vowell, Nate’s mother,” Celestine said with an earnest voice, which made Beatrice nervous as she looked at her.
“Well, Nate, you don’t even invite us to your wedding; what’s with the attitude?” Celestine asked Nate, so Beatrice kept her mouth shut because she knew his mom didn’t like her.
“It was a sudden wedding, Mom,” Nate said, so Calestine laughed.
“Sudden wedding? Really?” She asked and looked at Beatrice.
“Did you ever check her background?” She asked, which made Nate stop as his mom said that.
“Mom, what are you talking about?” Nate asked. Celestine looked at Beatrice.
“Look, let’s get to the point here.” She said while looking at Beatrice.
“I don’t like you to be my son’s wife.”
“Celestine, low your attitude,” Gastov said.
“Mom, what are you talking about?” Nate asked as his forehead frowned.
“I’m just being honest here. It’s better to be honest than to be dishonest.” Calestine straightly said.
“Don’t mind her, Beatrice; she is always like that,” Gastov said, smiling at Beatrice.
“No, dear, I’m like this when I know you did something to my son,” Celestine said, which made Beatrice stop.
As expected, they know what she did to their son.
